Well…Black Friday has come and gone and Gil is still sticking around! Why? Well because today is Cyber Monday, and what better way to get the holiday season going than with Ole’ Gil taking a bunch of your donuts!
So what’s he offering this time? Well…for a limited-time (ie today, Monday 12/1, only) you can purchase Truckasaurus! Truckasaurs is a premium decoration for your Springfield.
Now I’m sure you’re wondering…”is this something I should take Gil up on? Or am I better off saving my donuts for something better?” Well…before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this robotic beast to YOUR Springfield!
Decoration: Truckasaurus
Cost: 225 donuts
Size: 12×6
Bonus %: 4.75% on all cash and XP
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +400
Unique: Yes, only 1 per Springfield.
Pros
-It looks cool
-Animated when tapped
-Offers a nice bonus%
Cons
-HUGE. At 12×6 this thing is MASSIVE! Can be hard to fit into your Springfield
-Doesn’t actually “eat” or crush the car
-Insanely expensive for what it is/does
-Only improves Vanity, one of the easiest Conform-O-Meter requirements to max out
-No character interaction with it. No quests.
Final Thought:
This is basically a less expensive version of the whale. It’s cool to have in Springfield, but it doesn’t do much…and is crazy expensive. While it offers a nice bonus %…it’s hard to see that overcoming just how massive it is. With space tight in many Springfields it can be difficult to find the right space to put Truckasaurus. So in my opinion…unless you have a TON of donuts to burn or you just LOVE Truckasaurus…this one is a pass. With Christmas right around the corner you’re better off saving your donuts for those limited time items then blowing a large chunk of them on this 1 decoration (even if it is cool).
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you this is one I plan on passing on. I don’t own a whale and I don’t need a robot taking up a ton of space in my already crowded Springfield. Just remember…whatever you decide this IS Limited-Time so be sure to make your decision before Gil leaves Springfield on at 0800GMT on Tuesday 12/2!

Like all premium decorations, I’ll leave it. One of my neighbours is bound to buy it, so I’ll just enjoy it from a far….and for free.

I’m do sad.😭 I d”so wanted thanksgiving to be a small but good theme, playing almost 2 yrs.This is by far the worst ever. I so wanted old item I wasn’t able to get or so most wanted items. I hope EA hears us. I have no problems spending $. But only if there’s land & cool stuff to blow my $. I hated what they offer. I hope Xmas is better than halloween/ or thanksgining. I will NOT give em an of my sprinkles unless it’s something great, Please give us more land!! I still luv this game & play it daily but I so want more than they offer.
Keep in mind it was NOT an event. I am actually in SHOCK all they offered. More than any before. TONS more.

The original Robosaurus was built in 1989 and did the monster truck circuit.
The Simpsons parodied Truckasaurus (parody means no copyright infringement) in Bart the Daredevil in 1990 and put it in Simpson’s Hit n Run.

Things like truckasaurus have been around much longer than Pawn Stars has even thought about existing.
Gotta remember guys/gals: a LOT of the people who play this game are super young, and it seems like most of the youngsters I know tend to forget that stuff happened and existed before they were born… Never underestimate the naiveness and egocentrism of children. 🙂 -MuMpY-
You know what? This thing I just impulsively bought (but which looks so cool) just makes me remember why I hate Gil so much. Well, at least, now it’s there, better make the best of it…
I was pretty drunk when I got home last night. I went to play and bought enough doughnuts to get it immediately without thinking. Granted my OCD would have forced me to do it anyway. I have a section in my Springfield where all my sports and Duff stuff go. I’ll have to rearrange a bit but think he’ll look good there. Granted he should crush the car for that price.
And by the way I love my whale.

I ponied up for Truckasaurus and I love it. But then again I’m very selective about what I purchase – my multiplier reflects that as its about 26%. I think maybe people get upset having spent donuts on things in the past and having remorse about it. Nothing wrong with having an opinion, but people get pretty worked up over what’s essentially just a 24 hour option – tomorrow’s a new day with new opportunities.
I enjoy the game more when I’m selective about what I spend donuts on, only getting what I know I really want.
