Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time to play Spider Pig! Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread! (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way! You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. The Every. Simpsons. Ever. Marathon is over, but Block Parties are still going on, have you been watching the old episodes? Update city this week in TSTO! First we had the new decorations added to Clash of Clones and then….EA Droped Level 44 on us! What do YOU think of the new updates? Are you enjoying Level 44? Happy they brought in Database? How about Akira? MLB Sunday Night Game of the week is the Giants vs. Tigers, will YOU be watching? OR…will your eyes be back on Football?! Today’s Sunday Night Football game features the Broncs vs. Colts….who are you pulling for tonight?

Once we get all the Clash of Clones prizes, is there any value in the gold we get after that? I know we can still use it for non-functional character upgrades, but can we do anything that matters with it?
The gold works like previous event currencies. Collect to get the prizes and after that, it earns elixir for decorations. I don’t think EA expected a lot of players to be as far ahead as they are. I’m abut 2K from the 9th prize.
Football? There is no football yet. This is still pre-season. Yeah, just pre-season. No way both of my teams would suck THAT badly during the regular season. Just a warm up game with the back ups, that is all.
lol….I’m assuming the Patriots are one of those teams…who’s the other?
Ravens. New England and Baltimore in every sport.

Our house had the marathon on thru the whole event. 2 of my 3 kids play TSTO and were seeing allot of the episodes for the first time. When they saw stuff from the game they got really excited, now they’re Simpson ‘experts’.
Does anyone know why the game on my transformer tablet is 350MB, and on my S4 it’s 900MB? That’s almost 3 times the size, for what?
I’ve seen other folks say the game was bigger on one device than the other. I honestly don’t know. I’d think it should be the same but I’m not a tech guy. You could float the question to EA.
I love my Two-nicorn! Can’t wait for the next update for Clash of Clones. Possibly Princess Kashmir will be next. Loving level 44. I’m more excited to see Akira than Database, but they are both awesome. I get excited with each update. I love this game. I’m hoping for this Halloween we can get Hugo Simpson. I want him more than any character at the moment.
I just won the 99 to1 odds on Springfield downs twice now I have more enough to get honest johns computers!

P.S. I must commend FXX on that FABULOUS marathon. My TVs were there every waking hour and many sleeping ones. Anyone know what the ratings were for the event?

Every time I log on it starts me at the tutorial again and I’m level 41. Idk what happened but what should I do? This just started happening recently
Once you get to the point in the game where it lets you visit friends, you can log in with your origin account and it should all be fixed.

Has anyone else noticed that The price for Vulari’s went down? I was working up my cash to get Vulgari’s, and the price was $600k. I decided to build the unemployment building first. When I went back to buy Vulgari’s, the price had dropped to $400k.
Also- do you think that any of the clash of cloned decorations will earn any money after the event is over?
Prices go down when we get new levels. As for the decorations, my guess is the castles, treasure chest and elixir mixer will all convert to cash earning once the event is over.
Do you think we will be rewarded somehow for attaining a certain level of upgrade for Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa in clash of clones? Or is it all just a joke on us?
I don’t think it’s a joke on us but I don’t think it’s going to be anything big. I’m curious how EA intends to show how far we got our characters to. Beyond that, it’s just part of the event. If EA is joking on anyone, it’s the game this was based on.

Today I won the last of the personal prizes in the Clash of Clones event… let’s see, it’s September 7th and I believe the event ends on October 7th. Just a month away. Well, there still Elixir to collect for some of the items in the in-game store sold for Elixir. Also, did I read correctly elsewhere on this site that by continuing to upgrade the castles, you’re eventually awarded with castle walls? Mine are at level 16 currently, I suppose I will continue to upgrade them with Elixir as well.
After level 20, each level gets you a wall.

Loved the new content we got this week. It was cool seeing how I finished CoC event REALLY fast…I think 8 days but might of been 9…I CAN’T WAIT TIL THE HALLOWEEN update…I seriously want to see a sideshow bob and the terwilliger family (snap snap) invade Springfield. Here’s to the next chapter…pipe welding course at night…going to suck but good in the long run.
I’ve missed out on a lot of the FXX episodes, mainly because if the TV is on, we’ve got Mickey Mouse, Thomas, or Dinosaur Train playing. By the time my kids (ages 3 and 2) are in bed, I’ve forgotten about what I want to watch. And, let’s be honest, I’m tapping too much to focus on the TV anyway. I’ve missed tons of the newer seasons, so it’s nice to know I’ll be able to catch up on them easily.
One show we never miss in our house, though, is Doctor Who. I’m totally excited about the new season being underway. Any other Whovians here?
Bunny is one. I dig the show and watch with my Whovian mother. My little ones watch all the same things. My son’s mom told me the other night she thinks she’s watched Toy Stpry 2 for 2 weeks straight cuz bubs loves Woody.
LOL! Yah, pretty much have Finding Nemo and Cars memorized. But my son has fallen in love with Daleks and Cybermen, so he wants to watch the “Who Doc” a lot now. Proud mama, right here. 😀
Much worse movies to have memorized. That’s awesome he digs Dr. Who. Mine are all trained to love Star Wars.
Umm… Yeah. Well, I’m not here to plug or self-promote, but I do a long running show about Doctor Who. We recorded an episode today reviewing last night’s DW story, ‘Robot of Sherwood’ and I spoke of how well the timing of that story worked with the TSTO’s ‘Clash of Clones’ event. It’s all coincidental of course, but fun nonetheless.

Oh, I’m married to a HUGE Star Wars fan. Our kids will be hooked on Star Wars, no doubt. Excited (and nervous) to see what next year brings to the series. We’re proper geeks in our home. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, we love it all. 🙂

My younger brother, who is 15, enjoys watching The Simpsons as much as I do… it’s kinda funny when we’re watching reruns and he realizes the episode he just watched is older than he is!

Does anyone have a theory as to why one of my favorite buildings (Helter Shelter) and Madam Chow’s changed size during this new update? Helter Shelter, I assumed was an old garage converted into a shelter, so it would be at least as tall as the new Honest John’s Computers building. But now it’s shrunk and silly looking. Do you think this is an attempt to make the buildings more in perspective with one another? My OCD side is not handling this well. 🙂 Thanks
My theory is EA is messing with us one building at a time lol. It really makes no sense to me.
Ahh Sunday, last day of relaxation before a LONG work week! Should be doing laundry but, decided to check TSTO instead lol. My phone broke earlier this week so I’ve been without the Simpsons all week; luckily being able to check addicts out kept me up to date. 🙂 long way to go before I can Start level 44 quests because I bought a bunch of land when the COC update hit because I had saved up money with nothing to spend it on. But its something to work on. My little one just started his jars of fruits and veggies this week too. Ugh kids grow too fast. He’s my one and only so I hate to see him grow up, but love to see that he’s on track and becoming such a smart baby. Checked out the new TMNT movie, and it wasn’t as great as I expected *sigh*
Saw TMNT last week. It was entertaining but not the best. I definitely recommend guardians of the galaxy if you haven’t seen it yet. The little ones grow up way too fast. I remember when all of mine were tiny. Well, one still is but anywho… have a great week.
Haven’t seen it but heard good things. TMNT was/is one of my favorite shows and I love the old movies from the 90’s no matter how cheezy. Getting ready to watch Are You Here.. Hope its funny. Nothing like a good laugh before bed! You have a good week as well Wookiee!
My oldest just turned three and it seems like the days of making him pureed plums just happened yesterday. He’s growing into such a big boy. (BTW, homemade pureed plums are yummy, even for grown ups.) 😀
I’m just now level 43, so I’m in the same boat getting money together for the other levels. I’ve got lots of land to buy. I just started playing in June and my town’s OK, but I’ve been thinking of taking the nuclear option after CoC ends and making my town more what I want. Also after buying up some more land, of course. It’s just a little too crowded for me and with everything hitting me all at once, it’s becoming a bit jumbled and messy.
My baby just turned 5 months old lol and it seems like that flew by so quickly 🙁 I have nuked my town 3 times ssince the event started, so it’s a work in progress can’t find something I LOVE yet lol.
I’m really enjoying the new updates & items. Bought the Tunicorn on sight (jus’ luv the way he spews) but I’m waiting for a “Should I buy the” for the Freak Tents.
We’ll have a bunch of Should I Buys very soon. The rainbow spew is pretty hilarious.
I’m waiting as well. The Freak Tents are kind of pricey and to my understanding don’t do anything or payout out anything or give any bonus percentages… so I may pass on that one. That said, I did get the Two-nicorn too even though it doesn’t payout anything or give any bonus percentages, at least it does something. Shouldn’t it be a called a Bicorn though?
Nope. It’s called that based on the appearance in The Simpsons.

My Dvr is chuck full of Simpsons and it’s so fun to watch with my kids and tell them… “I have that” lol
My daughter and I watch and when we see a TSTO item, it’s all ooh ooh… look at that.
I started playing during the stonecutters event and when I watched that episode with my son and we were talking about the stone of triumph he was giddy that he knew more about it than me lol
I bet… the youngins love knowing more about something than us. I always remind my daughter I’ve probably forgotten more than she knows lol.
