Tappers 101 – Navigating The New Inventory Menu

Bunny here. Putting on my glasses, getting out my pocket protector, and getting my magic fingers and thumbs ready to type those zeroes and ones. Basically…it’s Nerdy Time!!

For whatever various reasons, our game likes to frak with our minds and heads and nothing seems to quite go right. We panic. Throw our device. Scream. Yell. There may be many tears as well.  Just slowly take your thumbs/fingers off the device or you may crack the screen. Lol.  It’s ok. I am here to help. All of us are. Promise.

Sample 2

In this post, I will be going over the basics of using the New Inventory Menu EA put into our games a lil bit back. Help you find and locate items easier and make sense of it all. So sit back as we dive on in.

There are a lot of cool new changes to the Menus now and it can be kind of overwhelming to try and find information. To help, I am going to break down each icon section to make a bit more sense of where everything is tucked away now and how you can find it.

There are a few different ways to locate your Inventory Storage Box. In your game in the lower right corner is the Hammer and Saw icon (Main Menu). If you tap on this, look to the lower left hand corner of your game. There you will see the Inventory Brown Storage Box.  Tap on it to get to your Inventory Storage.

Main Menu The Store Inventory Storage Box

Or there is also the  Directional Arrows Icon (Movement Menu). If you tap on that you will also see over on the lower left hand side the Inventory Brown Storage Box.

Directional Arrows Movement Menu Inventory Storage Box

Either option you take, both will take you to the Inventory Pop Up Screen.Inventory Main Screen

Once inside the Inventory Pop Up Screen, you will see a basic layout. On the left, 3 icons of main items. Characters, Buildings, and Decorations. Right along side of them an arrow that when swiped will open all the icons.

Inventory Main Screen Left Side Icons

In the center you will see items that may be NEW to your Inventory. This could be ones that you recently earned during an event or Character skins you unlocked. It will vary by player.

Inventory Main Screen Info

In the upper left corner is the Back Button.

Back Button

In the upper right corner are two Feature areas again discussed also on the Main Menu post.

Videos and Options settings

The Movie Clips Video Camera Icon (Cut Scenes). That will let you rewatch the lil videos from the very start of the game.

Cutscenes

The Settings Cog Wheel Icon (Options). This is where you can adjust the in game volume, Character/Sound Effects volume, Push Notifications, set Confirm Donut Spend,  Language, and more.

Options

Now that you have the basic outline, let’s look into Inventory a little bit more in details of what you will see when you tap on them. These sections will vary on what YOU have won or stored throughout your playing history. So drag the arrow in the center across the screen to fully open up the Inventory Icons. Keep in mind this WILL show storage for both Springfield and Krustlyand. So any Krustyland items WILL be locked when you are in Springfield as they can’t be placed there. (If you look closely, you will see a lot of these items are in alphabetical order.)

Inventory ConsumablesGift Bag & Mystery Box Icon (Consumables). This is where you will see items like the Boardwalk Tiles you have earned, as well as Prize Boxes you may have won. So if you got a Mystery Box inside a Mystery Box or Homer Buddha, this is where you will find it to open it.

Inventory GamesWhack A Mole (Games). This is where you will see any games from Krustyland stored. You can’t put them in Springfield so they will be locked.

On a side note, you will also see icons under the pop up. One to take you back to the other menus and one with a Homer Golden Statue.

Character SetsHomer Golden Statue (Character Sets). If you are curious of what all has been released into the game vs what YOU have in the game, this is the place to go. It will show ALL the Character sets from ALL events and releases. You can see what ones you have completed and what ones you did not.

So that about breaks down the Inventory Storage Menu and the Categories inside of it. Keep an eye out for my other Menu posts.

As always, we are here to help in anyway we can. (I even try to harass…errr…I mean contact EA on our readers behalf to see if there is anything more I can find out too.) Just keep hanging in there. Changes happen. We will all get used to it eventually. 😉

  1. I have looked n looked but I don’t have the Golden Homer statue to see my character sets. What am I doing wrong? If anyone has experienced this and has advice, I would super appreciate it. Thank u

  2. The training walls are nowhere to be seen in the Walls section, but are there when you scroll through the Decorations section. Anyone else seeing this?

    • If you look in this very post…I point out EXACTLY where they are in this post as well as where they are to buy in the main post. 😉 (Hint:Decorations}

      • Thanks Bunny! I just got confused because they were listed in the description of the Walls section in this post but I couldn’t find them myself! 😀

  3. The “Fence” item (the simple brown one that the game leads you to put in the squidport) isn’t in the Walls section under decorations, which is where I would expect to see it. This isn’t a new item… is there another section that the developers have decided this belongs to, or do we figure this is an oversight and it will eventually be sorted into Walls?

  4. My brother is missing his jebadiah statue, he always had it placed in his Springfield… It’s not in his inventory either :/

  5. The Barbarian and his castle are not in the Characters section. I blew up my town to redesign after the Halloween event- I always do this after events- and noticed that he is not with the rest of the characters.

    • Some won’t have a home yet. Especially if they are brand new. So check the beginning section, inventory for those that are considered “skins”, and the Misc areas.

FYI…if a character CAME with a building, you got to put that back to bring them back into the game.

  6. Anyone else having issues with purchases of items not adding to your bonus percentage? I just bought the tire fire and Nightboat but it didn’t add additional percentage. Anyone else confronted this lately?

    • You need to wait until the changes sync up with your game. Sometimes you can force this by visiting Krustyland or Neighbors. Give it a full 24 hrs for it to sync up at least
