Hey there holiday tappers! Howzit? So TSTO is officially in White Christmas mode and the snow is a’falling. I don’t know about you but I love my town covered in snow. As a Southern California resident, I like the snow I can oooh and aaah over without being cold or shoveling it. Of course with a brand new event comes brand new stuff to chat about. My favorite part is of course re-watching Simpsons episodes and then sharing with you just where THAT comes from. For this edition, let’s take a look at Frosty the Hitman.
Once you acquire 1200 presents in the game (the second Part 1 prize), this beauty is yours. Sure he’s just a NPC but right when I saw this guy I was immediately in nerd love. Not only is he an obvious parody of Wolverine (0ne of my favorite comic book characters… just finished reading his four part death series btw), it’s actually a new character from a recent Simpsons episode. I guess it must also be said that he’s a parody of a once popular video game called “Hitman”. Anywho… Let’s head on over to “White Christmas Blues” (S25:E8).
Bunny wrote an entire episode recap on this last year so I won’t bore ya with another one (if you’re interested, just click the link) but let’s just say a micro climate aberration and global warming has resulted in Springfield being the only city in the U.S. with “snow”. The end result is thousands of tourists flocking there to be gouged and The Simpsons turning their home into a boarding house.
The family room becomes a kids club and we see one of the boarders playing a familiar game… Frosty the Hitman.
Simple premise for a game. Frosty kills Ebenezer Scrooge, King Herod and the Grumple. Next, he’s on to rampage the Endless Christmas Specials. The whole gag really is a set-up to show off all the titles of these films. Bunny listed some of them in the episode recap. Pretty funny stuff.
BONUS: This episode also has a special Christmas couch gag including an appearance by the Candy Cane Cooling Towers and another interesting bit involving a candy cane. Don’t worry Otto… the sugar will wear off eventually.
And that’s it my friends. Our second prize for Christmas and I personally love it. I’ve honestly tapped him one too many times to see his adamantium rage. Y’all stay classy… snickty snickty.

I think I must be showing my age, but before I clued into Wolverine, my first thought on seeing this character was a parody of Freddy Krueger. 🙂
Just a difference between comic/X-men nerds and others. I get the Freddy idea but he only had one glove lol.
Makes it enjoyable having characters roam around as it add to the personality of your Springfield. Would still like them to have at least 1 task though.
