Update: Some of you have been commenting about a message from TSTO Today about Halloween…this popped up on my iOS device just a little bit ago. Could Halloween be coming tomorrow?! One thing’s for sure….Halloween IS coming! 🙂
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well…the end is near! Tomorrow (October 7th) Clash of Clones will officially end. For some of you this might be a sigh of relief, for others you might be scrambling to get your last bit of gold and elixir. As of right now, we see no signs of this event being extended. In the past, if an event was going to be extended, EA would make an announcement several days before it was initially scheduled to end. As of now, no announcement & no changes to the files. So I think it’s a safe bet to assume Clash of Clones will be gone tomorrow. (and hopefully a new event in it’s place!)
So beyond the items what else do you need to know for the end of the Clash of Clones Event? Let’s take a look at some of the steps you should know to finish out the event and get ready for some kind of update.
Based on previous events this is what we can expect to happen tomorrow:
-The set end time for the event is 8:00 GMT (4am EDT). However, based on past events, the update won’t end at that point. It will take the update to remove it from your game. So you should still be able to play your game for some time tomorrow morning.
-Some kind of update will hit our games tomorrow. This will be an App Store (or Google Play Store) update, where you will need to actually go in and update your game.
–Usually, and again I say this because it’s based on what’s happened in the past, the update will hit sometime between 12PM EDT and 2PM EDT.
-The update may contain a new Event (like Halloween) or it could just be an update to remove Clash of Clones with nothing new in the game (like what happened after Easter). Right now we’re not seeing anything in the files to indicate anything. So we’re all flying blind & at the mercy of EA.
As always if we see anything in the files…we’ll let you know. Usually if something is going to appear in the files before the update hits it’s a 2-4 hr window before it actually hits.
What you can do to get ready if you’re on Level 45:
-Do not send your characters on 24hr tasks. Whatever task you send them on tonight into tomorrow morning make sure they’ll be free after 10AM EST (just to be on the safe side).
-Ignore all of the random quests the game will try to send you on between today and tomorrow, unless they’re short quests. Just because they’re telling you to Send Bart and Milhouse for a 24hr Sleepover doesn’t mean you have to. So hold off on those quests until you know what’s going to happen tomorrow. (you’ll know it’s a random quest because there won’t be dialog popup with the task request)
-Check your App Store tomorrow, again this will be an App Store update. So you will need to download and update TSTO for it to work.
Finishing Out Clash of Clones:
-If you haven’t yet cleared all of the prizes…keep trying. You still have time. Also, just because an update is here doesn’t mean you have to update your game. Because this will be an App Store update, if you haven’t yet cleared your prizes you don’t have to update your game. You can keep playing in Clash of Clones and earn more Gold and Elixir (usually 2-3 days after the update hits, although in the recent past they’ve forced Tappers to update hours after the update hit the App Store). Just keep in mind if your neighbors have updated it makes it that much more difficult to earn Gold and Elixir, since you won’t be able to tap their buildings.
-If you’ve finished the event…STILL HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS! Visit neighbors and leave buildings to be destroyed in your town. This is the best way to ensure your neighbors can earn all that they can before time runs out!
-Make sure you purchase all of those limited-time items before they’re gone, if you want them. They won’t be here late tomorrow for you to make a decision on. If you’ve already purchased the Clash of Clones items, they’re yours forever and will remain in your Springfield (or storage) unless you sell them or delete your game (via origin ID…not uninstalling from your phone). This also applies to items won. If you’ve won them, they’re yours.
So just what are the limited time Clash of Clones items? Well here’s a complete list of everything that you will no longer be able to purchase (with think) after October 7th:

Confused about what you should purchase before it’s gone? Well here’s my advice. If you have the Elixir buy everything, you can add a few of each (you can also store them). I’m not saying run out and spend all of your Elixir on decorations, but be sure you buy them before they’re gone. Trust me you’ll regret it in a few months if you didn’t purchase them. Plus, it’s part of your “battle scars” for playing TSTO. So next summer when new Tappers are coming into the game they’ll covet those buildings and castles! Got rid of the last of the nerds & cheaters and spent all the elixirs. Now, time to put all the extras in storage and leave the castles out to generate money.
Is there a chance that cheaters (dice) to be transformed into donuts and coins in game money? I still have plenty of cheaters and I woant to know how to spend elixir (spend it all or wait to be also transformed into game money)
Not seeing anything…truly a use it or lose it.
Not sure if anyone else experienced this glitch, but … I bought items yesterday, stored em in inventory (got the XP) and they magically disappeared.
Called EA and they said they’d reappear. They didn’t but I bought a few more walls, carts, etc and was able to buy multiples at a time (instead of the infamous one at a time for this whole event) and get the XP again. I think I have more items now than before the glitch…yay!
Yippee the Clash of Clones is finally over…. I can do a jig… Now bring on Halloween… 🙂
Can’t say I’m sorry to see this go. It was very much like Whacking Day, where it started out fun, but just dragged on. Fingers crossed for Halloween!

another possible tip is to start the Corn Quest, in the past, events have automatically ended my in progress Corn Quest early and I’ve gotten the money for it. Not sure if there’s a time element -meaning you will have needed to plant the corn x amount of time prior to get the coins.
This usually only happens if the farm is needed for something (ie Valentine’s Day Roses and Bunnies at Easter).

Elixir is spent up till now, any extra I get between now and the removal of the event will be spent on additional castle walls. Going to remodel my castles once the event is over so stockpiling as many Barbarian castle walls as I can.

Anyone know why I can’t download TSTO on my new Kindle HD6? I used to have it on an older model but my wife and I upgraded to a newer version. My son also has a Kindle which has the game available on it but can’t figure out why it’s not on this new Kindle.
Personally, I don’t use a Kindle so i’m not sure. Anyone else have an idea for terry? Otherwise I’d suggest contacting Amazon and seeing what’s up with it…
Hmmm. I guess I’ll have to contact amazon about it. I play on both my galaxy s4 and the Kindle. I’m rebuilding my town and it seems to me it’s a little easier on a bigger screen.
I liked it a lot in the beginning. I love castles and was happy I got the prizes a lot quicker than the gold calendar indicated (I used the stonecutters calendar during that event and was just able to get all the prizes in time, but it was tricky and the calendar helped to track my progress)
However, although I was happy I didn’t have to worry as much as during stonecutters, this one took very long…. The prizes were not as fun as with the stonecutters and the need to keep attacking also left (even though I did continue) resulting in many walls, towers etc.
I did like the nerds we could buy, wondered briefly about spending donuts, but didn’t in the end. Have got a bunch of the money ones though: defending or attacking castles, screaming and throwing rocks at the dog’s and at my own cart-race track 🙂 and attacking each other in Krustyland with random visitors getting caught in the middle sometimes….
Hated, hated, hated!
Did I say hated? Completed it very early on and wasn’t impressed with the recycled items.
Thank you EA for the extra land but please keep updates relevant to the actual Simpsons and in future what may seem funny at the time (ie to copy another game) is not funny for several weeks!

I never liked the Clash of Clones event, so I’m very happy that finally will be end, also happy about new items for Halloween :D, I will be storing the castles and walls and all that clash stuff.
I was hoping for a dragon but it was fun. It was a bit boring as the end drew near but at least I was having fun collecting elexirs by invading radom towns. And it wasn’t luck which decided what I could get unlike that awful easter event. But right now, all I can think is: halloween is coming to town! Best event in this game along with Christmas!
So I am trying to spend the 450k elixir I have saved up from this event tonight before it ends in the morning, but for some reason it will only let me buy one decoration at a time, then awards my XP… This mean I have to manually go to the menu and scroll all the say to my desired decoration every time, for 450k for of stuff lol. Normally with walls, trees, docoratins, etc you can just keep pressing buy and it awards everything when you are done. Has any one else ran into this issue? Trying to buy walls for 200 elixir is driving me crazy one at a time. However I refuse to let all the work to to waste so I’ll be up as long as it takes… Any ideas anyone? Or has anyone experienced this?

Thank Bunny. It’s also not letting me get more the 6 gates 6 towers and 16 walls… This does not seem right. I’m buying them and putting them in storage but the numbers are not going up. Is this something normal?
Let EA know. Word is EA is aware and was working on patching it in a later update.
If you use the event button instead of the decorations button you can at least get castle parts without having to scroll, but you still have to do them one at a time. If you don’t care about the XP you can click on the “x” after buying it and it will go directly into inventory — you can then go right into buying the next one from the event buttons at the bottom again.
Darn! I forgot about the XP. If I had remembered about that I probably would have continued buying stuff with the elixir I had.
It took a loooong time to buy 1264 walls, one at a time. I don’t envy you having 4x as much elixir.
I have found that the best way to buy walls, etc. is to tap the CoC icon, then the items icon (on the right), and it takes you directly to castle walls. Two taps, no scrolling, is better than one tap and lots of scrolling. Hope it helps. I’ve bought a bagillion walls recently and ever since the throne appeared it has been a nightmare!
Has any one else experienced this problem? I was stocking up on Clash items and noticed my elixer quantity not going down that quickly. I continued to horde (no pun intended) clash items and my elixer balance rarely changed. Much to my dismay I noticed that my current monetary balance has gone down over 1 million bucks.
Any suggestions???

If your 24 timer for visiting friends rolls over tonight or tomorrow morning you could wait to visit them for a bit on the chance that the new event (if it starts tomorrow) gives you some sort of event currency for visits. Kind of a gamble since you might get a head start on the new event, but if the event doesn’t start right away you miss getting some money (and a donut or two)…
I don’t care if Halloween comes tomorrow as long as Clash of Clans finally ends. Worst. Event. Ever.

Thanks, Alissa for the refresher on how this will possibly all end. Now I remember from past events, like the Easter Event, that it will probably require an app update to end it completely. I suspect at 4 am Eastern all the limited time CoC items will disappear from the in-game stores, but until there’s an app update, we will still be able to attack other Springfields and send the Simpsons out on Elixir earning tasks. I remember when the Easter event ended, I held out from updating the app because I was just a few Easter Fences away from winning the 50 Easter Fences prize (whatever that was at the time). Unfortunately, EA forced me to update the app to continue playing and I never got that prize (grrr…). I was *so* close though.

Clash of Clones was awful!! I’m addicted, so it took me 4 times my normal effort constantly attaching buildings to get lots of elixir etc. If they do this again, I’m going to have to quit. Gonna start buying everything I can tonight with my ton of elixir anyway!
This event was certainly the most time intensive but fair warning, all events require more tapping than usual.
Yes but usually the extra tapping is worth the effort. Not in this event.
