Should I Spend Donuts on the Teleporters Alpha and Omega?

Hey Howdy Hey Alien Squishing Tappers!

Halloween has arrived in Springfield!!!! WOO-HOO!  And, as usual, EA doesn’t disappoint!  We’ve got ourselves a fun update full of twists, turns, prizes and ALIENS!  And the best news?  Not a wheel or mystery box in sight!  Now, with all the new Premium Halloween Items it can be a bit overwhelming trying to decide what you should add to your Springfield and what you should save your donuts on…but have no fear!  That’s where we come in, to tell you what’s worth your donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Alpha and Omega Teleporters to YOUR Springfield?  Or even just what the heck the they do…  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down it all down…

ico_stor_trans_alpha_omega

Item: Teleporters Alpha and Omega
Donut Price: 50 Donuts
What Does it Do?: So, basically these make teleportation a reality…in Springfield!  The Alpha and Omega are two separate portals that you can place in various parts of your Springfield and when you tap on 1 it will take you to the other!  A great way to get from one end of town to the other (you know for those of us who are too lazy to scroll 😉 )!

Pro
-Can cut down on how long it takes you to get from one side of Springfield to the other..especially if you have a huge town!
-They look really cool
-Reasonably priced premium item

Cons
-No Bonus awarded with it.
-No direct character interaction (instead you’ll be the one using it)

Final Thought:
Personally, I think these are awesome!  They’re reasonably priced and have a genuine connection with the show (a WDTCF coming soon on it 🙂 )..plus who hasn’t wished they could teleport once in a while?!
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do, and this is one leaning in favor of buying.   Whatever you decide just remember, this is a Limited-time item…so if you’re thinking about it make sure you make your decision prior to the Halloween Event Leaving our games on November 12th!

When you do purchase it some funny little dialogue pops up with Homer and Frink…here’s what it looks like:

Homer: Oh my God!  Teleporters!  I can’t believe we have them here in Springfield.
Frink: Ah yes, the mind reels at the possibilities this kind of technology makes achievable.
Homer: I’m gonna use it to teleport the milk back to the fridge so my cereal doesn’t get soggy.
Frink: Or it can be just another gew-gew that makes sedentary bozos even more lazy.  With the obesity and fatty heart and the oy-van, sweating.
Place Teleporter Alpha
Place Teleporter Omega
Use a Teleporter

The items will be in your inventory…and stored separately..so you’ll have to pull both out.

To use the teleporters simply tap on one and and it will take you to the other.  Of course make sure you read the fine print! 😉

  1. Ugh i wish i had gotten these last year. Hopefully they return with this Dark Matter event.

  2. Looking at it for cyber Monday, is it one purchase for the set or do you have to buy each one individually?

  3. I really hope this shows up in the current sale. Does anyone know if you can buy more then one set?

  4. I don’t know… It’s 50 dougnuts, and it’s only transport matter…
    hmmm
    i’ll give you 35 cents for it…

  5. Do these raise the bonus percentage at all? That’d be a definite plus to these!

  6. I love them! They make a cool sound as well. I will never regret this purchase!

I bought it once I got enough donuts! The 30 from the UFO helped. Also, are you guys the only ones who can write articles? Because if there is a way, I would like to.

  8. I got these As soon as I saw them , love them! very useful!

  9. This is really a useful tool to cut down on the scrolling. I decided it was worth the donuts to make the game more fun to play. I put one by Frink’s lab (NW side) and the other by the bus to Krustyland (SE beach). They look great! I was going to pass these by, and I am glad for the careful review here because I probably would have regretted it.

  10. This was a ‘must-have’ for me. Not only because I’m big sci-fi & tech geek, but I appreciate the functionality it offers on my old 1st gen iPad that is a little sluggish scrolling through a large populated Springfield. This makes traveling from one end to the other in my Springfield a snap. I just have to get in the habit of using it more.

  11. I just got the transporter based on ur recommendations. I think it’s a great idea and I will definitely get used to using it. 👍

  12. Very cool. I only purchased one pair but I’m thinking of getting three more and placing half in the centre of town with the other half in the four corners of town so that I can instantly go to each corner.

  13. I’ve been waiting for this post! Thank you for breaking it down for us. I’m still on the fence about it, but I’m still regretting not getting all the premiums from last Halloween (I was new and so naive!), so I’ll prolly go for it. 🙂

  14. I don’t think I’ll drop 50 donuts just to be extra lazy. If they earned money, or something like that I would consider it. If it was in game money, I’d be all over it. But actual money… I love everything that is in this game. I started late, Easter of this year. So there are a lot of things I have missed out on. And that bums me out. I wish they had a garage sale every month! So that people could get a second chance to get items that they missed/couldn’t afford earlier. I guess there is always hope! This site rules, by the way. I love how it is run by very few people, and yet they have answered every question I have had. If only big companies would follow your lead, the world would be a happier place! Keep up the awesome work!!! Thank you so much for your hard work!!!

  15. I love it. Near to the far east side of my map, I’ve built a compound for Frink’s lab and the Ultrahouse, and arranged everything gadget-y and futuristic in there — so one teleporter there. And in the far upper NW of my map is KBBL and the TV station, as well as the entrance to Squidport, so I put the 2nd one right there on the docks. It’s super handy for popping back and forth in my rather large town.

    Plus they’re just cool.

  16. What happens if you put only one of them out, and tap it?

  17. I got the Teleporters and they have been useful in my alien squishing. I tapped on one and it brought me to the other teleporter where there was a Grem-Alien running around. So, I love it! Would have been awesome if Fly Bart came with it.

  18. Wish it would have come with the Fly mutant. THAT would have convinced me to buy it. :-/

    • Agreed! I would even have been happy with just an animation; Bart goes through pops out the other side as the BartFly and immediately returns through the portal of origin as himself. This could have been fun for any character. Perhaps a whole new set of 45sec jobs for the major players. Oh well, it’s still pretty neat, just not sure if it’s 50 D’s neat.

  19. Anyone know if saving Grem-Aliens for phase 2 makes sense? Are we still going to be able to use them and will they bring back the currency for phase 2 as they did with phase 1?

  20. I want these, this is from one of my favorite THoH episodes. Unfortunately I don’t have the donuts anymore…any inkling of any Gil offers soon? It seems like forever since an actual donut dicount deal…

  21. Am I the only person who really liked the Holiday Prize Wheel? With the daily wheel token, it was nice to know that you were guaranteed at least one prize every day without having to be constantly tapping in your Springfield all day.

  22. I want it, but I used my donuts on the characters/squishing items. I more than likely will get them at the end of the event.

  23. Umm, I’m sorry if this has been answered before but does the teleportation work in a neighbours town if they have it? Thanks!

  24. So…….not the right place in sure, but one of my “neighbors” springfields has the nerds from cotc waking free and not tied up. How do I do that?!?’

  25. This was a total no-brainer! Snapped them up straight away.
They’re really practical for moving around, and the original sound effect from the show is awesome 🙂

  26. This may have been answered before but, If I am 75% of the way to crafting Hugo and I elect to spend donuts to ‘Get it Now,’ do I get to keep the craft items already saved up? Do I get to keep the 225 fences already gathered toward craft completion?

  27. How do i get frinks lab?

  28. Cheryl. . Slack4cher166

I love this! I always can’t find my krustyland bus, now it’s easy to teleport to it!
    Any news regarding the glitch!?

  29. The moment they were there, I bought them. They are relly useful if I want to go from one corner to another. And the alpha teleporter looks so nice in Pr.Frink’s garden with his car, his egg makers and all the other sciency thingies.

  30. Awesome device!!. Had to have it!!!
