THOH Ray Gun Prizes: Breaking Down the Hover-Copter

Hey Howdy Hey Alien Squishing Tappers!

Well….unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that Halloween has arrived in Springfield!  A dark haze has over taken the streets of Springfield and Aliens are on the attack!  By now we’re all busy squishing and stopping those aliens dead in their tracks….and earning as many Ray Guns as we can!

With this event EA is trying something new (for them) and releasing items/prizes in phases.  Two prizes each phase, three phases, for a total of 6 prizes all together.  For the second phase, which lasts 11 days and ends 10/31 (0800GMT), you can win 2 prizes by collecting Ray Guns.  The second prize awarded at 7,100 Ray Guns is the Hover-Copter.

Let’s take a closed look at this airborne craft, and just what happens when it enters your town…

WARNING Mild Dialogue Spoilers Ahead

Once you’ve collected 7,100 Ray Guns the Hover-Copter will automatically be awarded to you and you’ll see this popup:

Much like Friendship Prizes, if you’re visiting a neighbor when you hit the 7,100 Ray Gun mark this message will still popup and your Hover-Copter will be waiting for you in your inventory once you get back to your Springfield.

The Hover-Copter will be placed in your inventory, so you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.   Just tap on the “use” icon to place it in your Springfield:

Once in Springfield some minor dialogue with Professor Frink will popup  with a simple task….

Frink: I have create the perfect aircraft. Cheap, fuel efficient and virtually indestructible.
Place the Hover-Copter
Tap the Hover-Copter

Frink: It just… would be nice if it flew a little higher than just a few feet.  And if it stayed airborne for more than a couple of seconds.  Mm-hay.

So here’s the deal with the Hover-Copter:

-Animated when tapped.
-No character interation.
-Improves Obedience on Conform-O-Meter
-If you don’t unlock it in the Ray Gun box you’ll have a chance to craft after the timer runs out.
-Flies…but only a small amount off the ground, and only for a few seconds.  Straight up and down only.

So that about covers all the details on this airborne disappointment….
