Here we are again with the Elf Tunnels aka Santa Daily Tasks. ARE WE THERE YET?

Now for today’s Santa Daily Task.Ā Just tap on the Elf Tunnel itself to be taken to all available Tasks.
Or tap on the Santa Daily Tasks Shortcut Icon in the top right corner of your Springfield. (It usually wiggles when a new task comes available/one is completed.
Remember, if you have a task “stuck” or can’t get the next Tunnel to open try to go to Krustyland/Neighbors and back. Or exit out of game then go back in again. (It won’t let you start the new task until the other one is complete, this means to make sure ALL the money and items are collected.)
If you are missing Elves, see post HERE. (Just try to go in n out of Krustyland then ring the Elf Bell first to see if the missing ones appear.)

Again, you have plenty of time for these tasks. The 24 hour timer starts as soon as you beginĀ the first task. You can still complete the tasksĀ past the 24 hour time, but you will NOT get the bonus 100 Gifts. So I suggest plan ahead to hit the timer BEFORE 24 hrs if you need those Extra Bonus 100 Gifts Each day.

I am stuck on honking Bart skateboarding. I tried and tried and it is my last task before going into phase two. How do I get that task unlock to perform it.

Not sure if this happened for anyone else but i got the ice god instead of the boat decorations. Started playing in October so tgis is my first Springfield Christmas.
The game will select the first one always. If you have it, it gives the second. Ice God was first.
I’m surprised this wasn’t mentioned as a tip when completing this tunnel as the addict team is pretty good about these little things š thanks for all you guys do … after you send your Springfielders to complain about elves, wait a couple of minutes and then send Bart to skateboard, both tasks take 4 hours, so you kill two birds with one stone, just make sure you tap on town hall first and activate the second task before tapping on Bart … this will make the tunnel only 12 hours instead of 16 š
We have mentioned the “early starts” many times throughout. The issue is the majority of these Tunnels had “hidden” tasks that you could not use the feature on. The ones you could, like this, were far and few between. š
Why is my Springfield missing? Something about workshop and water melting? My squid port is gone. Krusty land gone. … however.. I was buidling the diner, a lot late in my game I might add and it advised me it’s finished bit it’s not there….. is this just part of the story? I’m freaking out bc nothing worse then wasted invested time… thanks
Not sure what you are saying here. Did your game reset to level one? Or something else happen. If it reset…

Hi there, do you know what is the deadline for completing the last tunnel to get the special character? I am away over the weekend…can I complete on Monday?
We do not. I assume as long as it is prior to Phase 2 launching.
My friend’s towns no longer give me presents since yesterday, only FP and money. Neither via Feds or by clicking houses. Anyone else with this problem?
It should only stop once you hit your MAX gifts. If it continues beyond that, alert EA.
Nope, I’m not at 14000 yet, only 12822. Maybe the neighbor’s presents stop after a certain number to force the player to work in his own town?
They shouldn’t. YOUR actions are not impacted by your neighbors. They are completely separate. So if it is “broke” contact EA to fix it. š

Boy, that must have been so frustrating! Sorry to hear that. Oh, well… If you only lose out on one tunnel, you should still be in good shape, present-wise, so I guess the best thing to do is to just put it behind you and carry on! š (That’s what I had to do when I lost the bonus yesterday because EA’s servers weren’t down, so I can relate.)
It is but I’m still in good shape for all the presents… I could have stayed sleep lol…. I’m going to have to set the alarm clock tonight since Willie still has 6 hours left and I have 8 hours total left
Another long day? :/ I haven’t started either of the last two day’s worth of quests, I guess this one’s going to wait too. I hope I get everything, I know I have through the 23rd but I don’t even have 10K yet. Doesn’t help that I woke up to no feds this morning which I’m convinced is a bug – it hasn’t been every morning, but it’s not the first time either. *whine whine whine*
It’s not to say I’m not enjoying the event, I really am. They really did try incorporate the things that went over well in previous events, and for the most part they’re succeeding. I wish more of the prizes were tangible items though, and had I known now that the Ice God was coming back as a winnable prize, I never would’ve bought it during that yard sale. *whine*
Long-day tunnels are easily doable if you start them at the right time. For example, I’m doing today’s 16-hour tunnel by starting the first 4-hour task at a little after noon, the next 4-hour task a little after 8pm, then letting the final 8-hour task complete overnight, so all I’ll have to do is wake up anytime before noon (not a problem š) and tap to complete!
Tunnel 16(?), the 18-hour tunnel, was best started before bed (6-hour task, IIRC), then the remaining 12 hours could be completed the next day. It would have worked fine, except that EA’s servers were down they didn’t come back up in time to complete the tunnel on time, which meant that I missed a tunnel bonus for the very first time. It was a little annoying and I still think they should have reset the tunnel clocks to account for their outage, since it was beyond our control to finish the tunnel on time, but I guess we’ll just have to suck it up as just one of those things in an otherwise pretty enjoyable event.
So, bottom line, with a little forethought and the wonderful tunnel guides on this site, it’s all quite doable, without having to forgo sleep! š

I was on another account of mine and saw that the parking spot is missing, did they get rid of it? Because its usually in the beginning of the decorations list and its not there anymore to buy. Is this a glitch or did they get rid of them???
No it should still be there. As long as you’re past the intro of the game check your build menu under the icon with the bench and tree or if you expand it the icon with Lady Justice. You should see it’s still there.
If it’s not…contact EA and let them know.
Looking forward to the weekend so that I can work on the past three tunnels. I haven’t started them because I couldn’t complete them within the 24 hr window. Am I better off going for the 100 gift bonus instead of the extra days with the extra elves that I would have accumulated?
Depends on how far back you are. For 1 elf to give you 100 presents you’d have to work him for 100 hours…or 25 shifts. (about 4 days straight if you change it every 4 hrs exactly). Personally…I think the 100 presents is better in the short term š
This is my first Christmas event so I’m happy to get whatever gifts the game gives me. So far, I’ve only not gotten one of the bonus 100 gifts. I should be done with the entire first part of the event tomorrow. š
Dead Horse.. I know. But what should I do if I am not getting any Feds sent over to my town? I looked around the last couple of posts as I have seen other people ask this question but couldnt find the answer.

I got tired of sending my various townsfolk on their myriad of tasks for the next few hours, so after I sent Santa and toy makers to shop, I sent everyone else to complain about elves. I only have Hugo and Matt wandering off on their own tasks. Even my Barbarian Homer decided to participate when he usually opts out of most other generic townspeople’s tasks.
Ok so like SkyNyx my orange house has no lights. They are in my inventory but say i must have the orange house to use the lights. I have about a dozen orange houses, could this be because i still have 2 building?
Try storing them ALL, log out, restart, log back in. place them back.

I’m honestly pretty stoked about getting more and more decorations as a kind of smaller daily reward. Decorations like Christmas lights turn somewhat boring buildings into a fun little addition to your town and add a little charm.
This deco begs to be put near Sanjay’s house, but I don’t have any room there right now. Guess I’ll need to do a little redecorating! Any good ideas as to where I should move the golden bull to?

Interesting! I love how different folks invent different “backstories” for how they set up different things in their towns. I’ve seen some really interesting, creative stuff in some of my friendvilles.
So I completed my tasks for yesterday to win the lights for the Orange house but the lights aren’t there at all. Is anyone else having this problem?
Try tapping on the orange house do you see an option to switch between 2 of them? Could just be the lights are deactivated.
Yes – that’s exactly it! I had the same problem and just finished a long troubleshooting call with EA and that’s what happened. I called because I hadn’t gotten the orange house lights or the elf. He gave me the orange house decorations and the showed up in my inventory, but, when I tried to use them, it told me I had to build an orange house first. I already had an orange house built (from a long time ago) and I had one under construction. I tried putting my orange house into inventory and back out, but that didn’t work. So he gave me the donuts to “rush” the one that was under construction (which still had another five hours to go, otherwise) and, voila!, the lights came on for both orange houses.
last two days I haven’t received any extra elves on completion of tasks. I currently have 21. Is there a maximum number of elves you can have?

Dang it! The ice god is the ONE thing that I didn’t get from the christmas wheel last year! THE ONE THING! And now because of it, I’ll miss out on a christmas decoration. Maybe I’ll have a chance to get it in the second part of the event… grumble grumble…

Well ur right, i like the ice god and I’m happy I’m finally going to get it, but i wanted that decoration too haha I WANT IT ALLšæšæ *evil look* I’m Not worried though, i know i’ll be able to get it somehow coz’ this game’s awesome ^_^
I was just thinking the same thing when I found out that the houseboat decoration was the alternate for the ice god. I had totally forgot the Ice god was on the wheel last year and before I read this post I was going to ask whether it was new or not. I guess the 2.25% bonus is enough to quell my disappointment of not getting the houseboat decorations. Is the decoration new?

If you don’t have the ice god you’ll get it. But it’s unique, so if you already have one you won’t get a second.
I have the houseboat, but no lights for it.
I will be VERY,VERY, VERY disappointed if I get lights instead of the Ice God !!
