This will be prompted to build AFTER you’ve completed the entire Level 44 main questline (Turbo Tappin’ will be up soon). And… FREE DONUTS at the end of this questline 🙂
Premium:
The Happy Sumo- 100 Donuts, Instant Build. Earns $90, 9xp/2hrs. (4×7)
Once unlocked you find….
Akira- Part of the More Business Owners Character Collection.
– Bonsai- 12 Donuts. This will NOT be in your store until AFTER you’ve completed Bonsai Vivant Pt. 3, as part of the main questline. You will also be given one for FREE during that part of the questline. Then you’ll be given the option to purchase more (as many as you want) for 12 Donuts each.
You’ll also be able the “harvest” as many free (yes I said FREE) Bonsai trees as you’d like if you purchase Akira. It’s part of his tasks. More details on this later 🙂

Level 44 stuff will kick in AFTER you’ve at least built the Wheel in Krustyland for Level 43.
And Premium stuff should kick in about Level 15 (have to start Is There an Al Coholic Here questline)

Hi Addicts. can you explain how to harvest the bonsai trees from Akira? I received a notification to say I could now do it, but he has no relevant tasks.
Akira has a three-part 12 hour job. It starts off as Plant Bonsai, once done it changes to Prune Bonsai, and then to Re-pot Bonsai. After the three 12 hour tasks are done, a Bonsai Tree will be placed in your inventory. Best thing is this can be repeated as many times as you like.
I have people in my friendslist which have +50.000 gold.
I even have some people which have +100.000 gold.
I have +- 25.000 gold at the moment.
How the hell can they achieve that amount of gold?
I play by the rules above: attack castles with a 4h defend time.
I even attack only 1 castle per unknown springfield, so if they intercept my attack, I only lose 1 attack, instead of 3 attacks. It takes more time to deploy my nerds, but chances of losing them are smaller.
And still I only have 25.000 gold, while a large number of my friends have +- 50.000 and like 10 of my friends have +100.000 gold.. insane.. how?
I am at about 29000 gold right now. My strategy has been to stick to my neighbors, one nerd per town. Some of the folks I talk to about the game on other forums stuck to the random towns and are at over double my amount. It all depends on which type of towns you attack and also whether they are defended. While 100K sound pretty high at this point in the event, I can’t rule it out. Don’t forget some folks may have bought premiums, sped through personal prizes, etc. You’re well on track for the event and as long as you’re having a good time, that’s what matters.
Stick to the randoms, 1 nerd per attack I’m at about 40,000 and I stopped religiously attacking about 3 days ago
I am one of those on your friendlist. 🙂 I’m currently just shy of 100,000. I always attack randoms, 1 to a building.
I don’t even look at the time or what building I’m hitting. As long as I see the ability to attack, I do.
I also usually deploy a full load of nerds 5 or 6 times a day so I am covering a lot of ground.
It’s a little time consuming, but that is what has worked for me. I usually hit the Cyclical Violence target daily.
Having done many things (and I’m at 70,000 plus in gold)–the best is 1 nerd, 1 building, 1 random town. So with 90 nerds you hit 90 towns. I’ve re-upped nerds 4-6 times per day. If you wait about 12 hours between last login for the night and first login in the morning you’ll average between 7-12000 elixir and 2-5000 gold. Since I hit all the prizes and got all the recycle and boxing walls I wanted I’ve switched to giving all my nerds to neighbors (5 to houses who have less than 25000 and 3 to 25-38 and 1 to people over 38). And the gold and elixir has slowed way way down, so randoms really are the way to go.
I’ve accepted a friend request from a neighbor whose town is utterly filled with premium items . Like 100s of each item. At first I thought they had just thrown a lot of money at it. What a waste, I thought. But then I noticed they had almost 100 Barbarian Castles. This should not be possible. Are people hacking the game to get access to whatever they want?
All games have players like this. Sad thing is the ability to get everything whenever you want really diminishes the fun of it. There are certainly places that help players get items through mods, we’re definitely not one of them.
Sucks all the fun out of the game, I’d rather skrimp and save for the next 6 months to purchase the sit n rotate rather than just have it handed to me. It almost seems pointless if your end game is play using hacks/mods just as bad as using an aim bot or lag on CoD.
I totally just sent Chirpy and Bart Jr to Hang out at Honest John’s Computers…weird…
EA added them to this town task for some reason. It’s the second time they’ve done this.

I got the force update on my lunch today, at around 1 in the afternoon PDT. I kept checking back here and I was confused why you guys had nothing to say about it lol
I am also an Android player being told I have to update at the play store but there is no update available. As a result I am locked out. I was part way through the level 44 questline having built the computer store and sent Database on 2 quests. Any advice?
Other than contacting EA, my advice is you can try to uninstall and reinstall to fix it. Origin saves your progress so I that’s not an issue.
do the bonsai give any XP/money bonus?
Unfortunately no. It adds to your tree-hugging rating on the conformometer.
Hey addicts, I already had the level 44 update but when I went to play just seconds ago I was forced to do an app store update. Did this happen to any one else? I am on android. It took me by surprise as a tend to only see those at the begun and end of events.
Saw another tapper report this. I haven’t seen any updates on my end.

Origin saves your progress so I that’s not an issue. The game will eventually require it no matter what so best thing to do is just update.

I have a question to your fantastic people at this page. I just started my game it said that an update is available do you want to update? I klicked yes and my game crached directly after half a second. then I started it up again and everything was fine, and I could play fine. then I checked the app store and it said that my game had just been updated, but I never saw anything download or install. I find that to be weird. any clues?
Oh and P.S. i’m not talking about this the level 44 update

I contacted EA about the game crashing prior to the level/up and they sent me 15 doughnuts…….that 25 freebies in a week. Good customer service.

I just tried signing in and got a screen saying I needed to update. So I go to the store and seems like there has been a lot of problems with it. So should I update? I also noticed that it now requires new permissions for Photos/Media/Files. Why would EA need access to those?
No clue about the permissions. If you don’t update, at some point your game will require you to do it. While some folks have had issues, it’s really not more than usual.
Got the update but says I’m still lvl 43. This is the first time that has happened in a long while (usually it automatically bumps me up) and I feel like I should be well beyond that :\ Does anyone know how much experience is required for lvl 44? Mine is showing 293791/335840.
Your XP amount sounds right. In my B game, I was in the same boat and had to level up through 43 to get the new stuff. The only time it is automatic is if you’ve previously filled up the XP bar and gotten the chance for free donuts.
Not a big fan of this event, but digging the new level so far! I love any mission that lets me send the whole town to one place. I got like 50 thumbs jetting out of Honest Johns. Lol
you’re sure it’s Akira and not Database that does the Bonsai?
They both do Bonsai. Database’s 36hr questline for it will allow you to purchase it afterwards (and give you 1 for free as well) but then it’s Akira’s that give you free bonsai after the initial questline.
Is the madam chow size increase a glitch or is it here to stay? The new size messed up my restaurant street horribly. Do you have any idea if they are going to revert to the previous size or not? I cant stand the way that area in my town looks now, but i dont want to rearrange, only for them to revert back to the original size.
It’s not a glitch. For unknown reasons EA changed the size. With the amount of tappers upset over the change, it could go back but only time will tell. To date, EA hasn’t readjusted the helter shelter.
Also pro tip, which I don’t think you mentioned: you get 1000 elixir for 8000 gold when all gold prizes have been awarded. But then then the counter resets to 0. So if you’re at 7800 gold you really don’t want to leave the game for 12 hours and pick up say 2000 gold in one hit because you will waste most of it on your next elixir round (only the first 200 will be used).
Re Clash of Clans – finally upgraded Lisa’s castle to lvl 20 and got my first wall section yesterday for 10,500. Just thought I’d let you know that the next wall is now 11,500!! I assume they will continue to increase by 1000 after that. I don’t think you put this information on your site.
The castle level-up post was updated when the Level 21 price went down from 105,000 to 10,500. Thanks for making sure though.
About once every five days I am able to attack another town. When I can I send all my nerds to attack in one town as I likely will get thrown out if I try another. It has been four days since I was last able to attack anyone, or visit a friend. This update is so frustrating as I feel I can’t play like everyone else since I KEEP GETTING THROWN OUT EVERY TIME I CLICK THE VISIT A FRIEND ICON! Not getting FP points, or donuts, or doughnuts or even satisfaction from playing….
Sorry, am I whining again?
Complain away. I would be completely frustrated too. Hopefully EA can fix this for you soon and make sure to ask for things you missed because of the issue.

Both would be very cool. The only reason I’m not sure if we’ll ever see Phila Hartman’s characters was the retirement of them. We can all hope for them though.

1 nerd per building. Random towns pay off better if your neighbors aren’t regular visitors.
I’m not sure what’s going on but it seems to me ever since the last update it’s become much harder to earn elixir/gold. I used to get a minimum of 3-5k now it’s just a few hundred (I never pay atten to the gold amount) and this is using the same ole one nerd per building in random towns. Usually I hold off for castles as well. I’m fairly sure this isn’t all in my imagination! lol They did specifically tell us to use max nerds and I’ve tried this too but honestly I haven’t noticed a difference.
I’ve stuck to the same strategy of one per building and have been pretty constant throughout the event so far. Maybe the randoms are defending at different amounts? I do know people claim higher amounts if you hit buildings during periods most folks are sleeping.

Seems the numbers have returned more to the “norm” I was used to. Maybe it was due to the weekend and people were clicking in more often!? Including myself? lol
I’m level 44 and my FP level says max, but I’m not earning towards Marge tether ball yet. Help!
If you’ve earned all the 10 previous prizes and aren’t receiving FP towards the new ones, the only fix I can think of is to contact EA to have them resolve it.

Any idea if this update (or something before it) fixed the glitch that makes you lose shields when you visit Krustyland? I have a couple of characters who have been on a veeeery long visit, and I would like to retrieve them. Part of me doesn’t care about losing the shields since I am sick of the CoC stuff, but I don’t want to screw over my neighbors who know that I let my non-castle buildings burn to the ground.
We’ve seen less comments about the shields disappearing so I’d like to say it’s resolved. Only true way is to test it in your town though.
Ugh. Just had my husband check since he regularly clears shields and only had one in his town. He went to KL, and when he returned to SF the shield had disappeared. At least for his SF the glitch is still there.
I know EA was supposed to be working on it. Must be a hard glitch to isolate.
I opened up my game last night and had shields all over my house farm. I accidentally clicked the KL bus while clearing other houses and went to KL. When I came back, all the shields had gone. Glitch definitely not fixed. Thankfully I have already completed all the quests and levelled up all my castles to 20, so it doesn’t bother me too much, but I feel sorry for the neighbors who placed all those shields as I presume they will get no reward.
I suspect they didn’t. This is certainly one of the most frustrating glitches. Guess you know to clear all before any KL shenanigans.
No, the update did not fix this problem at least on my idevices (pod, pad, phone). My real life friends aren’t even at 20k gold yet and are getting discouraged, even though there is still plenty of time. Luckily I can give them a call and I have cut back my play time to 5-10 pm. It would have been better if I could let them attack a specific section of my town and l’d leave it alone, but EA programmers can’t seem to fix this bug.

Long time dedicated mostly freemium player (I will purchase premium items etc. if I see a good deal and I have a gift card or whatnot)… IMO this update and clash event are a snoozefest! Probably and most likely because of the Family Guys latest event… TinyCo. Has set a high bar (almost too high… Cuz how can they follow Comic-Con?). Take note EA… TinyCo. Is on thier game. Anyone else feel this way or am I just being too critical? Love to hear others opinions if they play simpsons and guy.
Each game has their highs n lows. Stonecutters and Halloween I loved. Kingdom I hated.
Agree with you on Those… I’m hoping for a cool Holiday event… Be it Christmas, New Year or whathaveyou. I get two weeks off in December (cough… EA… COUGH!) excuse me 😉
