Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s Independence Day in Springfield! Time to blow stuff up and eat loads of Banana Kabooms! So now that we’ve got a little more red, white and blue in Springfield, just how do all those new items impact the Conform-O-Meter? As we’re approaching the halfway mark of the event, I thought now would be a good time to take a look at how all of these items impact the Conform-O-Meter ratings.
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
While the 4th of July Event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements (Level 42 did though!), it did bring us a ton of new items to add to our Springfield. Let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:
New Buildings:
Item | Cost | Category | Points |
Sit-N-Rotate | $10,000,000 | Gluttony | 100 |
Nighthawk Diner | 90 Donuts | Gluttony | 10 |
Lincoln’s Cabin | 150 Donuts | Indolence | 10 |
Giuseppe’s Workshop does not impact the Conform-O-Meter.
Decorations:
Item | Cost | Category | Points |
Lincoln Memorial | $100,000 | Vanity | 870 |
Liberty Bell | $50,000 | Obedience | 10 |
American Flag | $5,600 | Vanity | 450 |
Fireworks Barge | 80 Donuts | Vanity | 800 |
Cherry Tree | 180 Donuts | Indolence | 10 |
Pinwheel Firework | 40 Donuts | Vanity | 450 |
Crate of Fireworks | 60 Donuts | Vanity | 600 |
Lisa Statue of Liberty | 75 Donuts | Obedience | 10 |
So there you have it my friends! The complete rundown of how all of the new 4th of July Goodies impact the Conform-O-Meter. Lots of new decorations/buildings to improve your ratings all around!
How’s your Conform-O-Meter doing? Are you maxed out? Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!
I’ve been maxed out a long time ago !
Then you gotta love that 5% bonus.
Does anyone else have problems with the conform-o-meter? all my criteria are maxxed out but I don’t get the bonus I’m supposed to. So annoying!
What do you mean? You don’t get extra 5% on taps? Or something else? What does it show you should get when you tap on your stars?
I’m supposed to get 77.70% money and XP but I’m still get the standard, no bonus. You can see my conform-o-meter and supposed ‘bonus’ below. http://tinypic.com/r/2wcr411/8
So try this out for me if you will. Wait for Gulp n Blow to show it’s ready to collect. Take a screenshot of your XP & $$$ totals. Then ONLY tap on the Gulp n Blow. Nothing else. As soon as your game collects the $$$ & XP, take a screenshot again of your total counts of $$$ & XP. Send SS to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com
This is just a friendly heads up about a typo in the Decorations chart above for the Lisa Statue of Liberty. It obviously should be “Donuts” not “Dpmits” for the cost.
Dpmits don’t work as an alternate name? No? Lol.
It is what happens when the mind going a million miles an hour and the typing fingers don’t quite sync up right. That…or creating a post WAAAAAAAAAAAAY after bedtime. 😉
In the Should I Buy for the Cherry Tree it says it impacts tree-hugging but here it says indolence. Which one is right?
Indolence. I think my eyes jump in the files when doing the Should I Buy. Correcting it now, thanks for pointing it out! 🙂
No probs. 🙂
When is the 4th of July event over so i can finish all my quests thank you
July 16th 🙂
Giuseppe’s Workshop is listed for Consumerism, but contributes nothing according to the files. Also, Sit-N-Rotate appears to be valued at 100, not 10.
We have in notated already that it impacts nothing. 😉
Ahh… I missed that part. *embarrassed* I was wondering why it wasn’t in the list, looked it up myself, and was sad to see it doesn’t even give the usual 10 point bump to its rating.
No worries. 😉 It is odd to us too the items that EA decides to not include in the meters.
Very serious question…
I have saved up 330 donuts to date… And planning to blow them all off on the Cherry Tree and Lincoln’s Cabin…
Is it worthwhile? Please do not reply “up to me” cos I dunno what to do!!! 🙁
In my opinion, YES. They’re limited-time characters, have fun actions and funny questlines. So i totally would do it (plus the cherry tree gives a bonus % on all cash and XP)
Yes yes yes!!! I’ll buy them… Thanks Alissa!!! 🙂
anytime 🙂
I don’t think that is a good idea unless you already have the other characters.
I think Frink, Otto, Barney (a little more expensive) or every standalone characters like Moleman and the Squeaky Voiced Teen would be a better purchase. They have a more prominent role in the show and add more to the game than the 2 presidents. The only pro in the Lincoln and Washington is that they are limited.
However, if you already have those characters then go right ahead.
No, I haven’t have all the other premium characters yet except the teen (won that)…
Now you have put doubts in my mind again… 🙁
This is why it is hard when you ask others opinions. Each person may have a separate response. That is why we say it all comes down to what YOU feel you want in the game and what YOU want to get out of them. The combos vary from the individual characters. So each will have its pros and cons of the package. That is why we do the Should I Spend Donuts posts. So you have a run down idea of what the ins n outs of the items are to help. 😉
Thanks Bunny for the “strict yet helpful” advice… 🙂
I’ll make my mind up before the 16th…
Bunny’s more cautious on the Donut button than I am lol
LOL… Nice to have different perspective from a spendthrift and a miser… In donuts term of course… B-)
Lincoln was the first thing ever spent donuts on… He’s so worth it (imho). Good quest line, good outdoor tasks, just so awesome.
I adore them both. 😉
A good question. I’m debating it myself. I was going to jump on them both being that they are limited time items, but there are still regular characters that I need. I have Frink, Otto, SVT, but I still need Barney and Moleman and some of the other regular secondary characters offered as premium characters. I believe EA offered these Presidents last year (I wasn’t playing at the time, I’m not sure), so perhaps they will do the same next year? I don’t know. So I may hold off. That said, I still may “pull the trigger” on them at the last moment before they leave on the 16th… Who knows? As Bunny said, it all comes down to how they will enhance the game for you. If they are “must-have” characters and you don’t want to chance not getting them at all (if EA never offers them again), then definitely go for it.
