Oh hey there tappereenos. I guess I got a bit carried away with all the war in my town. In the midst of this war, we all find ourselves with lots of questions. In the Clash of Clones, after some “patient” tapping and questline progression, we earn fancy skins for our favorite yellow family. With earned gold, we can then upgrade each. Each skin has unique tasks and upgrades increase elixir payouts. Besides, the game also requires upgrades for certain quests so you kinda gotta do it. As long as you’re at the required gold level, you can level up each character. They also include hilarious level up messages poking fun at geeks, LARPers and strategy gamers. Let’s take a look at the tasks and elixir increases by level and character.

Marge opens at a certain point in the questline. Until then, she will wait in your inventory until she is needed in the game.

anyone have a fix for the Marge glitch yet? Well past the levels and she just sits locked in inventory
Only fix if you should already have her is to get in contact with EA.
Yeah, but the payouts only increase for the 8+ hrs tasks. I like to send my characters hourly and keep them free for any quest tasks (yes, this could be avoided by following the turbo tapping, but sometimes I just don’t have the time or energy to pay that too close attention). Also, the payouts are so low compared to the regular raiding, that I stopped sending my characters on non-quest related elixir tasks and am still working them for straight cash. I’m only 500K away from Sit-N-Rotate! (Well, but I’ll probably build up a bit of a cushion before making the purchase.) On a less related note – I am cleaning up to the tune of 3 or 4 cheaters 20 dice a day so lots of money to be had there. I’ve only used a couple and am saving the majority in case there’s a new twist in the event or for a final push at the last minute.
My homer is 20 something and didn’t increase the payouts since level 10. Is it right? They stuck at 10?

Great info! But on the gold calendar you have mistyped the numbers. You have August 19 to the 30th right but then it changes to 21st, then September starts as Sept 1st.

Yep school just started for me and since I can’t defend while at school I had to sadly just add a bunch of houses which I told myself I’d never since it would make my Springfeild too cluttered.

So, if I upgrade my characters, does that “subtract” my totals for the overall prizes for reaching thresholds (Personal Prizes)? Seems if I upgrade my castle/characters, then I have to start all over again to reach the amounts for the Personal Prizes as the gold amount decreases by that much. Seems like it would be smarter to wait for the thresholds, get the personal prizes, then upgrade, right?
Your gold doesn’t deplete when you upgrade characters. Think of it as just a mark you have to be at.

I thought the level up on the characters had no practical impact on the game. So I guess this is good.
