Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
With this new update we’ve been transported back in time and Springfield has gone Medieval on us! Either that or we’ve been transported into another game all together! In either case…new event means new questline. New questline means time for another Turbo Tappin’ Walkthrough!
This questline has a lot of twists and turns in it and is really a fun one to read. So make sure you read it all while playing, otherwise you’ll miss out on a lot of fun! (We will, however, have a full dialogue questline up towards the end of the event, just in case you missed anything)
In addition to interesting dialog, the main questline branches off in several places. What I’ve done for this first part is run through everything you’ll need to complete the main questline, Prince and the Premise. This includes the questlines Clash of the Clones and The Power of Upgrades because those questlines will stop progress on Prince and the Premise until they’re complete (you’ll see what I mean below). The other “side quests” we’ll cover in another post (those are quests for the Cheaters, Castle Recycle, Boxingham Palace & other prizes).

Upgrade Castle Recycle to Level 8- This will cost Elixir. To Reach Level 8 you’ll need 5,850 total Elixir. This will take away from your total Elixir.
Upgrade Boxingham Palace to Level 7- This will cost Elixir. To Reach Level 7 you’ll need 4,250 total Elixir. This will take away from your total Elixir
*so to upgrade ALL 3 castles for this quest you’ll need 20,350 Elixir.
Upgrade Archer Lisa to Level 7- 7,150 Gold is required for Lisa to Reach Level 7. Remember this will not take away from your Gold total.
Upgrade Goblin Bart to Level 5- 6,300 Gold is required for Bart to Reach Level 5. Remember this will not take away from your Gold total.

And with that…the main questline is complete! Whew! What an update! Lots of twists and turns, and spin offs!
Now, there are a few side quests that will pop up as you go through the update. (castle upgrades) We’ll cover them in a separate post.

Is there a glitch where marge does not show up in the game? The power of upgrades quest never began for me after the whole Upgrades conversation after “Rage against the noobs”, so wizard Marge is still locked, and I am well past the 5K gold. In the task bar I have “pointless-yet-compulsive pt. 1” and it takes me to the barbarian castle when I click on upgrade Wizard Marge.
And…it may sound silly…but do you have Marge unlocked in your game? ie have Moe’s Tavern built
If that’s the case and it’s still happening try storing and replacing Moe’s. If it’s still not working next step is to contact EA….
I am on part 23 of the Prince and the Premise. I have already build the mansion. But my barbarian and smithers will not unlock to go on the date. Any suggestions. Smithers has been drunk and slept it off already as well.
You might have to fully complete Smithers questline…however you can try storing the Burns Mansion and replacing it. That might help refresh the task..
No luck. Still not high lighting his task for a date. Do both characters have to be available for it to work? Or can the enter the task one at a time????

can anyone help? I’ve emailed EA but still not response. I’ve completed part 17 where you have to get homer to rage against the noobs, and I have enough gold to unlock the wizard marge skin, but I cannot use her. there’s nothing in my inventory. it’s come up with the quest to make wizard marge throw fireballs but I cannot make her do this, an also one of the tasks requires me to upgrade her to level 3, when I click it it takes me to the barbarian castle but no option to upgrade. pretty stuck not sure what else I can try 😥
So nothing in the lil brown cardboard box inventory on the lower left side in the menus? Costumes are close to the very end of the list so you gotta scroll all the way through.
All troubleshooting tried? Including clearing cache/data, uninstall app, restart device, reinstall the app?
Store Moe’s to pull Marge n Moe out of the game, reset device, replace Moe’s back and see if any changes in costumes or inventory?
ANy +/- Next to Marge’s pic when you tap on her to set her to a task?
no nothing in the inventory is showing, and no + by her name to change skin 🙁 I’ve stores moes then replaced it. have skipped through towns to try get it to sync but still nothing. have deleted the game and reinstalled it with no luck. still waiting on a response from EA, not sure what else I can do!
Did you see the Power of Upgrades quest pop up? If you’re not sure check the side task menu and tap on the icons to see where you are.
yeah it came up and now on my side bar there is the task ‘power of upgrades part 2’ to make wizard marge throw fireballs but I can’t complete it as she’s not there! it’s been annoying me for a while, I hope it’s not something simple that I’m missing haha
Go to Moe’s. Store it. Pull Marge and Moe out of the game. Restart your device. Come back to game. Replace Moe’s and Marge n Moe will return. See if it triggers anything. If not, try uninstall/reinstall. If still nothing and you are the part it triggers here in Power of Upgrades and she is NOT in your inventory AND you won her skin by Gold collection…Contact EA.
I contacted EA and after a week they replied, they have added the marge wizard skin to my inventory so I can now continue on with the storyline! thanks for your help 🙂

I’m not sure of this is the right place to post this problem so apologies if it isn’t. I was tapping like crazy at the weekend and a message flashed up that I’d been awarded 30 free donuts. Because I’ve had other items that haven’t appeared in my inventory lately, I made a point of checking my current donut total & I noticed that the total then didn’t increase. I intend to open up a ticket with EA but I’ve been sooo busy the last few days and I have a memory like a sieve & I was so bust fighting off invaders that I wasn’t really paying attention to why/how I’d earnt them. EA will ask me details of the quest line etc but I honestly can’t remember what it was. I’ve finished the clash of the babarians quest line ages ago so I’m not sure if was that or not. Can anyone help please? Thank you
Nothing in the quests for 30 but it may have been from the mystery box. Definitely let EA know.

I’ve finished this event and have loads of elixir and gold – it keeps telling me to continue to collect gold but doesn’t mention any prizes! I’m a bit bored with it now and wondered if it’s worth raiding to get gold – not sure I can keep up levels of enthusiasm until October!
For every 8,000 gold you earn 1,000 elixir. I’m hoping EA adds some more elixir items to purchase soon 🙂
Anyone know what happens after the event with the upgrading of characters? I know it said keep upgrading and your friends will see your progress after the event is complete.
Basically just that. Somehow EA will have it show off your character levels when the event ends. Beyond that, I’d say nothing.
Can anyone help me, I cant use my barbarian homer ir the other one. they stay in my inventory??
That is really odd. They become playable really quick. What troubleshooting have you tried? Where in the event questlines are you?
Would really like it if we could help neighbors by attacking the nerds already attacking their neighborhood and of course receive gold $$ & elixir for being good neighbors
HELP! can’t get wizard Marge. I’m on level 37 and have Moes Tavern and 5000+ gold. Why won’t she get unlocked !?

I’m really struggling with this update.
I’ve only just unlocked marge and my castles are only at level 6.
Maybe I have poor friends?
Is it best to send one nerd to attack each house so I can cover more houses? Or get them destroyed quicker and spread out my attacks as nerds regenerate?
If your neighbors aren’t attacking regularly. I’d suggest sending one nerd per building to random towns. Lots of tappers have been claiming big payouts doing this. If you’re sending nerds at a time most people are sleeping, you can send more to try and destroy buildings.
At the end, barbarian is homo just like smithers? Didn’t expect for this!
It was a surprise joke. Now Smithers can be happy in the game.

I’m also not sure why there are comments about having to spend donuts to complete the quests with this event (unless I misread something). I just started the last task – the one with Smithers – and spent nary a sprinkle. I thought the climax was funny and not an insult to us freemium players at all. And I like that it came with 15 donuts, too.
I have to upgrade Bart to level 3 but he doesn’t appear in the list when I tap Boxingham Palace. Do I have to finish another quest first or is this a bug?
He should appear on the Boxingham list towards the bottom. If he’s not showing, you may need to contact EA.
I just finished part 23 without spending a single Donut. also i am currently at almost 25k gold so not sure why this needs to last another month…longest event ever, but very quick to complete.
Some have breezed through and others are still behind. It is definitely the longest event EA has done. I’m sure there’s some method to the madness i.e. different progressions, tappers starting late, needing to buy time, etc.
Just FYI – I just finished Prince & The Premise Part 21 (steal premium currency) and I got 15 donuts as well as elixir
(and I just saw that someone else only got 2 donuts for that? I wonder if it has anything to do with how upgraded your castles are – mine are all at Level 13 now – or if it is completely random?
When the game first started, the payout was 2. The most recent update changed it to 15.
How is this event so long? I’m a strictly freemium player and I’m just over half way through the gold prizes and two tasks away from finishing the quest track (so to those saying you’re mad that you need to spend donuts for this one, not true!). I can’t see how it’s going to last for another month and then some…

This is my favorite event since the games beginnings. By far the funniest dialogue and most spanning storyline. I have loved every bit of their tongue in cheek deconstruction of these type of games. Their callous honesty and irreverence is what I love most about the Simpsons! I couldn’t be more pleased with an event! Can’t wait to finish my castle upgrades so I can start doing more with design! Tonight after I finish the story line I’m going to use the nuclear option for the first time. Thanks EA for the extra land!
FYI – I’m a freemium player and this update feels like an awesome Christmas gift. I would pay for a dragon though! 😉

A dragon or two (Equalian bullies perhaps) would be more fitting of the medieval period than a balloon, which was invented in 1783.
Me thinks they picked the balloon to mock yet another element of the game they’re poking fun at.
Hi, can someone help. I am a bit lost – I want to get the individual prizes but I have to keep spending gold to get through the quests. Is this normal or is something wrong? If its normal then is it better to upgrade first and then try for the individual prizes or is it better to keep all the gold, ignore the quest lines, get the individual prizes and then go back and finish the quests? I have been playing from the start and spending the gold to upgrade so I haven’t got to the individual prize of Marge yet. Or is it a balancing act? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Just to help you set your mind at ease. The Personal Prizes do NOT cost Gold. They are just points of Gold you hit throughout the game. Once you hit them, the prize unlocks. It may not be usable right away as some items only completely open for use during points in the questline, but no worries…they sit in your inventory til they hit that point.

Wow what a let down! Stonecutters was so much better than this clone bit! Prince and premise pt21 is really LAME!!! A 2 donut reward after all that text about how much the Simpsons scored! Then the following text about how all the players are wasting their lives playing this game is insulting. I know it’s intended as a joke but I don’t think it’s funny and I might quit playing!
I agree…whoever wrote the text for this event should be fired. I’m also considering quitting the game. It’s one thing to make so much of this event available only via donuts, but then to mock us for using donuts on top of it is pretty damn rude. A few too many insults for my taste, and they’re obviously very bitter about Clash of Clans being higher ranked. The whole feel of this event is mean-spirited.

Plus it never cost donuts to start these quests…..in fact I recieved 15 donuts for playing at the start 🙂 plus a 15 donut reward after the final pillage!
This was a fantastic FREE update.
Are you kidding? The entire event is free, unless you want to buy extra walls or other premium stuff. So unless you paid with donuts through the entire storyline, you shouldn’t have spent a single cent.
I don’t understand why people keep saying you have to use donuts to get through this event. I’m completely done with the whole thing and NEVER spent one crumb of a donut on it. In fact, I received 15 donuts.
I posted a comment asking about amount of castle upgrades vs decorations, but I found what I was looking for….so never mind. Looked for the post to delete it, but didn’t see it. When you come across it you can delete it of you like. Thanks guys!

You may have already covered this, & I simply overlooked it, but…how many upgrades are required to unlock the decorations. For instance, my main castle (barbarian) is lvl 7, but I only have the stocks & the haycart unlocked. I don’t want to just place a bunch of stocks around, simply to finish a mission (the one that says place 10 decs). Thank you in advance 🙂
Walls, towers and gates unlock when you level up the castle to 10. Barbarian stuff costs elixir, others cost donuts.
Maybe a minor update, but I was able to start Prince and the Premise Pt 18 & 19 while still waiting to finish The Power of Upgrades Pt 3. If you meant that all I had to do was start the latter in order to continue the primary quest, the wording was a tad confusing. Thanks! 🙂

How do you earn gold? I feel like I am playing it constantly but am getting very little! Help!
Biggest way I am earning is by having neighbors that attack multiple buildings frequently.
I’m on Prince and the Premise Pt. 16. I was having some issues with the game crashing. How many Barbarian Castle walls are awarded or earned?

Having a problem with bulking up homer. Everytime I hit do it on the task menu it sends me straight to the buildings menu. Not sure if this is a bug or if I’m missing something.
Do you have the main Krustyland placed? That is where he “bulks up”.
Other than boosting your town defense, is there any benifits to continuing upgrades to your castles? I have all my castles at level 10 currently. The upgrades are starting to be steap in elixer price. Wondering if its worth it?

I just unlocked Wizard Marge and I already have Moe’s Tavern, but the Power of Upgrades quest line is not starting. I have waited for Homer to be available, but the prompts do not start. I have tried putting Moe’s Tavern in my inventory and placing it again, but this doesn’t work. Any ideas?
Sounds like you’ve done everything you can and are at the right part for it to start. You may need to go the EA route now for resolution.
