Here we are…..SEASON 26 PREMIERE NIGHT!!! And just how are my favorite addicted Tappers doing on this beautiful September night? Have a great weekend? Ready for all new Simpsons tonight??
Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? Nope it’s not time to boogie woogie oogie all night long (although if you do take photos for us)! Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. Finally, after 4 lonnnggg months The Simpsons are back!! What will happen in tonight’s episode? Who will die? How will our episode tie-in items play into the episode? AND a little bonus Simpsons right after with the Family Guy/Simpsons crossover event! No baseball tonight, as the playoffs are set. Did you team make it? Sunday Night Football features the Saints vs. the Cowboys….will you be watching?
So chat about the Simpsons…and for this one night only Family Guy too….MLB, NFL, TSTO Updates, Halloween Speculation or anything else you can think of!

I have a major problem! My account says I’m on level 45 but when I tap the screen to go to my town, it has me at the very beginning with Homer blowing up Springfield! I’m totally freaking out because I’ve put my heart and soul into my town since January. Please someone help because I can’t afford starting back at the very beginning! Help!
Try some basic troubleshooting. Also try to log out, then sign back in.
Julie, thank you for your kind words. I’ve changed my flight home and arrive back Monday at 1:30 pm. My hubby will pick me up and home, turn around Tuesday morning and drive 7 hours to be with my brother/sister-in-law. Rough day today, can’t think, can’t stop crying and feel helpless being here. Dearest Val, how I feel for you my dear. Without pressing you for details, please remember that those sleeping in death, are no longer affected by what ailed them in life. I do hope you find some solace in those words, dear lady. I have also popped on my favourite poem…not sure if it will help you now, but I have found that it does eventually bring a modicum of ease from the grief. I just played. I haven’t been able to play in 9 hours. Been busy. I thought I would log into my game and everything would be tapped. A few neighbors had stopped by but almost all houses and buildings remained untouched, still had dollar signs. Those that did visit only did 1or 2 things as if they weren’t enough to tap on. When I went to KL everything had been tapped. What could be the problem? How often are we supposed to clear out the dollar signs to “reset”?
Hi Rosebud…I noticed when I went into your town there is not always enough to tap on, but just put it down to your diligent neighbours. Lol When I go into my town first thing in the morning, I tap on everything…that is…all the handshakes, and any buildings not with shields. Also because of the different time zones, I have tried to work out when people from the DARK side of the planet will visit me(heh heh) and I also try to tap my buildings apart from those times so that they will be available when you all come by…sometimes I am not always successful…but I have found that all my buildings now get handshakes at least once a day by doing this. Hope this helps you decide dear…it’s only another couple of days and hopefully we’ll be back to normal tapping….unless EA has some new gremlins in store for us!

To all neighbours of NONNAJAY & LOFTYJNR.
I am now NOT sending in nerds to my neighbours unless they are below the 38,000 coin mark. Please do not send me your nerds either…send em off to the invaders to wreck havoc there for the next few days. Although you can still send them to Loftyjnr as there are heaps of houses I let burn in there to enable neighbours to earn max points.
If any of you higher scoring neighbours still want nerds to call by, please give me a holler on here and I will send em back to your town.
I want to concentrate on KL for the next few days so will clear any shields each night so that points are still awarded to the attacking nerds before I go into KL.

Wendell is hanging in there. It is hard to watch him going down the hall to the bathroom. He hangs on everything. Not sure why. He just looks so weak.
I also have had a problem getting the hospital in three of my towns. Afraid to take it to EA, don’t want more problems then what we have been having. Lol. Hoping they can add a quest that will unlock the hospital. Thinking that they may do that because so many people seem to be having the same problem.
Looking forward to the Halloween event, without any glitches.

Hi Mary Jo, my sincerest apologies for being so tardy with news this end. We finally have power fully restored. Went into town earlier and the generators have all been removed so that was good to see. It has been a pain in the bum having to deal with the load shedding, but that’s done now so hopefully I can get back to normal soon. I have no idea why, but this last round of doctor visits has really taken it out of me. I feel really tired…I think probably because I have been on tenterhooks for so long worrying about when the ops would be, that now I have an idea, I maybe relaxed a little too much and the adrenalin levels have dropped. Lol
While he was in Townsville with his dad, Jamie managed to get up to Innisfail to see his mum and meet his new little sister, so I will send you that glorious photo when I can…it is so beautiful. While we were in Mackay, my daughter took Jamie clothes shopping as his latest growth spurt has him way too long for his clothes now…he hasn’t grown out..just up! Lol it is nice to see him back in clothes that fit and aren’t too short for him now.
It has become extremely hot here now so I am guessing we are in for a savage summer with lots more storms…just hope the power isn’t cut like this past week and a bit. I have decided to leave my little genny set up on the back landing. It will run the refrigerator, deep freezer, and a light, and possibly the microwave if fridge and freezer aren’t on a boost cycle at the time. If I leave it set up, I won’t need it…but if I carry it back down stairs, we will need it within hours! Lol
Well dear friend, I shall away for now and go sort out dinner for the kid and myself.

Good call. I too have tried to only send nerds…. (I did say try) but in the zeal of game and a nerd/elixir nirvana, I tend to forget which neighbors need the points and those who don’t.
I don’t need the gold. So save your nerds, although I still enjoy finding those red cheaters that occasional come while defending your blds. 🙂

Hey Dee, I go in and do all those under the necessary limit for coins, then I go back and do the handshakes…sssooooo time consuming and really takes the enjoyment out of the game at present so I am looking forward to the end of it. Lol. Got heaps of the d20’s saved up, so looking forward to an explosive end to the event. Lol

Hello Julie, I’ve been getting to my towns at odd times since leaving on my trip Wednesday. I’ll be heading home sooner rather than later as my nephew ( brothers son ) passed away at 1:11 am ( October 4 ) He was only 36. So if any of my neighbors are reading this, please bear with me as I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to clear handshakes and visit. I’ll aim for clearing handshakes first and visits will be limited. I’m hoping to get a flight out for home in the next 24-48 hours. Once I’m home I’ll be back on the road to be with my brother and family. Thanks everyone for your understanding…..

Thank you Juan. I have mothballed Hibberts as Alissa suggested so now we’ll see if the hospital tasks come up. I even mothballed his nephew to make life easier…but now I am building Vulgari’s so will have his wife! Aarrrggghhhhhh….life wasn’t meant to be this difficult was it? Lol.
I am working on getting the tooth chipper in KL now, then I’ll really concentrate on getting stuff in there. Not being American, Halloween doesn’t hold any special significance for me, so apart from some ‘gnarly’ decorations, I probably won’t go too much into it, and just save my energies and $’s for KL.
Are you ready for another vacation yet? Lol. It doesn’t take long back at work for our holidays to sink back into memory, does it? Wonder what permanent retirement will be like? I just hope by that time I am living near a beach! I could quite happily go back to that lifestyle! My dad was a lighthouse keeper on an island when I was small, and we moved from there to a beach on the mainland, but I went into the country when I went nursing and ended up married to a man who disliked the sea…so it would be wonderful to go back to it.
Anyway…here I go chatting away again! Mrs Have-a-Chat! Lol

Howdy all. I’m attempting to figure out something & I don’t see it specifically addressed elsewhere on this awesome site…
When a premium item says it adds “x% bonus $ & xp to all jobs”, what specifically does that mean? Does it only apply to people I assign to things, or to tasks my Springfield has randomly assigned to me. Are buildings included here?
Also, the % noted in the conform-o-meter, what does that apply to?

So it adds a bonus to EVERYTHING you do in Springfield. Same with the conform o meter bonus. Every job, every rent collected….they’ll all get hit with a bonus increase based on those two things. Doesn’t matter who’s doing the task or what building it is. It’ll increase the payout for everything by however much your bonus % is.
