The Clash of Clones Event has arrived. With all of the new Clash of Clones Premium Items that are Limited Time ,it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that Limited Time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Satan’s Anvil to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this MASSIVE decoration to YOUR Springfield!
Decoration: Satan’s Anvil
Donut Price: 225 donuts
Bonus: None
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +2,000
Pros:
-Fits in with the Medieval decorations
-Old item from Stonecutters, so if you didn’t get it then you can pick it up now.
-From a Simpsons Episode, WDTCF here
Cons:
-INSANELY expensive
-When it was originally released it was a prize for Stonecutters so it was free.
– No bonus % associated with it
-Improves vanity, the easiest of the Conform-O-Meter categories to max out
-Just sits there, no one uses it. And it’s HUGE.
Final Thought:
Personally, the first thing that comes to my mind when saying Should I Spend Donuts on Satan’s Anvil is…NO! Not just no, HECK NO. The donut price for what you get is INSANE. Totally not worth the donuts in this case.
I have it in my Springfield, I earned it during Stonecutters, and it just sits in my inventory. It’s so big I don’t want to take up valuable land space with something that just sits there. Save your donuts for something more worthwhile…
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do, and this is one I wouldn’t pull the trigger on. Whatever you decide just remember, this is a Limited-time item…so if you’re thinking about it make sure you make your decision prior to the Clash of Clones Event leaving our games October 7th!

I wish they would bring back the sacred scrolls from the Stonecutters event. I crashed my springfield just after that event and and to reinstall the game. Problem was I wasn’t an Oracle/EA member back then and there was no way to be able to retrieve my Springfield. I still have more stonecutters to get and EA keeps sidestepping these items.
Maybe this is a sign that they might bring more back.. one can only hope
Now that this is 225 with a 100 donut rebate, what are everyone’s thoughts? I saw the main complaints during Stonecutters was we had no desert; now that we have the Old West, did anyone incorporate this over there?
To me it’s still too expensive. No bonus percentage clinches it.

It looks like there is a 5% bonus applied to it now
… Which makes me wonder if the 5% also applies to people who already have the earlier version gathering dust in storage… Alyssa?

It makes me feel better to see it now costs donuts. I spent donuts at the very end of Stonecutters to get this, mostly because it was my first complete event and I wanted the final prize. I had mine next to my church for awhile. It was cool to see the black birds on Satan’s Anvil and the white dove on the church.
I have to agree with Alissa here. Don’t spend 225 donuts on it! I also have it already as I won it in the Stonecutter’s event. I remember even then, when I got it without spending any donuts on it, being a bit disappointed with it that it didn’t really do anything. It has a couple black crows (or similar type of bird) which hangs out on it and they fly around it from time to time as the animation for the decoration, but other than that, it doesn’t do anything.
I put mine right in front of the Stair case to nowhere. Now it looks like those people are dropping right into hell. (Hmmm maybe I should go see one of them Marvin Monroe type peoples….)

Which buildings are actually rerelease with this event because if you have the item it doesn’t show up in your store and now I know that people can buy the anvil it makes it a little less special!, same happened with the freak show tent (eww) and fort sensible.
But if you got it during Stonecutters, you got it free. Now they have to pay…and a LOT. So to me, it is still special. My take anyway. 😉
I got Satan’s Anvil literally an hour or so before the Stonecutters event ended. I’m glad I got it but it does just kinda sit there in my town, I’d never pay 225 donuts for it.
I already got it from the stonecutters event, but had I not I would have bought it, since 1. I’m addicted to the game and buy everything. 2. It’s desert themed and I like it those things and want as much desert themed stuff as possible, preferably a desert expansion like Krustyland. And finally I’m hoping to get all the items ever released since I only started playing last christmas and have gotten everything from that point untill now.

But if you have to the donuts to spend, and you really want it you should buy. It does just sit there but it nicely fits into my forest and I love it. It’s a unique decoration, and it can really make your Springfield look AWESOME. And Halloween it right around the corner, for those people that make seasonal designs to their towns this would a great decoration to have.
I have it in my town and I love it but there is no way I would spend donuts on it… However, I would buy it before I would buy the Freak Show tent. That tent is just completely lacking purpose for me…
I concur. That tent is utterly useless and aesthetically disgusting… At least the Anvil looks cool.
It looks nice next to the Volcano Lair (if you have it) but there’s no way I’d pay the donuts for it after it was free in Stonecutters! What a con!
Thinking ahead slightly – what week does Halloween usually start? I just missed it last year.
Last year it was on October 2nd…BUT this year I think we’ll be delayed a week so I don’t think it’ll hit till the 8th. Which of course will throw me off because I’m traveling that day lol

To me the Simpsons is Halloween. Hard to think of one with out the other. Hopefully it’s a great event! (it’s always been the best one in the past)
I agree on all points. I got it from the Stonecutters event. I wouldn’t spend donuts on it. I like the way it looks in my town but it’s at the top of the list to go into inventory when I need some space.

I totally agree. I won Satan’s Anvil in the Stonecutters event and it’s totally useless. It just sits there. I have put it in my forest area but that was the best i could do with it. Spare your donuts is also my advice.
