So Level 43 has been out for a little now and you may have found yourself spending more time in your own theme parks. Of course, our KLs are inspired by the real world Krustyland at the two different Universal Studios theme parks but our TSTO versions are a bit different. When art imitates reality, it can be fun and KL is just one of those things for this fuzzball.
One of the big changes recently was the addition of the Tavern on the Scream restaurant. I got super excited to see EA add something from Itchy & Scratchy Land to KL. That of course got me thinking about all the other goodness that could be brought into KL from the Simpsons so I figured I’d dish on it a bit here.
Itchy & Scratchy Land. What a great episode! If you have never seen it or it’s been a while since viewing, it’s definitely worth re-watching the fourth episode from season six. I&S Land has a very violent motif but it’s pretend violence so it must be ok, right? Imagine a land that embodies all the cartoon violence of the infamous cat & mouse duo and you probably are close to enjoying all the stuff that could come from there. It’s the amusement park of the future where nothing can possi-blye go wrong.
Some items never seen but mentioned are Parent’s Island, TV Town, Hammock Land, Recipe-related Bumper Cars and a world class chemical dependency center and all that stuff is just for the parents. Recently EA has been having fun making new items never before seen so this seems right up their alley. I&S Land also has a sign stating the Head Basher, Blood Bath, Mangler and Nurse’s Station are all not operating. The Nurse’s Station makes an appearance but those others sound ripe for sick designs. Another ride mentioned but not shown is the Nauseator. I’m not sure I want to see that grossness but maybe it’s a radical roller coaster? Lots of ideas for original stuff for KL.
The bomb shaped ticket booths would be neat in KL too!
Of course, those familiar with I&S Land remember the four “Lands” associated with it:
We could get signs to separate KL lands or maybe one of these items. I like Scratchy stuck in the Iron Maiden… way too funny. (NERD NOTE: I always say excellent after Iron Maiden and bogus when the King wants to execute me lol). Here’s a couple other things from I&S we could see added:
T.G.I. McScratchy’s Goodtime Foodrinkery (where it’s always New Year’s Eve) or maybe the Itchy & Scratchy Land Child Care Center. If anything, it’d be great to see toddlers lost in the ball pit.
Check out the buildings in the background of the Itchy & Scratchy Robot Parade. If you miss the parade, there will be another in 5 minutes.
Of course that image points out that Krustyland could look really cool with Itchy & Scratchy Robots. They’d probably be NPCs but they’d be worth it for KL tickets.
I&S Land also has its own log ride which is much more original.
Other cool things are the I&S Land Camera shop (how else to stop killer robots?) and Itchy’s Mine Field.
The last thing to show is The Roger Myers Story building. This looks cool and makes me think of a similar attraction in Florida. If not the building, we could at least get the statue of him with Itchy & Scratchy. Since I always think of the house of mouse when I’m designing KL, why not make the parody official?
Reader Mathew W. pointed out that Roger Myers Jr. should really be able to go to Krustyland and those last two would be a perfect way to introduce him. Well, that’s enough new ideas to throw out for one walking carpet. Let me know what you think or if I missed anything besides Itchy’s 70s Disco which was excluded on purpose. Keep on tapa-tapa-tapping in the free world.

I’m mostly a freemium player and I have decided against building KrustyLand. Am I missing out on anything important by doing that? There are just too many other things to do between Springfield Heights and now the monorail.

Has krustyland’s Fan-ticket generation time decreased? It seems so. It was 4 hours. Now they are appearing earlier.

I would love to see Hugs Bunny get an 8 hour KL task, he seems like a perfect fit.
One thing they HAVE to add soon is a carousel. What kind of theme park does not have one?
I think it would be cool if they allowed you to add a kiddie land to KL, full of those crappy rides that kids love.

Hi guys just wanted to post I just got small update it removed George SN added a icon for Gil not sure if there was anything else other then Homer has a task that’s 16 hours from the 4th of July event left in his task menu that could of been removed not sure yet havmt checked. Just figured I’d give you all a heads up in case you missed it. Happy taoping

Has anyone noticed there was a tiny update today?
I,went to look,under the Premium Items tab and it was blank except for the gill deal, so I clicked it, the. Exited it and Gil had a message for me.
Then all the Premium stuff was back. But after I visited the Town Visiting screen and came back, it was empty again Exocet for the gill deal.
Any idea what they updated?
And Selma still has her 2 hour task before her 1 hour task.
They fixed Bernice, so,what about this?

I love this episode! Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa could all get the task: stop killer robots with flash photography. Can’t you just picture the animation?
