Update 10pm EDT: An update just hit the Google Play store…this adds nothing new to the game at the moment, so it’s most likely just glitch/bug fixes. And/or preparation for the new phase in 6 hours!

Just a little reminder that in just about 8 hrs from now (0800GMT, 4am EDT) the Ray Guns will switch to Long Protein Strings. And any Ray Gun prizes you have yet to win will lock up and you will no longer be able to earn Ray Guns to win them.
So….if you’re not quite at the Hover-Copter, in the next few hours try to wrap up your squishing and see if you can earn those extra Ray Guns to get there! (Remember to check out our end of Phase 2 tips)
I know a lot of you have MANY questions regarding the phase change…so I’m going to try and tackle as many as I can below…
What time do the Ray Guns change to Protein Strings?
Timer is set for 0800GMT (4am EDT). So that’s when it should change.
I’m so close to winning the Hover-Copter, is there any way I can hold off updating till I get it?
No. This is an automatic update configured with time coding. So that means at 0800 GMT the Ray Guns will disappear and Long Protein Strings will roll in. There’s no way to stop this…
I don’t have everything, did I completely miss my chance to get the Ray Gun Prizes?
No. The good news is with the introduction of the next phase the Ray Gun prizes (Bulldozer-saurs and Hover-Copter) will move to craftable items (if you haven’t won them). So you can get a second chance at earning them via the Make-A-Thing Workshop!
When will Pirate Airship leave?
That’s not scheduled to leave until November 2nd.
What about Devil Flanders, Witch Marge, Frog Prince, Freak Mobile, Bad Dream House, House of Evil etc?
These items arrived in our game just has the Ray Gun Phase was hitting. There is a GREAT chance that they will be leaving tomorrow morning with the Ray Guns. So…while I don’t know for sure…IF you’re thinking about buying one (or more) of these premium items do so before they leave the game. It is entirely possible if you put off getting them…they will be gone by the morning. So make your final decisions with the thought in mind that they could be gone very soon…

Will we be seeing Gil soon?
You never know just when Gil will be making an appearance. However, past on past donut sales…I don’t expect to see him until Christmas. So if you’re holding off on buying an old premium item looking for Gil…do so at your own risk. Especially since these items tend to disappear quickly.
I have all the Ray Gun Prizes, should I hold off opening Treat Bags until the Protein Strings hit?
It’s not a bad idea. I don’t know for sure those Treat Bags will contain Protein Strings…but if you already have all the prizes it can’t hurt 🙂

Will the Giant Pumpkin, Pumpkin House, Spooky House and Hugo still be Craftable Tomorrow?
They should be. It doesn’t look like they have a timer linked to them…but with EA you just never know.
What About The Regillian Queen? Will she finally be in tomorrow?
Seems very likely that she will be!
So my friends, that should cover all the basics for finishing out the Ray Guns and ushering in the Protein Strings!
To sum up…Ray Guns ending at 0800GMT (4am EDT) on 10/31…so get all the last ones you can! When they end (and there is no delaying the end of them) Protein Strings will arrive with a whole new set of prizes. However, you’ll still be able to craft Ray Gun Prizes you might have missed via Make-A-Thing! Oh and if you’re looking to add any of those returning premium items…do so before 0800GMT or you just might miss out on them! (again not 100% sure they’ll disappear tomorrow..but better to be safe than sorry!) 🙂

Anyone else not having proteins show up when in friends towns? It just suddenly stopped.

At bedtime last night I has 7050 rayguns and was debating whether to rush the hovercopter with donuts or wake up slightly early this morning and collect the last few before the prizes rotated (I’m in the UK). I decided to do it this morning, and at 6.50am my fiance turned to me in bed and said “it’s 6.50, do you want to squish some aliens or whatever it is?” LOL. I logged on and my grem-aliens had collected enough rayguns, collected my hovercopter, job done! It’s not the best thing in my Springfield by a long shot, but it’s a nice little decoration, glad I made the effort.

I earnt the copter with 2 minutes to spare. Finished with 7104 ray guns.

Just started the new phase, I was only getting 3 for proteine strands per and realized that there would be no way to get to 14000 in 12 days.
Came across a comment about the Google play update and once I did that it changed them to 5.

Hi! If I remember correctly, you guys mentioned in a previous post that you can have 50 rigillians spawn in your town at one time, and have another thirty in the bank, for a total of 80. Any rigellians in the bank are not spawning in my town. When I logged on this morning (I hadn’t played for about 7 hours) the total number of protein strings I had after squishing was 250. So 250÷5 is 50. I hung around for a while, gave my characters tasks, opened up my hoarded treat bags, even headed to the neighbours page to re synchronise my town, but no rigellians to squish! I thought this was happening throughout stage 2 also, but I wasn’t too bothered about it since the hovercopter wasn’t too appealing to me, however, I really wanna get the UBO! Has anyone else noticed this happening? Any recommendations on what to do?

5 strings per squished alien is great and finally possibility to purchase Super Collider – could not miss that building that I was jealous about in friends towns. Alien queen looks also great (placed her to the deep woods).
After the update, I have found that I am still able to craft the Hover-Copter in the Make-A-Thing Workshop even after earning all the ray-gun prizes. Is this intentional? (i.e. Are you allowed to have more than one Hover-Copter or is this a glitch?)
Apparently it’s going around. If you look in your Ray Gun Prize box it may show that you didn’t win it, even if you did. Mine’s showing no Hover-Copter…but it’s still in my Springfield. So yes…you can craft another one. BUT I wouldn’t. 1. you don’t know if it’ll be able to be placed in your Springfield and 2. why spend the items on that when there is new stuff to craft?
I definitely see what you mean with your second point. Though I did consider having a fleet of Hover-Crafts in my Springfield. 😛 Thanks for letting me know!

Just updated and started the new phase. Looks pretty decent, but almost all the new prized need chocolate bars or fences and I still need to buy the grand pumpkin 🙁 well looks like I’ve gotta speed things up a little to get through this one. Keep up the good work guys!
Hmmmm…checking the new prizes I noticed that it showed me the hovercopter there…Actually, I got it two days before the end of that phase and it bugs me not seeing it as completed in that prize overview chart.
However, so far I like the new phase, especially the queen. In addition with the rigellian houses (that have a horrible payout) it looks quite nice. Probably good for the TV studios area.
Btw. what effects does the rigellian bush have?

The bush is just a decoration (tree-hugging)…nothing else.
There’s nice little bug at the moment so take advantage while you can. The tribal hut will build even if you don’t have the chocolate bars needed. Since choc bars are the most precious material this is a major bonus. I had 49 out of 50 so I only gained one. But the bug has persisted so I can get a second one now as soon as I get the other materials. Only works on huts and only on chocolate bars.
Another thing you can do , try making a tribal hut before opening your treat bags. That way you save any chocolates you might get. Wish I jd done this as I’d been saving bags for a couple of days. Just didn’t notice the bug immediately.
Seems that 1 alien equal to 5 string protein. Yeayyyyy
And there’s fence glitch guys! Even though I only have 34 fences, but I manage to craft Rigellian Hut after I’ve crafted Rigellian Queen. The glitch just automatically said that I can craft the hut despite 200+ fences I needed. Hehehehehe
Ok so got the new phase now, I won the hovercopter but its in my craft menu to craft….any ideas? Lol. And also my crafting icon has continuously got a ! On it even though there are no treat bags to open.

I’m off to a great start. I had around 400 bags so I’ve already got over 1000 protein strings and enough fences to craft the Queen. Then my game glitched and even though I didn’t have enough fences to build the hut, the Craft Now button was lit so I tapped it. And tapped it. And tapped it. I ended up with 3 huts and all it took was the candy corn. Woohoo! I love a happy glitch!
Kinda annoyed with phase 2. I played the crap outta this the past 12 days & still only wound up with 5785 ray guns when we switched over this morning. At this rate, I’m starting to doubt I’ll be able to get to the final prize in 3, either. I don’t see how people are supposed to get to the end without spending a couple hundred donuts on the prizes. Quite offputting.
Im starting phase 3 with 600 protein strings. Whoo hoo only need 60 fences and 30 eggs to craft the queen. 😀
Thanks to opening 300 bags on the start of phase 3, I’ve now manages to craft the Pumpkin guy and Regellian Queen. Oddly, despite getting the Hover Copter in phase 2, it is also craft able.
The Play Store update fixes ART issue so for those on KitKat who prefer to use ART, you can ditch Dalvik now.
I just opened all my saved treat bags. I had amassed about 180 of them. I got 8 donuts (which I was very happy with) and 11 ammos which I thought was a bit disappointing.
I also decided to craft the spooky house rather than the Rigellian Queen. I don’t seem to be collecting broken fences very quickly so I think that will put the Queen off limits for me. I hope that’s not a decision I come to regret.
The third phase started within seconds of passing the deadline in my game while being logged on. Unopened treat bags are dropping DNA strands. Tapped small aliens produce 5 strands, so that the higher goals should be reachable.
Noticed a small glitch in my game. The phase two prize screen only shows the Bulldozer-saurus even though I also have the Hover-copter. The prizes for phase one are both showing on their screen.
