Level 45 has arrived in Springfield! And along with Üter & the Hungry Hun comes another premium decoration…the BBQ Pig! Kind of small in comparison to the fanfare of Üter, but a brand new premium decoration nonetheless. Now I’m sure you’re trying to decide if this whole hog (mmmm BBQ Pork…) is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the BBQ Pig to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this delicious hunk of pork to YOUR Springfield! (can you tell I wrote this before my lunch break?)
Decoration: The BBQ Pig
Donut Price: 60 donuts
Dimensions: 2×1
Bonus %: 2.50% Bonus to all cash and XP
Conform-O-Meter: Gluttony +10
Unique?: No, you can buy as many as you’d like.
Pros:
-Has fun animation when tapped (the coals below him “heat up” and he spins around the fire)
-Has a nice premium bonus awarded with it
-Adds 10 points to Gluttony…with out having to build more Krusty Burgers!
Cons:
-Pricey for a premium decoration
-Small in size, could be hard to find in your town.
-Could be tough, in a design sense, to find somewhere to fit it into your Springfield.
Final Thought:
Personally, this one is a pass for now. The bonus % is nice, but for me, at least for right now, it seems out of place in my town. So, I’ll be passing on it. I’m usually a big fan of items with high bonus % awarded, but with Halloween looming on the horizon…and Christmas to follow shortly after…this is one I’m holding off on.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’m holding off on this one! Remember, this is NOT a Limited-Time Item so take your time with your thought process. It will still be there in a few weeks. So if you’re on the fence or worried about saving up your donuts relax..there’s no rush to get it.

I will add one additional note about the BBQ pig. It provides the highest bonus percentage relative to the space it occupies. As a result as a KEM farmer, I am buying large numbers of them to have a high bonus percentage with lots of space for the rest of my decoration. I believe each purchasable land tile give space to hold 60 of them giving a 150% bonus in a very small space.
That said with the recent innovation of the vault, it is a great deal when it comes with the donuts back. Unfortunately for me I am at a place where I want to buy another set of them but it is not available at standard or donut back price. Hopefully it will be back next week for me.
Does anyone know if the Conform-O-Meter changed recently? The info in 5 he stir currently shows 2.50 % bonus but no increase for Gluttony…

I put the BBQ Pig in my Castle Entertainment area on the “patio” with tables and chairs! I am inviting whoever would like to come to my BBQ or Luau! In Hawaiian, it is a Kaluha Pig buried in an underground oven, an Imu, steamed with Hot rocks and Leaves!! Aloha…stepingstair Come on over and meet the new neighbor!! I love that little BBQ Piggy!! He is a nice addition to my Castle and am glad to have spent the Donuts for Him or (Her) ! Aloha and Mahalo for the area to share Ideas and also to meet new neighbors with their ideas!! 🙂

I think it would look great around the castle areas, I can picture it in the garrisons area with bomb fires and all their tents! I have not purchased it yet… I still believe they’re trying to make me spend all my donuts before Holloween!

I don’t know where to post this question but I need HELP!! I think my town has been hi-jacked!!
Since last night when I go into my game, I get someone else’s town! I have my friends list, but the other persons points and their town set-up. I can play in their town also.
It said that I wasn’t signed out of my other device, but I only play on my ipod. It finally switched over to my town again during the night and I thought I was alright. But it happened again this afternoon and it finally switched back. All my points look ok & I’m going to check to see if I still have $ on my iTunes. I’m going to try to change my password. Contact EA right away about it. My advice is to not do anything in the new town either.
Wookiee – how do I contact EA? Never have had to do this before. I realized it wasn’t my town after a few taps and I’ve left it alone since. My daughter looks at her iphone and to her my town looks the same. So very strange!! Thanks for the advice. Gailyn aka gpikky

That’s good news your neighbors see your town right as rain. It is definitely strange. I’ve heard of it happening once to someone but not continuously. I sincerely hope EA fixes it fast for you.

Sorry so long to send THANKS your way!! I have contacted EA & They say they are working on it, but still having the same troubles. I’ve deleted the game from my IPod for now in hopes of the person NOT being able to get into my game. Hopefully I don’t loose all of my Neighboreenos! Hopefully EA will work ASAP! I have had this happen a few times but it’s been a long time… I thought I figured out what triggered it but it’s been so long I can’t remember now. It’s was very disconcerting tapping around then realizing it wasn’t my town and wondering if someone was in mine. At least I knew they couldn’t take my stuff or money lol I think I just shut everything down and logged out of origin and back in. All was always well in my town!
I’m with OSebhlen, had to buy because I love the episode (I mean, c’mon, Paul McCartney is in it, and there’s that great joke/set up w/Burns & Smithers about when pigs fly.). I didn’t know until after about the animation, which I think is cool (I seem to recall there’s even sound FX). I had a spot for it in the Simpson’s backyard where it fits perfectly. I do agree w/the article though, it’s a bit pricey.
