Item: Tentacle Tree
Donut Price: 18 Donuts

Bonus: 1%

Pros
-Neat looking decoration, goes great with Rigellian items
-Fairly inexpensive
-Animated
-Gives a decent bonus for the cost

Cons
-No benefit for THOH (no help with Rigellians or Protein Strings
-No questline associated with it
-No Character interaction

Final Thought:
Personally, I think this is a good buy.  If you have the donuts and are looking to get in the bonus % game…this is a good buy. It’s also a fun looking decoration that can really add to a Rigellian area of your Springfield!
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do, and this one I fully intend on purchasing.  Whatever you decide just remember, this is a Limited-time item…so if you’re thinking about it make sure you make your decision prior to the Halloween Event Leaving our games on November 12th!

What do YOU think of the Tentacle Tree? Have you purchased it already or are you still on the fence?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Is it a good idea to by many now that they cost 10? I’m new to KEM-farming so I’m wondering if this is a good way to amp up my bonus? How many should I get for it to have significance?

    • Yes, new SIB post on it coming this afternoon. And as far as quantity, that’s not my area…i always just say get as many as you like. I’m sure tehre’s a math equation somewhere, but I don’t play this game for math lol

  2. Buy! Buy! Buy! Currently 18 donuts with an 8 donut rebate. 1% = 10 donuts. Better than Jet Engine Bike!

  3. I bought three and would buy more!

  4. why everyone forgets that the premium motorcycle gives 2% with only 30 donuts? that’s the best donuts/bonus ratio!

    • Actually when it was, and possibly will be, available, Snowball II Snowcat for 20 donuts (2% bonus increase) was/is the best donuts/bonus ratio, and it takes up one less square than the Jet Engine Bike.

    • But with the 8 donut rebate, 1% for 10 donuts is a good deal.

  5. I bought one to go in the grounds of my spooky house and it looks great, well worth the small donut spend I reckon

  6. I had the exact number of donuts needed, so I bought this. I like that it gives a 1% bonus and wouldn’t have bought it without that bonus. If I manage to get the queen and any huts, it will go in my alien village — for now it’s in the dump.

  7. Does the animation involve the lazer-eyed mutant squirrel, or do the tentacles just wiggle? Would be awesome if it had a task with Burns and/or Smithers stuffing it with toxic waste drums…. I think I’m gonna go watch the monorail episode…

  8. i got two, they are in the back yards of the houses near the power plant. i like them better there than by my portal. after reading this post i am tempted to purchase another though -_-

  9. I’ll definitely buy one last minute, but I’m holding off because I’m hoping they come in treat bags at the end. I know it’s a long shot but I speculate it’s possible because it’s in the pic with the human test tube for the make a thing.

  10. I went ahead and bought two. They look great with my queen and I like the bonus it gives. One I didn’t didn’t mind spending a few donuts on. 🙂

  11. I bought one the moment I saw it n placed it next to the burns mansion… Because mr burns has to have everything lol

  12. Are daily free friend donuts still available at max friend points level during this update?

  13. I bought it as soon as the event started! I’m almost totally freemium so when I can get something, I like, for 18 donuts, I’m stoked!

  14. I like this decoration a lot. It spruces up the nuclear power plant area. Side note! It made its debut the same episode that Burns was apprehended “secretly hiding the ooze” that led to the fine that eventually funded the….wait for it….The Monorail.

  15. I don’t think I’ve seen this discussed anywhere, but is this the same tentacle tree that was in “Marge vs. the Monorail”? I’m admittedly not much of an expert on tentacle trees, but that’s the only time I can remember seeing one on the show.

  16. Getting 1% for 18 donuts is a no brainer !!

With get a couple for my B town !!

  17. I concur, This is a good buy – 18 donuts for 1%. Usually the most bang for your donut is 40 donuts for 2%. This is a 10 % saving if you buy 2

  18. I like it. I placed it in the middle of my woods (now my “creepy” woods) and it looks eerie and stands out nicely.

  19. I was hoping they would give us one free at some point, maybe have Mr. Burns hide nuclear waste and then surprise he just mutated a tree like in the episode it’s from, but sadly I’ll just have to buy one (not all that sad as I’ve earned way more than 18 donuts during this event)

  20. As far as donuts for % increase, this is the cheapest amount spent for the most % increase, since usually you spend 40 donuts for something with a 1% increase. At 18 donuts, this is the best deal, and a neat looking decoration!

  21. My Springfield is practically a Tree City USA, so of course I had to have the Tentacle Tree! I love it and will definitely find fun places to move it around to. The tentacle branches wave and are funny.

  22. I’ve become a completionist. Of course I had to buy one. Looks good in my cemetery area. 🙂

  23. I got it early on. I saw the price and jumped. I tried putting in my Rigellian Square in my Halloween section, but I ended up placing it in its original spot in a little “Horror Woods” that I have where I just basically put a bunch of different colored trees and have a “scorched” area of dead trees and bare trees around Kodos’s UFO. It blends in nicely enough to where you can see it, but it doesn’t jump out at you. Right by the make shift cemetery I have.
