Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time to stuff the turkey…that’s next week! Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. The Simpsons are all new tonight, will you be checking out the new episode? We said goodbye to Halloween and Hello to Level 47, as it hit our devices last week. What are your thoughts on the new level? Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, will a Thanksgiving update be rapidly approaching too? What do you think we’ll see? Sunday Night Football tonight features the Patriots vs the Colts…who are you rooting for?

If I tap the buildings in my town once the money is ready to be collected, will that take away from what is available to friends when they visit my town?
Yes. Make sure you leave something for them. If the buildings regenerate fast it’s OK. But if they take hours, you may want to wait and just clear them when handshakes show up
Bunny, I’ve been looking for your comment about leaving white houses for your neighbors to tap, and I can’t find it, so I’ll reply to this one. I can’t stop thinking about how that would work. (I mean I REALLY can’t stop thinking about it, as I think you made the comment a good while back.) If you clear all the handshakes all at once, wouldn’t your neighbors have to wait 12 hours before they can tap them again, or does the resetting factor make it work so the houses are ready for them when they next visit? I would like to try that, but don’t want to lose out on the high rents.
I would love to see how you have it set up, so if you occasionally put people on your neighbor waiting list, I would be very happy to wait. (You can delete that last part before posting this, so you don’t get an avalanche of requests.)
Thing is…if THEY tap it…you still get paid and they still help by resetting the clock when they tap it. So it’s still counting down for you.

Hi everybody!
I was just thinking, my Springfield is almost overrun with different characters. Freemium, premium and NPC…
And it bothers me that every level update keeps adding another character and building.
Wouldn’t it be nice if instead of a new character, we’d get some more questslines for existing characters? Make it almost like an episode of somekind… some cool story. Or different smaller stories for multiple existing characters (both freemium and premium if you have the necessary character)?
Also they could update the existing tasks. Add some new ones, preferably with animation. And as for all the NPC’s… it would sure be fun to see them interact with some Springfielders…
Like give a task to one (or a few) character(s) that if a certain NPC is available (not doing the task with another character), they can team up.
I mean let Homer be chased around by that walking dolphin. Let Ralph ride that Buldoser-saurus. Let those zombies go after Springfielders!
They should spice things up. Use what we have more often instead of adding all these characters and then let them catch dust!

Hi Bunny, I have a question for u. Yesterday when I was decorating the Quimbly place, I received a message that I would have too much in my town if I added more. Not sure what to do. If I sell my brown houses out of my inventory would that help? Not sure about getting the items for the next events. Do u know what I am talking about? It sounded like my town would get all jumbled up if I add more. Thank u in advance for your help. Mary Jo
You gotta watch those limits. It means you got too much stuff in your town. If you keep pushing the limit, you could end up locking yourself out of your game like I did. It will also cause other issues, like slower reaction time, more crashing, more glitches, and just more trouble.
Reevaluate the amount of things you have around. See if you can tuck away some trees, bushes, flowers, etc. Trade in 3 single bushes for one large one. Inventory will NOT impact the counts. That is separate. This pertains to what is actually out in your town.
I like the Nuke option at times like this. Then I can store pretty much all my town and redesign it a bit better. You can also see how much “stuff” you really have in your town too. Kinda shocking. 4500 items is a LOT. (Though I probably have another 10000 stored. Lol.)

I know it has been doing crazy things in my town. I do love trees and flowers. What about Krustyland? Is it tied to my Springfield? Mary Jo
Nope. Two separate towns. 🙂
It helps that we play the games too, so our knowledge is from personal experience right along with our readers. (That and my 2D and 3D art addiction had me pushing those limits on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. Learned my lesson when I was locked out of my game for 3 months while they kept rolling it back til I could get in. Lol. )

I’ll be sure to get my grandson Hayden to make you a snow angel, if he doesn’t I’ll send my husband out into the snow. ….lol. Heading home Wednesday, my grand daughter cried today and I was only meeting up with friends for lunch. She thought I was going home and cried…don’t leave Nana, don’t leave. Three years olds have no concept of time…..came back she was napping and when she woke she said oh Nana, you came back!
Cold here today and so windy, now I know why I left Saskatchewan and moved to British Columbia!

How sweet of your little g’baby!! Lauren took two girls up to see aunt over weekend, and Aaron said his phone rang on Sunday morning, and when he answered it, 14month old Katie said, Dar? Dar? She had found Mummy’s phone and randomly dialed! Thank heavens it was to her father! Lol. She thinks it is wonderful that daddy is in the ‘hello’ as she calls the phone! Lol
Well you all be careful making me that snow angel…the heat here may cause your snow to melt. It is currently sitting at 109.9degs outside and it is nearly 5pm! Absolutely horrendous weather. My darling daughter told me of a temperature app so I downloaded it and it tells me we are currently 86degs! I think the heat has killed the app! 😓
Apart from the note in the other thread, I haven’t heard from Mary Jo, but I am assuming she is busy with Wendell and also out and about walking now her weather has cooled down for her. I had a friend ring me from Bega this morning and she told me she is still wearing her winter pj’s! This is one crazy country! How I wish I lived in Bega! I would go walking and wear winter pj’s as well…altho not at the same time! The sound of derisive laughter fills me with feelings of complete mortification! 😱
Well my dear I shall away for now…time to worry about dinner for the kid now..he has grown an inch in the past four weeks, so I’m thinking its cos I feed him! He is now 2 inches taller than me…still a long way to go before he reaches his father’s 6ft 5ins, or uncle Aaron’s 6ft10ins! Altho I hope he doesn’t get that tall…it isn’t as great as people think I remember how much Aaron copped from people about his height and what he should and shouldn’t be able to do etc etc.mpeople just don’t stop and think before they mouth off at kids, do they?

Dear Val, sorry u missed me getting back to u, but I understand. Wendell is doing amazing. He went to the doctor’s today and the doctor is very happy with what he saw. Wendell is putting on some weight, which the doctor wanted to see happen. Afterward, I took him shopping and he pushed the shopping cart all over. Right now he is napping. He is such a dear man and I would be lost without him, so I am very grateful to our Maker for giving me more time with my sweet husband.

One more question – I’m level 34 or so and *still* don’t have Rod and Todd unlocked. What gives?
Are you looking at your XP level at the bottom of the screen? Or are you actually going off the Game Play levels and have all the Level questlines completed to have the ability to unlock them? The two are completely different. 😉

What’s the deal with the bounce house? I don’t see any posts explicitly stating it’s purpose. Only notice it being mentioned in comment threads. Please tell me what function it serves! Will there be a Pawtucket brewery tie-in to it?

I know it’s Monday but but this seems like the most logical place to post my question…… I noticed yesterday when I tapped my moonbounce that Willie’s bounce is locked and says “one small bounce for man pt. 2” I have already done that quest line. I thought maybe it’s because he was currently doing another task and that’s why it was locked, so I waited for him to finish and it’s still locked! I double checked the walkthrough to make sure I completed everything and I have. Any ideas? Anyone else have this glitch?
Everyone has it. Lol. Waiting for EA to remove it. We saw this in the past with a few other characters having completed temp tasks remain after. No worries. As long as you see the Golden Ticket, the task is done. 🙂
I’m a level 47 player, and I just had my righteousness stars go from 5 to 0, sending my town from 5 stars to 4 stars.
I have been on the “Do not graffiti” boards to add friends, so I don’t have a lot of graffiti to clean up…(just the occasional friend to remove).
Has anyone else had this issue happen before? One tag can’t kill ALL your stars, can it?
It can. This is why we suggest to use training walls if you are leveled up enough to combat it. Sideshow missed captures will impact it. Criminal Characters will impact it from time to time. Vandalism will impact it.
It is one of the hardest ratings to maintain and always was…til those Training Walls came into the game. Now I have them hidden all over town.
Also, remember each new level has new Conform requirements…so you need to hit even HIGHER levels with 47. So add a few more training walls to help if needed.
Mine was at 1 1/2 stars though the end of the Halloween event, and then jumped back up to five stars when the event completed. Today, it dropped from 5 to 2 1/2 — with no increase in level and Sideshow Bob did not make an appearance — it was just lower when I signed in.
Back in the coc event ea stated that there would be some way to boast on our character levels anyone know, what happened with that plan?
Lol. If I tap on the Castle in my own town I still see them. Haven’t seen any really in neighbors to tap and test it there.
Yep. Touch another player’s castle and you will see the levels of their CoC characters. For instance, I just touched on Bunny’s Barbarian Castle and found that her Barbarian Homer is level 28, and her Wizard Marge is level 10. (In fairness, this is her “D” game, I’m sure her “A” game characters are much higher, but I’m not linked to any of her other games.)

That’s a task associated with the Sunsphere…it’s a 16 hour task for Bart, Nelson, Milhouse and Martin to Celebrate the ‘WOD FIR’.
Anyone else find it amusing that the Moonbounce was JUST released for both TSTO and Family Guy: Quest for Stuff? I wonder if it’s intentionally a reference to each other’s game…
Bunny and I giggled over that one…we see a lot of similarities between the two. Pyramids, Lincoln Monuments…
To be honest, I wouldn’t mind a task where all the kids chant “Smelson” at Nelson to get back at the bullying tasks.
Oddly enough I had a random dream this morning where you guys did a post asking people to stop (repeatedly) asking common sense questions incessantly. Not saying people do that here..but…haha. Maybe it was build up from reading posts and answers where the answers are just copy+paste to the same questions being asked over and over.
Woo-Hoo! I’ve been a daily player since March and today was the first time ever I got 10 donuts in the ‘Mystery Box’ reward we get each week (except sometimes during events). I usually only get parking lot slots, fences, newspaper dispensers or a small amount of in-game cash.
I noticed a new glitch. I don’t know if it is just me or not. I never seen this one before today. Twice today I came across a set of handshake icons from neighbors who had visited and collected rent for me, but after tapping them, no name appeared. So I don’t know which friend it was that paid the visit.
Next week is Thanksgiving week… so if there is to be a mini-event for the holiday, I suspect it will drop this week, no? Possibly next week, I suppose. Didn’t the 4th of July event start very close to the holiday itself if I recall correctly? So I guess it could start a day or two before Thanksgiving if it happens at all. Only EA knows for sure, I imagine.
My guess is it’ll hit this week…

Cool! I take whatever I can get. This was the first time I found *any* donuts in a Mystery Box. This past Halloween event, it wasn’t until sometime into the 3rd phase before I got any donuts for shooting down a UFO in a neighbor’s town.
