Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Clash of Clones is here and with it comes a whole new set of buttons and icons for your town. Confused about where to find this or what something means? Well we’re here to break it all down for you! So let’s check out how to find everything you’ll need for this event and what it all means….
After you build your Barbarian Castle your Springfield will covert over to the Clash of Clones event and your main Springfield screen will look something like this:
So what do all these new icons mean? Let’s break it down….everything circled in red is what’s new:
Just above your Level box (bottom left) you’ll see the 3 icons for the event, I like to call this your on hand indicator. Here’s what those mean (from left to right):
this guy shows your Nerd total (my town had 12 currently to send out. This is NOT your max per town…this is just how many nerds you currently have on hand)
How much Elixir you currently have on hand. This will go up and down as you earn more Elixir and buy more things with Elixir (also Leveling up Castles will take away Elixir)
How much Gold you currently have on hand. This will NOT decrease for any reason. Your Gold total will only increase…even if you Level up your Characters and Claim prizes you will not lose Gold.
If you tap on the ? mark icon next to the Gold it will bring up the Event Guide:
Ok so now that we’ve got the on hand indicator figured out…let’s jump over to the right side of the main Springfield screen:
Let’s start at the top….with those 2 indicators:
This one will send you to attack a Random Springfield. So when you tap on it you’ll automatically go to a random Springfield to attack. It will take you to the Castle, if it’s available to attack. However, if the castle is already under attack it will take you to an open house to attack.
This one indicates how many Cheaters 20 you currently have on hand. Cheaters can be used to instantly attack a Castle/building OR to defend/repair all attacked/destroyed buildings in your town. (more info on cheaters here) Currently you cannot use cheaters until you’ve won them on the prize chart (3rd prize). At that point you’ll be able to start using them and this icon will appear in your town (note…it may not appear right away. You may have to go to another town and come back to your town for it to show up). To use a cheater in your town simply tap on this icon and follow the instructions on the screen.
Now to the bottom right….
This is your access to the entire event. All of the content to buy and the prizes can easily be accessed through this button. Once you tap on it you’ll be take to your castle screen and 3 new icons will pop up on the bottom right of your screen:
The first three icons are repeating what you saw on the main screen.
Will tell you the Cheaters you have on hand to use.
Tells you the defense level of your town. You increase your defense levels by leveling up your castles. So this number will increase as you level up your castles and increase your defense. More on defending your Springfield here.
And again the ? will take you to the event info page.
Below those top icons you have the castle overviews. When they’re all unlocked they’ll look like this:
Note: You’ll also see on this one, when the nerds are maxed out they’ll show up in red.
Tapping the i next to the castle will give you a quick view on how many nerds you’ll earn every 2 hrs for each castle:
Tapping on view will take you right to that castle. You can tap on the castle again to see the castle stats. Each castle will give you an overview of that castle and show you the characters associated with that castle. Here’s a look at the Barbarian Castle at it’s most basic point:
Again you’ll see your Nerd, Elixir & Gold count across the top. Then below it you’ll see what Level the Castle is currently at, how much it’ll cost to Level up and how your Nerd Training is going.
As you progress in the game your characters will be added to it as well, and you’ll see their Level and progress as well. Here’s how the Castle Looks after you’ve added Homer:
The Barbarian Castle will show you Homer and Marge’s progress (when you unlock her), Castle Recycle will show you Lisa’s progress and Boxingham Palace will show you Bart’s progress.
Now back to those other two icons at the bottom of the Event Screen…
This icon will show you the Prize list, and everything you can win via the event…
And this one will take you to the event section of the store. It will show you all the items you can purchase for the Clash of Clans Event.

I can’t unlock wizard marge out of my storage and I have all my castles and all my other characters, Bart Lisa and Homer are all maxed out. I love this game. But this problem is driving me crazy. Please help.
What part are you at in the main quest line? Each character/item unlocks as the quest asks for them.
She wont be brought into the game until Prince and The Premise Pt. 17. At that point Power of Upgrades starts and she will be brought in after Part 1
It has taken me a long time to get to 5000 gold coins. As I reached it my gold coins were reduced to 4804. Has anyone had this happen
Your gold amount should not go down. Definitely let EA know and they can remedy it for you.
I am on level 11 in the barbarian castle and I have all my top prizes, the 2 castles, both homers, and wizard marge. But they are all stored in my inventory and ate all locked. At level 11 i should have already been able to unlock both homers and the recycle castle. And my game is telling me to make the barbarian and Homer switch places, but when I click on it and try to do that both my homers are still locked in my inventory. My game is also telling me to upgrade archer Lisa and wizard marge but when I click on it they are also locked in my inventory. I am on level 11 in the barbarian castle. How do I unlock both my homers, my archer Lisa and her castle, and upgrade wizard marge if they are all locked and I can’t unlock them.
I wish there was more we could do from our end but this issue sounds like something that can only be fixed by EA. Hopefully they can fix you up quickly.

During one of the Barbarian Homer dialogues it said you can trade elixer for gold thru Cletus. Is that really possible or just part of dialogue? All i see is a 16 hour ‘Confront gold miners’ in BH’s choices.
Unfortunately just part of the dialogue.
It says I have earned wizard large but she also shows as locked in my inventory? It is asking me to upgrade her but that isn’t possible if I don’t have her. What do I need to do?
Once you get to that part of the questline (Power of Upgrades) you should be able to unlock her. She fully unlocks with the questline 🙂

But basically just tap a house or castle that was attacked in your town and you’ll see a red revenge button in the popup, just tap on that 🙂

Is it just me that doesn’t have the prize icon anywhere in my game? I have literally NO idea what prize I’m going for at this point….
That is very odd. Try some basic troubleshooting to see if it comes back. It should be there as directed in this post.

Not sure if this is a glitch or just poor EA execution. I am unable to collect my nerds or complete castle upgrades if my castles are under attack.
No…that is correct. You need to Defend or Repair your Castle than you can access it.

well under 100 friends and only just started playing a week or so ago.
Completely. It does not use the gold. Think of your gold as a event progression indicator. It never goes down. So if Homer needs X for an upgrade. You just have to be at that point. Just remember that elixir though works just like game cash
Hey guys, just wondering if there is a way to see how long until my attacks are done? Im waiting for more Eliot for a castle upgrade and dont know how long until I will be getting some :/
We don’t it all depends on how fast they Defend or until the time runs out and it’s destroyed.
As we progress, how do we know how many is our Nerd Max number? I want to avoid a situation where new nerds come but I lost some of them due to suddenly hitting a nerd max level.
I am now on castle Level 11.

Question:
I have enough gold to unlock wizard marge, but it shows up locked in my storage? It says I need to to the power of upgrade part 1, but I have already done that.

So you already got the dialog telling you to use Wizard Marge? It is during Part 2 of the Power of the Upgrade.
