Hey Howdy Hey Alien Squishing Tappers!
Well….unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that Halloween has arrived in Springfield! A dark haze has over taken the streets of Springfield and Aliens are on the attack! By now we’re all busy squishing and stopping those aliens dead in their tracks….and earning as many Long Protein Strings as we can!
With this event EA is trying something new (for them) and releasing items/prizes in phases. Two prizes each phase, three phases, for a total of 6 prizes all together. For the third phase, which lasts 12 days and ends 11/12 (0800GMT), you can win 2 prizes by collecting Long Protein Strings. The second (and final of the event) prize awarded at 14,900 Long Protein Strings is the U.B.O.
Let’s take a closee look at this alien-like creature, and just what happens when you win it for your town…

Once you’ve collected 14,900 Long Protein Strings the U.B.O will automatically be awarded to you and you’ll see this popup:
Much like Friendship Prizes, if you’re visiting a neighbor when you hit the 14,900 Protein String mark this message will still popup and your U.B.O will be waiting for you in your inventory once you get back to your Springfield.
The U.B.O will be placed in your inventory, so you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it. Just tap on the “use” icon to place it in your Springfield:
Once in your Springfield a questline will popup for the U.B.O (we’ll cover that in another post)…and yes, this is a skin for Mr. Burns. Complete with a full sent of tasks!
Here’s a look at the U.B.O’s tasks:

So here’s the deal with the U.B.O:
-Skin for Mr. Burns, so you’ll be required to have Mr. Burns to get it
-Comes with a full set of tasks
-Comes with a 5 Part questline….only Mr. Burns will be required for it
-Several amusing outdoor animations
-Voiced
So that about covers all the details on the final prize of THOH XXV!

Can’t believe I missed this event! I would’ve really loved the U.B.O…
I was so excited about the U.B.O. being available, and just missed it by strands. My prize menu says that I’ll still be able to craft this item, and when I go into the Craft Now menu, he’s not in there! Is anyone else experiencing this? And if so, how do we become able to craft the UBO? Thank you!
That is the default for it. Just go to your app market and make sure the option to Auto update is turned OFF for the app. Then keep playing as long as you can to try and earn enough strings to still win him.
I didn’t get the UBO; but, GOD if I didn’t try. Please tell me that it will be attainable in some capacity in the near future so I can get my drugged out me burns fix…
If you are close…turn your auto update option to OFF in your app market and keep collecting strings as long as you can to try and still get him.
Hi fellow tappers! I clicked on “use” in my inventory, but I dont see UBO anywhere… and no task popping up… any advice?

Are The U.B.Os taks gonna be avilable after the Halloween event ends? And do we get a reward when all the tasks are done?
As far as we know…they may stick around. No reward outside the standard completion of each task in the questline.

Just got the UBO and I gotta say it looks amazing. I only have played the game for 1 month so naturally I don’t have a lot of skins but of all the ones I have seen on YouTube this is one of the best
I just got a pop up message saying that time in the Halloween event was up, and asked if I had gotten all the event prizes yet, but the timer still says there are three days left.
I’m 400 DNA strings away from the UBO so I hope I,still have time left.
Any idea what is going on? Are they ending the event early?
That is odd. I didn’t get a pop up. Timer still same for me. Was it in your game? Or just one of those notifications to get you to go back n play?
It’s the same pop-up notification I got each time the aliens 10 day quest was about to end to make sure I have unlocked that part of the quests items, but I got it 3 days early for some reason.
The timer in the game still says about 3 days left….
Maybe it’s an extra early notification because I haven’t unlocked UBO yet?

I just got my UBO this morning. When I checked just now, I got a message saying something like, Time to check in and make sure you get all your prizes. I think it was just a heads up message.
The U.B.O prize is cool.
Defiantly was worth the tapping.

Im on track for the ubo. Is this the end of the line for halloween stuff?I have tons of Halloween treats & have1 of each of the prizes. (Don’t really want additional pumpkin/spooky houses, copters etc). should I use my resources up on walls (bonus multipliers), or should I wait & horde more in case they release a surprise?
Far as we know this is it…but I usually wait til last day anyway just in case.

I’m a bit ahead of the quota schedule and may get the UBO during by Monday, I think.
The only item I have not won/crafted, yet, is the hover-copter.
Figures that I have ~800 gummy bears and 60+ candy corn (& even less candy bars!) I guess it’ll be more excess purple stuff lost at the end event, like the last one.

As I go on a squishing binge this weekend, has anyone noticed sometimes one alien smush will generate 10 protein strands?
It depends on what level your weapon is and how many you get at a time. Mine seems to hit 10 or more at a time now with the radius being so much bigger from upgrading the weapon.

In my town, I have just a few of the actual streets and use pavement for most street functions. When I signed in a while ago, I found almost all of my aliens within a short segment of street and popped 49 of them with one pop. No, I didn’t count them — I looked at my protein strand score before and after the hit and did the math. I found a straggler just outside the radius of my tap, and got him/her/it with a quick second tap!
I tore my roads out too ages ago. Pavement as you can put vehicles on it. Small patches of sidewalk her n there.
I think I will reach 12k proteins today but I am not sure I will get this priza before time runs out. I am desperate beacuse this is the ONLY prize I must get!!!! Do you think I will make it??

Thanks, Bunny. I think I can keep earning about 1000 proteins a day. Luckly I will make it. And do you know if I will able to keep it and do the tasks even if the halloween event is over?
That we are not 100% on. In the past though…event quests tend to stick around for a week or two after.
I am convinced I am doing something wrong with this event or something… I tap in multiple times a day, get 2 rounds of trick or treating in with the kid characters every day, visit my max amount of neighbors every day, yet I’ve fallen short in all 3 sections of this halloween event for the final prizes. I missed the donut machine, the helicopter and I am no where near getting UBO… Not sure if there was any tricks to collecting more ray guns, and protein strands but I’m only at 7200 and theres only 4.5 days left. I can’t figure out how I am so far behind for someone who plays so regularly. I had the problem in COC until I discovered the 1 nerd per attack strategy you had posted on this blog. If there’s any secrets to ramp up Protein Strand production I’d love to hear it because I’d really like that UBO skin

It’s been a bit of a hardcore this one for me. I’ve made sure I’ve sent the kids trick or treating three times a day every day without fail to make sure I max’d my chances and still just under 12k protein strands. Buying the ray gun helped with extra ammo to shoot down ufos which have been pretty rewarding. Just keep tapping, you can only do what you can do 😊
Have you bought the Hunting License?? I did that the very first day, and will give u extra strings, I think also, depending on your level!! Bunny, Alissa and Wookie can help with more info! My UBO ( Mr Burns) just let me know to give him another task !! Good Luck !! 🙂

I don’t know because I already had Mr. Burns, but isn’t it likely that you can earn (or “get”) the skin even if you don’t have Mr. Burns yet, it’ll just be unable to be used until you do? I ask b/c I earned (or “got”) the Moog skin despite not having Moe at that point in time, but just couldn’t use it until Moe was unlocked.
I think she meant to use it. Many were asking if the UBO was an actual extra playable character and not a skin. Since it is a skin, you do have to have Mr Burns unlocked in order to use it. 😉
The UBO is from one of my all time favorite Simpson episodes, and I’m jazzed to that we’ll get his voice in the game. I’m about 800 LPS away from getting UBO, so I’ll get it by end of day. Yay!
I’m getting close to the UBO and can’t wait to unlock him. But based on my play and collection rate, I won’t unlock the UBO until just before the event ends. This is the prize I am most excited for and will definitely be spending donuts to get it if I don’t earn it. And I’m so excited that it’s voiced!!!
When you sa it is voiced, is it the regular Burns voice as it is with his other skins or dose it actually have the “i bring you love” voice from the episode it comes from?

When I first tapped him in a neighbors town the other day (I am about 2000 lps away from earning him myself) and hear “Don’t be afraid” I almost cried it was so beautiful

Just topped off and got him…have to wait for masquerade to end in an hour or two, then time glow in the dark!
I’m not gonna make it! But I do feel like the game is rewarding more treat bags with protein strings than before, so I’m inching closer. This is only my second event (started the game in the middle of Clash of Clones), so I’m learning as I go. But it is fun!
I’m only 1000 away so I vow to no longer tap those gremaliens!

Aloha Alissa!! I recd my UBO over 24 hrs ago, and Love that little Character!! I have him on his 4th job, and is as cute as can be!! With 5 days plus to go as of yesterday at 12:30 a.m , means I can “relax” a bit and just play it with no “stress” in trying to get that UBO!! Mahalo for all of you three gals helping us with all our ??’s!! Aloha soon… stepingstair…:)

I just passed the 10K mark so I’m close. But I’ve been saving up my Trick or Treat bags. I currently have over 100 stored. I’m going to play HARD today and unleash them tonight to see how close I get.

Why save bags now? Just curious.
Only because the last 4K or so to go seem to go by VERY SLOW so I’ve been saving them to make the last leg go faster. It’s mostly a psychological thing and since I’ve already crafted all the stuff I wanted to craft, i just felt it would help me.
