Hey All You Merry Grumples! šŸ˜›

Here we are again with the Elf Tunnels aka Santa Daily Tasks.

Santa 1

If you want ALL the details for Santa’s Daily Tasks aka Elf Tunnels (including Character Groups), please go to the MAIN Santa Daily Tasks Post.

Now for today’s Santa Daily Task.Ā Just tap on the Elf Tunnel itself to be taken to all available Tasks.

Or tap on the Santa Daily Tasks Shortcut Icon in the top right corner of your Springfield.Ā Santa's Daily Tasks Icon

Santa's Daily Tasks

Remember, if you have a task “stuck” or can’t get the next Tunnel to open try to go to Krustyland/Neighbors and back. Or exit out of game then go back in again. (It won’t let you start the new task until the other one is complete, this means to make sure ALL the money and items are collected.)

Here is today’s Santa Tasks.

Tunnel Task Length Character/Group
9 MakeNed Have a Festive Sing Song with the Elves 6hrs Ned Flanders
MakeĀ Milhouse Make Dolls 4hrs Milhouse
MakeĀ Springfielders Make Toys 4hrs (x5) Springfielders (Whoever can currently make toys in your town)Ā
24 Hour Complete Bonus Prizes Options (The Game only picks ONE to give you)
100 Gifts Blue House Christmas Decorations OR Destroyed Holiday Wheel, 1 Elf Ā Blue house Christmas Decorations
Ā Destroyed Holiday Wheel

Again, you have plenty of time for these tasks. The 24 hour timer starts as soon as you being the first task. You can still complete the tasksĀ past the 24 hour time, but you will NOT get the bonus 100 Gifts. So I suggest plan ahead to hit the timer BEFORE 24 hrs if you need those Extra Bonus 100 Gifts Each day.

There you have it. A general idea of what to anticipate for the Elf Tunnel Santa Daily Tasks. Have YOU completed any yet? Get the Bonus? What do you think of it all so far? Like the gifts? Let us know below.

  1. I won the broken wheel, but can’t find it in my town. I am on tunnel 16 but just realized I never got the wheel ( it is pictured in tunnel 9). What gives???

  2. For my fellow Tappers who recieved the Destroyed Holiday Wheel,
Nice to see EA acknowledge the fact Tappers hated the Wheel Based Holiday Quests (most of us did – especially me during Valentines and Easter)

To the junkyard with it (except we don’t have a junkyard in Springfield) šŸ™‚

  3. I have a questions that you’re going to hate me for but I’m just getting the hang of this, and trying to learn the best way I know….. Which unfortunately is you guys / gal’s lol seriously you do a magnificent job helping us doughnut brains, anyways ….When I add a “friend”, when they go into my town or vice-versa does it take money away from them? Example say my blue house has a $ sign above it if I don’t clear it and someone else comes along and clicked on my building, do they get the cash or can I still click on it and receive the cash also and it’ll reset just like usual? Or is it first to grab it gets it? I don’t want to take people’s money that they are waiting for and like wise.

    • No worries. Happy to help. šŸ™‚

Neighbor visits are a separate payout. They don’t impact you or you them. The $ they get is a set amount. They still collect same rent when they go back and clear the handshake from your tap on their building. Same as in your town. šŸ™‚

  4. Just curious what time do the new tunnels open? Also two times in the last half hour I’ve gotten the “cannot connect to server screen”, is anyone else getting this?

  5. It cracks me up that many want the broken wheel that we hated so much back then. I guess sometimes we do not forget the pain, and need a memorial of dishonor to heal. Hats off to EA for their sense of humor. Mine will go in a very tightly secured gated area next to the cemetery to ensure no future escape…

  6. I just unlocked the destroyed wheel. I feel bad for those who are not able to get it because the dialogue was really funny. Especially since those wheels were hated so much lol. Hopefully you guys can post it somewhere so everyone can have a good laugh even if they are unable to get the destroyed wheel.

I completed the tunnel and didn’t get lights on my blue houses, or the broken wheel. I tried going out of the game and back in,but still no luck.

    • Did you make sure all the check marks were tapped? Is the task still in the task menu list? If so, tap it. Did you see a pop up of the won items?

  8. I didn’t win the blue house lights last year and I hated that wheel…. Wish I could have the broken wheel insteadšŸ˜„….

  9. i started my toy makers before milhouse finished his task. stacking tunnel tasks has worked for me before, it just reduces the amount of time you have to wait. this time i’ve got 5 springfielders tied up for 4 hours and not contributing to the actual task! curses!

  10. There, I feel better now.
The shattered wheel is where it belongs.
At the base of Satan’s Anvil.
… not that I held a grudge or anything.

  11. Am I the only one receiving the house decor instead of the wheel ;-;

  12. Thanks for posting this information. Without it, I couldn’t complete these tasks in 24 hours. Today’s tasks are going to be difficult to do unless I stay up really really really late.

  13. My tunnel 9 will not open up! šŸ™

  14. Destroyed Holiday Wheel-
    ‘Most cathartic prize EVER’
    -Jeff Albertson

  15. There will be a deep, deep satisfaction felt by me when I place that destroyed holiday prize wheel in my town…

  16. Hey guys another question or two. Do you think the church that you get when you accomplish getting thirty-five thousand presents, you think that this church is the same as the church you need to “Buy”, in the “Passion of Flanders” quest? Maybe I can get out of spending money if it’s the same. Lol.. Also I think I’ve been cheated or ignorance on my part… I don’t think that I’m getting my bonus of one hundred presents for completing the tasks in the tunnels on time, which I am, and I’m thinking it’s that do you have to click on the “thumbs up” icon in order to get your hundred presents or does the game know that you completed the tasks in the time allowed and automatically gives them to you? Or do you think you have to click on the icon to show the task had been completed, What do you guy’s / gal’s think?

    • It is the Church of Springfield. Where Lovejoy comes from in the game. It is just a skin for it. Yes you have to tap the thumb, that is the only way to trigger the completion. You HAVE to get the pop up stating its done or no bonus.

      • **** ok well that makes since. Thank-you vdry much, always appreciate it. One other thing remember that calendar “Em”made the one that was prorated from the I think the 5th to the twenty third of December, for the people who might have gotten off to a slower start than others is that still available?

        • It is most likely in the comments on the Calendar. Basically…just take 14,000 and divide it by how many days you are playing. That will tell you an average daily amount. BUT…the way EA set up this event, things change and add daily to make earning gifts easier. Math post for all this explaining it more in detail will be up in the AM. šŸ˜‰

      • Ok Thank-you.

  17. Woo-hoo!!!

I hated that ***** wheel last year, so I’ll be looking forward to getting that broken wheel tomorrow.

  18. Won’t let me access tunnel 10. Says to wait another day but I have the first 9 tunnels done and complete and that part is checked off. I have gone to Krustyland and neighbors and logged out and back in and nothing worked.

  19. Is anyone else just getting the housing decorations everyone… Is there any way to get the cooler stuff or am I just getting bad luck..

  20. Love the broken wheel! I did get all of the prizes last year on the wheel in my A game, but it came down to the wire. Was not so lucky in my B or C games, but luckily I did get the blue house decoration in all of them. I can see those who really dislike the wheel from last year and didn’t win the blue house will really be fuming now!

I actually disliked the prize boxes from Easter more, as no matter what I did, the Blocko Store and Sherri Bobbins did not make it into any of my towns. I had to break down and spend donuts on more boxes to win Father Sean, but wasn’t willing to do the same for the other missed prizes as it took 100 donuts before I got Father Sean.

    • I am one who failed to get the blue house lights last year on the wheel… now the Wheel will continue to haunt me as I will not have the satisfaction of placing the Destroyed Holiday Wheel (yet).

As a side note: I feel like the DHW would be even more satisfying if sitting on a heep of smashed boxes and broken baskets.

    • For some reason the wheel wasn’t that bad for me, not like the darn easter prizes. Who ever decided to make 3 premium currencies, one of which could only be won by random chance after spending the other currencies is a terrible person. Just a horrible idea and I’m sure one that cost them a number of players.

  21. Question. If Milhouse and my Springfielders are making presents at the same time, how do I collect Milhouse first? All the thumbs will pop at once when I tap them. I don’t have Town Hall, if that’s how you do it.

    Thanks,

    • You can try that way, yes. But it does not always work.

    • I’ve overlapped the timing and it’s worked consistently. But you have to collect the first finished task BEFORE the others are done. So my usual practice for a day like today, for example, is to start Milhouse on his task and wait about an hour before starting the rest of the Springfielders on theirs. Then I just make sure to check into my game after Milhouse is done but before the rest of the Springfielders are.

The choice of an hour is arbitrary — it could be as little as a couple minutes — but I like to build some slack into the timing, just in case I’m busy with something else.

      • I see, just be sure that Milhouse finishes his task first and be there to collect it before the others finish theirs. All in the timing!

        Thanks,

      • Addendum: After a character finishes their task (Milhouse in this case) and collected the reward, you need to open up the ‘Santa Tasks’ queue (clicking that icon in the upper right corner) to register/unlock the new task quest, even though you have other peeps already working on them.

I have three games running, and one in which I just accepted Milhouse’s results but didn’t re-open Santa’s task list ended up with no credit towards the goal. Fortunately it was still early in the day, so I could send everybody back to work on making toys before the deadline.

Another tip: Another thing I do because I’m a nightowl is I check on my games at the turnover time (1am Mountain zone for me) and start whatever is first in the tunnel series of tasks for the day. Some days, like when it’s been a 6 hour task or longer, it’s saved me from possibly missing on the deadline.

    • Go through the elf tunnel. When Milhouse is done there should be a “go to” button for him.
