Again, you have plenty of time for these tasks. The 24 hour timer starts as soon as you being the first task. You can still complete the tasks past the 24 hour time, but you will NOT get the bonus 100 Gifts. So I suggest plan ahead to hit the timer BEFORE 24 hrs if you need those Extra Bonus 100 Gifts Each day.

I did start Ned before Lisa, I only spaced them out about 10 mins. or so.
I did get the purple house reward but I am down gift bonus and the elf. I hope I understood this but I think on other past tunnels I was shorted my compound lights as well?!
This is 1st time for any kind of errors or issues (Thank Goodness! LOL)
I will consider myself lucky. I tried force close as well as Orgin restart etc.
I will call E A and hope for the best…

I sent Lisa on her 4 hour task to complete tunnel 7 but when the 4 hours were up it showed that she still had to complete this. I only had 5 hours left on the tunnel so I had to use donuts 🙁 Has this happened to anyone else?
Also Krysty’s 12 hour task is stuck in my task book. No matter how many time I’ve completed it it just stays there. I wasn’t sure where to post that one.
Try going to Krustyland and coming back. Sometimes that helps clear it out.
If not…contact EA and let them know. They should be able to remove it for you.
Did she complete it as the same time as Ned’s task?

Just wanted to double check with you on this, I have completed tunnel 7 late this morning and received my purple house lights, but no extra elf and no extra presents.
I haven’t noticed anyone else with this issue…as of yet, but tunnel 7 is closed and pretty sure I should be at 12 lil elves?

You start with 4….plus the 7 tunnels is 11. If you got the one from the daily bonus then that’s another 1..so it should be 12 total as of right now (with the bonus).
Double check to make sure it’s not in the workshop making presents…
If not contact EA and let them know what happened…they should be able to replace it for you.
BTW thanks for posting the Tunnel info so quickly. It really helps. Keep on rockin’ in the TSTO world.
Just spent over 3 million game $’s to get 3 donuts so I can rush Lisa’s 12hr quest task. Forgot I needed to send her on the 4hr Tunnel 7 task before the 24hrs is up. I knew those kids should have waited ’til after 8am to pet elves. No good can come from kids being out & about after 3am. Is 100 presents worth 2 donuts @ over 1 million $’s apiece? Good thing I had $23 million+ fat stacks socked away. (Must stop making these quick decisions when I’m tired & before I take time to think things through.)
As a freemium player, no amount of donuts is worth speeding up a task. The exception might be at the end of an event if needed to prevent a prize from being lost. As for presents, they seem pretty easy to come by and it’s early in the game, so i wouldn’t use donuts to speed them up.
One more thing that I realized today: as with any other quest task, you can send more people than is needed (i.e., you need to send 5 youngsters for the first part of the task but you can send every kid if you want to) BUT it’s not always a good idea to do that because the task won’t clear until EVERYONE is done. I sent 7 kids on the task and then had one more become available an hour later, so I sent him too. The first 7 kids completed at about the same time and even though I have met the ‘requirement’ of 5 youngsters, I have to wait an extra hour for my last kid to finish before I can start Part Two (Ned making sweaters).
I am still clearing out some tasks related to recent purchases and I had a laugh that Jimbo had the option to do both a child’s task (today’s “pet an elf”) and also an adult task from my other questline. It just made me laugh since Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney are so nebulous in their age… they’re seen at the elementary school and regularly beat up Bart, but they were also the Kamp Krusty counselors, and Kearney even has a kid! 🙂
Kinda random, but I like the idea that we’re ALL kids at Christmas! 😉
For some reason I can’t get into my Elf Tunnel anymore. I’m on day 7 and the kids have finished their quest but I can’t get into the tunnel to proceed further. Anyone else have this problem.

How do I send the feds to my neighbors towns? It says tap the feds button but I don’t have a feds button on my screen? Am I missing something? Please help!!!!!!!

Bunny how does it work with you getting 2 prize options? I’ve only ever seen one. Is there a danger in having old Christmas stuff stored or not having Christmas lights activated for certain houses that you got in previous years?

Here’s what a few things you can expect. As seen in files by multiple sites of fans who don’t hide info from the fans. Tiny spoilers that gamers want.

Just so you know…we DON’T hide info from fans. We instead wait to see how it will play out in the game. There have been countless times when someone said something was coming..and it wasn’t or it didn’t. Then people come to us asking where it is.
Instead we post what’s IN the game…and what you should be focusing on. You never know what EA might do between now and the next release of stuff. They can change their mind at anytime.
For example…today we’re seeing LOTS of people asking where the Ice Castle is. Well…we didn’t post it here because it’s NOT in the game yet. Other sites posted it…and all it does is cause chaos and confusion when it doesn’t hit the game. Because people think their game is broken.
We see into the files too, we know what’s coming. However, we prefer to wait and see how it hits the game so we can give our players the best most accurate information there is. Instead of things that may or may not hit…

This will be a tight day for lower level players, with only Lisa and Milhouse as Youngsters. First task will take 12h and then add another 4h for Ned and 4h for Lisa… 🙁
Anyone have luck storing the Flanders’ house? I have Ned snowmobiling with the boys and the game crashes if I try to store it to free him up for today’s task. That’s what I get for trying to play before my morning coffee. Worse case, I’ll just have to get up in the middle of the night to complete the last task for my bonus presents.

Try a hard close and restart your device, see if that clears it up.

Any information on the mysterious “Feds button?” I cleared Feds from my Springfield, but that was the end of it. Is there a quest line for this I haven’t seen yet? Thanks.
Feds will appear after you progress through the questline (I believe it’s part 9). Then you can start leaving them for neighbors. This post should help 🙂

Indeed TSTO is saving december for me 🙂 this is my first christmas event so i also bought santa homer and yep first task is a 24 hours task lol. He will be tired when this event is over lol. Thx to you i found a new second game. It involves a certain stone age family 😉

Is anyone else having problems with the second part of the elf tunnel part 7 task…my tunnel will not open to let me start it. The children finished part 1 but now the tunnel won’t open?
I’m having the same issue. However, I noticed that the next character has the task highlighted with out me having to go into the tunnel. So if you check the list you’ll see that Flanders gets the next task. So go to Flanders in your town and click on him. The task should be highlighted.
I know it’s frustrating because it’s not working (and like I said I’m going through it too)…but while we dig into it with EA, at least you can still complete the tasks 🙂
Same thing here (on other tunnels). I just kept going back and forth in/out of the task until it opened.
I figured out the bug with the tunnels. If you don’t hard close the game (swipe so it’s completely closed on your device) it has a bug updating the tunnel tasks. Once I hard closed and reopened the tunnel tasks were working fine again.
I have a Theory…
“Do you wanna hear my theory” (sorry, was just commenting on a post regarding how “Baby it’s cold outside is more” of a holiday song than certain songs from Frozen)
anyway my theory for players that send all their characters away on tasks at once, if you put ned on his “make cheery sweater task” first so that he is the task that triggers the system notification, and then wait until 10/15 mins later to send lisa on her “make musical instruments” the tasks should be able to overlap. EA allowed us to do this before. like with Moe’s 1.5 day task during EAster, or almost every sacred parchment task during stonecutters
Sometimes it works…sometimes it doesn’t. But always worth a shot 🙂

And the answer is YES.
If in the future(which this looks to be the only day it is allowable as of right now…) a tunnel task is a regular christmas task for one of your character, you CAN indeed overlap them to save time
Just be sure to clear them in the correct order, or the second task might not count.

I can’t store Flanders !!
Like a dummy I put Flanders on the snowmobile first thing and when I try to store the snowmobile or the Flanders house, the game crashes !!!
If I have Lisa already doing/finishing her task when Flanders finishes his, will that count for the third task?

It’s hard to say. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s worth a shot though!
As far as the crashing? Is that a constant thing? Or just started? If it just started try hard closing TSTO and restart your device. That should (hopefully) clear up the crashing issue.
Crashing has not been an issue lately so I believe it is related to the snowmobile task.
I will try the force stop.
If not, I will still be able to get all the tasks done in time.
I just like being able to finish them ASAP in case something else happens

Yea they’re not linked to it…because the mini golf came with V-Day 2013 before Rod and Todd hit the games.

I’m happy that they are not using Homer as much…now I can get him to do those darn super long quest tasks!
Maybe I’m just behind the times, but I just noticed that Santa now has a 4 hour task for making presents. This might be old news since I haven’t checked him since the Christmas update first hit and his task list was blank, but he now has a 4 hour task that earns presents. He still doesn’t appear in the “find a character” button, but if you manually click on him, it’s there. Again, sorry if it’s old news. I might have missed that post =)

How does the “OR” works for Prize Options? Can I choose?
Unfortunately not. You get the first prize. If you already have the first prize then you get the second prize. No choosing…EA does it for you.
Somebody at EA apparently slipped up and missed giving Homer a cave task today. Seems like he’s been backed-up forever between outside quests and cave tasks. Hard for a freemium player to get him available for anything anymore. Hope he gets a break after the holidays.
Also, I’d like to thank you for all of your insights into the game, especially regarding timing. Knowing in advance how long things will take makes it so much easier to plan the daily events and have the right characters ready when they’re needed. It really is very much appreciated.

I have just opened tunnel 7. I don’t need Homer today so have sent him on his 16 hour plant shift task. Have managed to complete each tunnel in time & collected the bonus prize. Only managed to play 3 times yesterday as I was on a Christmas shopping trip for the day & still managed to complete within 24 hrs. No pressure this time am collecting at a steady pace. Thanks for your help & information.
