Alissa revved up the discussion in the Sunday Night Open Thread.
MONDAY: Alissa brought the giggles and laughter with YOUR pics in this weeks Caption This. She then came back with some fun YOU asked for, we want pics with the lil LEGO Simpsons figures from around the world…sent by YOU. Then got you excited at Something is COMING! Then a quick last minute reminder to grab Gil’s Deal if you wanted Otto and his Bus.
TUESDAY: Alissa started off the day letting you know that we just saw something arrive and it was about to Invade Our Springfield’s.
WOOHOO NEW NERD EVENT!! BUNNY GOES HOPPING MAD!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
Alissa starts things off with a quick run down of Clash of Clones and all the goodies we see as we start pulling details and testing out the new stuff live. She also tosses out a Silly Trailer for the game.
WEDNESDAY: Bunny hops in with the Gold Calendar we KNOW you will be looking for. She then bounced on in to provide a little breakdown on the Art of Attacking your neighbors for this event.
Alissa then jumped on in with a sneak attack to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUNNY! (Frak I am getting old.) She then came back to remind us all of the Wednesday Elixr Special we will see throughout the event. She then gave you a reminder that the EVERY SIMPSONS EPISODE EVER marathon was about to begin. You watching it?
THURSDAY: Bunny hopped in to help out with some of the new Glitches hitting with the Clash of Clones event. Then she brought you the Art of Defending your town.
Alissa then provided the quick quick version in Turbo Tappin Clash of Clones. She then gave a quick summary of the Patch Update that hit. The Patch triggered the 15 FREE DONUTS!
FRIDAY: Bunny started the day with a lil help in understanding the Cheaters 20 Sided Die.
Alissa then gave us a great breakdown of all the Event Icons and how to find stuff for the event.
Wookiee then joined the fun with a lil look into what he did to make his town more medieval in Diary of a Wookiee.

What quest do you have to complete to get bart and lisas castles? I’ve had them for 2 days now and can’t build them cause no quests have come up about them. Very frustraiting! If you earn a prize you should get it as soon as you earn it 🙁

I’m still trying to figure out my strategy for this event. It seems obvious that we’re all better off if everyone only attacks and never (or rarely) defends. It’s also much better to attack random towns instead of your neighbors.
So it would be nice to know when you enter a random town whether or not they agree with these ideas and will allow their homes/castles to be destroyed. I thought a nice way to do this would be for the Tapped Out community on tsto (TopiX, Reddit, etc.) to agree on a signal we could use to communicate with each other. For example, we all agree to put a newspaper dispenser to the left side of our Barbarian Castle if we will allow our buildings to be attacked.
I’m sure this has already been suggested myriad times, but there are sooo many comment sections to keep up with when a new even is released I haven’t seen it. If you guys think it’s a good idea, decide what signal you think we should use and let us know. We will all follow your lead!
Only problem I see with not defending is you won’t get your nerds from the castles. I can understand houses. If you have a solid set of active neighbors though, you can get a good payout from just attacking and defending regularly. We’ll be having a strategy post coming out next week. Not sure about a symbol but I’d be surprised if folks on the forum didn’t already come up with something.
OK what a week and what a great update one for grinders and freemiums with no essential items requiring real money.(doughnuts to you and me)

Patch…glitch fixes
Saw a post on the Tapped Out FB page about special troop replacement on Saturday (today). Any idea what that is about? I apologize if I missed that in one of the other posts, so much going on! :0
We saw it too in the release of the event. We are waiting for it to hit the games and go live (if we are reading right, about 2pm EST but not sure). Once it hits the games and we can verify the info we saw…we will post more on it. This looks to be a weekly thing like the Elixr sales.
