Hey Howdy Hey My Elfish Tappers!
Well….unless you’ve been caught in a major snowstorm you know that Christmas has arrived in Springfield! A light snow is falling & Santa has arrived in town! By now we’re all busy sending those elves and residents to the workshop to make presents!
With this event EA is repeating a similar prize structure to what they did for Halloween, only more prizes, and releasing the event (and prizes) in stages. For the first phase, which lasts until Christmas Eve (12/24), you can win 8 prizes by collecting Presents. The second prize awarded at 1200 Presents is Frosty the Hitman.
Let’s take a closer look at this chilly details of this killer snowman & just what happens when he enters your Springfield…
WARNING Mild Dialogue Spoilers Ahead
Once you’ve collected 1200 Presents Frosty the Hitman will automatically be awarded to you and you’ll see this popup:
Much like Friendship Prizes, if you’re visiting a neighbor when you hit the 1200 Presents mark this message will still popup and Frosty will be waiting for you in your inventory once you get back to your Springfield.
Frosty the Hitman will be placed in your inventory, so you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it. Just tap on the “use” icon to place it in your Springfield:
Frosty is a character, and although he’s an NPC you will still get a character message that pops up for him:
And he’s part of the Winter 2014 Character Collection Set:
After you’ve placed him some dialogue will appear & a very short task (involving YOU not Frosty). Here’s the full rundown:

Wiggum: Frosty the HItman?! I thought they gave you the chair for murdering Ebenezer Scrooge.
Frosty: I cut a plea deal with the D.A. Told her how they were smuggling back tar heroin on the Polar Express.
Wiggum: Nice, Frosty. Well, stay “frosty.” Heh heh.
Frosty: Everybody makes that same joke. And then I kill them.
Completed Task Earns 100 Presents 10xp
So here’s the deal with Frosty:
-An NPC for Springfield
-No quests or tasks
-Part of the Winter 2014 Character Collection
-He is animated when tapped.
So that about covers all the details on this chilly hitman!

I have been locked out of the elves workshop since last night. TSTO started glitching around midnight EST. when I tap the elves door, nothing happens. I can’t complete my daily task from yesterday. Please help or advise? Thanks

I think he’s pretty cool…but I do wonder if he’ll melt once winter’s finished.
That robotic Santa – is that the reward for completing all the tunnels? Kinda reminds me of killer Santa from Futurama. Btw. just received the Festive Light Plunger and it does what ppl here wanted – possibility to use all the Christmas decorations and then hide them all by one hit of the switch. Cool function, in addition to the bell that collects gifts from all the elves.
Guess you’ll have to wait and see. 😉
Generally not a fan of NPCs (with some exceptions) and this one doesn’t seem all that Simpsons-y to me, but I do think his animation and the accompanying sound are kinda neat. I’ll leave him to roam during the event, but he’ll being going into inventory for sure afterwards.
I’m upset that the character is useless and he doesn’t do anything. An animation and a sound is boring. Its too bad they don’t let you sell him for donuts lol

He’s scary and ugly.
I don’t like him. I think to myself, what does he have to do with the Simpsons and do I really want him walking around after the winter.
Though this is my first TSTO xmas event, I appreciate that so far the gifts we’ve earned are functional. I just unlocked the plunger today and found that it’s utility will be nice once the holiday season is over and people are ready to take down lights (I may leave mine up all year and be THAT person you have in your neighborhood). Also the work bell is a nice functional touch.
