Halloween has disappeared from our games and Level 47 has arrived in Springfield! And with it arrives a little “French Culture”…with the French Waiter! Now I know you may be trying to decide if this uppity Frenchman is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add French Waiter to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Clumsy Frenchman to YOUR Springfield!
Character: French Waiter
Donut Price: 50 donuts
Character Collection: More Oddballs
Pros:
-Comes with a quest line
-Premium character earns 50% more on all cash and xp than a freemium character
-A couple of fun outdoor tasks.
-Voiced
-Inexpensive
Cons:
-No Character Interaction after questline.
-No buildings
-Several of his tasks are indoors.
Final Thought:
Personally, if you’re looking to start adding premium characters to your game I say go for it. The French Waiter is a fun addition..and fairly inexpensive, plus he’s voiced! To me this is a buy…especially since he’ll help you earn more income for Springfield. However, you might want to wait on this one. The French Waiter isn’t going anywhere…but Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. You never know what might drop into Springfield with those events (or if Gil will show up during the holidays). So, personally, if you’re low on donuts I’d wait until after the New Year to pick him up.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell I do plan on purchasing The French Waiter at some point. However, this is NOT a Limited-Time Item so take your time with your thought process. He will still be there in a few weeks. So if you’re on the fence or worried about saving up your donuts relax..there’s no rush to get him

Man I got him how could I not great price
It’s a shame that EA are a rip off I mean I would love to log in
And see a Simpsons reg for 20 or 30 d’s just once
Instead of one offs or part timers
Squeaky voiced teen was great and cheap
The skins are horrible 100 plus d’s for skins is shocking
To charge that much is wrong
10 20 d’s is what they should be
I think I’ll wait until Valentines Day to decide if he’ll be added.
The only other one premium offer I have been wavering on is The Happy Sumo combo with Akira.
I started the game too late for Kumiko or even the Three-Eyed Sushi Stand which [at least, culturally] blend together.
Is he the cheapest premium solo character to date?
No… Squeaky Voiced Teen is the best at 30 donuts, then the price goes to 60 for Kearney so that would make him the second best priced.
I’ll probably wait until after the Christmas event. I’m reserving my donuts to limited time items for the upcoming (assumed) Thanksgiving and Christmas events. I’m somewhat hoping they would bring back ‘The Yes Man’ as he would go well with this character since one of his jobs is a Maître d’ after all. “Eeeee-yyesssss?”

A 50 donut premium character that’s voiced? You bet I picked him up! I didn’t think those kinds of deals existed anymore. Still can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on Jimbo or Sherry & Terry, though. Any news about a Thanksgiving event possibly dropping tomorrow?

I’m not a completist and haven’t bought many premium characters, but I got this one right away for two reasons – it’s voiced and the two long tasks are both outdoor. So he adds some real zing to the visual of the town even though he’s not interactive after the initial quest. The falling down 12-hour task is just plain funny. Okay, to me. 50 donuts for a premium character was also relatively inexpensive. I earned those donuts free visiting friends over the course of a month.
