Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
How are my favorite Addicted Tappers this evening? How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting? I’m making the most out of the last few weeks of summer by spending the next few days down at the Jersey Shore, soaking in as much of the sand, sun & surf as I can!
Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time for that wonderful Duff! (although that’d be nice 😉 ) Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread! (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way! You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

The Clash of Clones update dropped on us this week, are you enjoying the update so far? Still a little confused on it all? Sunday Night Baseball features the Angles vs. Athletics…will you be checking it out? NFL Preseason Football features the Bengals vs the Cardinals…are you ready for some football?

I had a great idea but I dont have the necessary decorations to do it. So I figure I will throw it out into the tsto universe. If you have the 3 tents from Wacking Day 2013 then you should put them inside you barbarian castle and make it into a Ren Faire!! Please someone do this, it is the only way I can think of that will make the castle part of your town without being a weird castle in your town 🙂
I also wish that the castle (well at least Bart and Lisa’s) were storeable. Do you think they will make that an option once the event is done?

i finally earned enough money for the sit ‘n’ rotate, and was super psyched, and i built it, and it took three days, and i sent skinner and patty/selma (i can’t remember which one) on their task for it… which is all great… except now, patty/selma has a two-hour task at the top of her queue, as if that were something she needs to go on, like for when quest tasks shoot to the top above even the 45 second tasks. the same thing had happened for cool milhouse, and i can’t recall now whether that was a glitch that was fixed or what, but now it’s happening with patty/selma (and skinner, which is less important because i have his stonecutter skin, for which this is inapplicable). the reason it’s annoying is because when i’m clicking on their face buttons and sending everyone i have on four-hour tasks or eight-hour tasks or whatever, it’s all well and good and everyone’s task list is auto-scrolled down to their four- or whatever-houred task. then when i get to patty/selma, in place of whatever-houred task everyone else had in that spot where my finger was, i now have her two-hour thing. i know it’s such a stupid thing to complain about, and i’ve forced myself to become conscious of it so it’s becoming less of a problem, but it’s still annoying. does anyone (everyone?) else have this issue? is it a bug? if it’s a bug, will this get fixed?
All I can suggest is report it to EA. I only assume they get stuck temporarily due to they are a “special” task requiring a special item and usually locked until that item is purchased. So they get unlocked and don’t really have a “home” yet among the others until EA sorts them in.
Is the elixir bundle you win at 9500 coins worth 4000 elixir? I won it, spent 2000 on a castle upgrade and had about about 1200 left. Wondering if I got short changed.
That is what we are trying to verify. The pic and info show a truck…but reports that just a bundle was added for many (200 Elixr)
Would be great if you guys setup a post or thread for honorably mentioning some of the great designs of random towns we’re attacking.
For example, there was a strangers town who had designed huge pacman scene out of flowers, and huge homer and bart out of shrubs (thought this was amazing). Another town had written ‘boobies’ out of hedges right next to their castle.
Nice… easiest way to do this yourself is to take screenshots and share on Flickr or another image sharing site. Stinks we don’t know the names of the random folks.
Late to the thread but wanted to say I’m enjoying this event, I wasn’t sure at the start but I’m finding the attacking and defending a fun change. Although I’ve been playing since April I don’t have any neighbour towns yet so it’s my first chance to try out visiting other people’s visions of Springfield.
When I first saw the gold calendar and got my first two gold coins I thought I’d never get to the target but it quickly speeds up, and I’m already working towards the balloon. At the moment I think I’ll be finishing the event with plenty of time to spare.
In other news I really enjoyed the new Doctor Who on Saturday night, got off to a great start (which was helped with a coincidental fly past by the Red Arrows).
I got a notice that I had upgraded my castle as much as I could and that I could buy spare parts for it.
The next step is to upgrade my defenses, which I don’t want to do. I want my Springfields weak and vulnerable so more people will lay waste to it !!!
I want to use my surplus elixir to buy upgrades for my castle, is there anything after the defense upgrade? I already get 15 nerds per castle and don’t really care if I get more then that.
