Level 44 has arrived in Springfield! And with it comes the Bonsai tree, an all new premium decoration for your Springfield! Now I know you may be trying to decide if this little plant is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Bonsai tree to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding a little tranquility to YOUR Springfield!

Pros:
-Reasonably priced
-Neat and different little decoration for your Springfield.
Cons:
-No bonus % awarded for purchasing
-If you have a little patience you can unlock for free by sending Akira on the 3 12-hr tasks (Plant Bonsai, Prune Bonsai, Repot Bonsai)
Final Thought:
Personally, this one is a toss up. I think t’s a great decoration, in fact I have 4 outside my Happy Sumo. However, because I have Akira purchased I can’t justify buying them. I’d much rather “harvest” them from Akira’s 3 12-hr tasks, then spend 12 donuts to buy them. (especially since there’s no bonus %). However, if you don’t have Akira and you like the look of these little trees then go for it…just remember they won’t benefit you like other premium items would.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I passed on spending donuts on these guys! However, this is NOT a Limited-Time Item so take your time with your thought process. They’ll still be there in a few weeks. So if you’re on the fence or worried about saving up your donuts relax..there’s no rush to get them.

Why don’t I have the option to buy Akira or the bonsai trees? Been on level 44 for a lil bit now but can not see these anywhere. Is there a certain task I have to complete before either of these items are unlocked?
Are you at Level 44 in game play or just XP? Did you build the Wheel in Krustyland for Level 43?

Akira cost 100 donuts and the Bonsai tree cost 12 donuts per tree.
For 100 donuts, 8 trees can be brought with 4 donuts left over.
Or have Akira do a day and a half worth of tasks per tree. 8 trees via three 12 hrs quests per tree would take a minimum of 12 days(288 total hours). Bonus: cash and XP will be received at the end of each task.

I have a fenced in area behind Akira’s restaurant for all of his bonsai trees. After sushi you can browse the bonsai nursery. ( I’m a dork )

since my most common quest lengths to send my characters on would be an 8, 12, or 24…. having someone that can turn 12 hrs (3x) into a bonsai is awesome… so no, i won’t buy any bonsai from the store

This one’s a toss up? Not even close. Why spend sparklies on what you can get for free? The Akira character needs tasks every day anyway, just use him to make more.
Because 100 donuts for Akira costs more than 12 donuts for a Bonsai. So if you don’t have 100 donuts but you want a Bonsai than it’s worth it…even if you want 2 or 3 bonsai. Hence the toss up 🙂

I believe that at 12 donuts without a bonus multiplier they’re not worth buying.
My advice is don’t buy them. Give your yummy donuts on Akira. He has a fun storyline and you can as much Bonsai trees as you want!
