Well Part 1 of TSTO Christmas is coming to an end very soon. And many of you should have completed your Elf Tunnel tasks over the weekend. Once you complete all 19 days of tasks you’ll be awarded Zutroy!
Zutroy is a Freemium character (since he’s awarded for free) BUT he earns at a Premium rate! And I know many of you are wondering just what this character has to do with Christmas…and in reality, nothing. BUT his questline is fun & has a great message at the end. One that I think is perfect for this time of the year…
So now that we’ve got Zutroy, let’s take a look at his questline & just what happens when he enters your Springfield…
Note: I know many of you are suffering from a lack of Zutroy in your Springfield right now. This is a known glitch with EA..and one they are working to resolve. For now you can try some of the basic troubleshooting (you never know…your situation might now be glitch related & could be something else)…and if those steps don’t work then contact EA and let them know you’re impacted too. Details for missing Zutroy can be found on this post.

Comic Book Guy: Once again I have fleeced an unwary customer. A comic book penned by that hack Jenkins is worth $1 at best. Now to read the news. Where I see Geoff Jenkins has died. And that he was the grandnephew of Pablo Picasso. Making any comic book he drew worth over $10,000?! I must now fall to my knees and scream in dramatic fashion. Noooo!

Quimby: Your building filled with lonely old men will be knocked down and replaced with a prison full of lonely young men. The prison will be run by a private corporation, National Punishment and Overcrowding, Inc. Since prisons are a highly lucrative growth industry, they’ve agreed to compensate you for your loss, to the tune of 100 million dollars.

Quimby: Er, um, a ten percent finder’s fee to the Mayor is customary.

Smithers: Mr. Burns, I’ve got a tip the nuclear regulators are on their way to shut the plant down for “so many violations even the NCAA was shocked.”
Mr. Burns: Well, time to unload this white elephant and retire to Tahiti for a life of rum drinks.
Smithers: My thong is ironed and ready, sir.
Mr. Burns: Zutroy, my boy! You’ve been an exemplary employee. How would you like to be in charge?
Zutroy: Tocnikrabda, Mistah Boorns.
Mr. Burns: I hear you’re in the money. For a mere 100 million dollars, the plant is yours.
Zutroy: Krabtoc?
Mr. Burns: So amusing. Sign here and the deal is done.
Make Mr. Burns Sell the Plant to Zutroy- 16hrs, Earns $500, 125xp

And that completes Zutroy’s Questline. A questline that won’t interfere too much with present collecting, so it’s something to keep you busy inbetween Elf Tapping!
Personally…I like this guy. It’s a free character for Springfield who earns at a premium rate. Not bad for those of you looking to increase your in game cash count! Plus, he’s got a couple of fun outdoor tasks. And in my opinion his qyestline is fun…it’s got a nice sentiment at the end, perfect for this time of the year!

I’m on level 38, I’ve completed all tasks to date, but cannot unlock the bachelors arms apartments for love nor money
What was the last building you built? Just because you’re on the Level doesn’t mean it will clear for you. You have to complete everything beforehand. So it could be something else blocking it.
I just built fat Tony’s compound, as far as I can see I’ve built everything I need to, but will keep on building, hopefully it will unlock
Fat Tony’s Compound is before you’ll get Kirk. You’re only at Level 28 in Game Play. You won’t get Kirk until Level 37. You’ve got to follow each level in game play before the buildings will unlock. You may Level Up quicker but if your game play is behind you won’t be able to unlock the buildings at those levels. These walkthroughs should help 🙂

Level 39, I have Zutroy (since lvl 32) and the “Who Wants to be a Billionare Pt 5” quest, but The Bachelor Arms building continues to remain locked in the store.
Waited for the new update thinking maybe it might fix, but no.
I see some others with the same issue. Am I missing something somewhere? Is this a known, self-fixable glitch or an EA issue?
All I can suggest is check the Walkthroughs. Make sure you didnt miss anything on your Game Play Levels for when Bachelor Arms was released into the game. Outside that, EA>
I got Zutroy, and I’m on level 40 but the Bachelor Arms Apartments are still locked. I’ve done everything for Zutroy following the quest line up til the apartments show up…any way to figure out why the apartments are still locked or how I can get them unlocked?
Are you focusing on your XP Level in the lower right corner? Or are you looking at your Game Play Level of walk throughs you’ve completed? XP is only there for points. Game Play determines where you are in the Game.
If you are still back on Level 33 game play…you need to progress to unlock the buildings offered on each level
How do I start the part 5. I cant get the apartment to unlock
You have to get your game play to level 37 and build the apartments. So, complete all walkthroughs for Levels 1-36 to get to 37

I doubt that they’ll ever release Maggie as a stand alone character. After all- she literally can’t stand on her own two feet (let alone walk around Springfield on her own). If anything- if they were to ever release Maggie as a stand alone, all of her tasks would have to be linked to another character.
I didn’t have any problems with Zutroy. I like the guy.

Just had an update…everything Christmas gone from the store! I don’t care, as I’ve bought everything I wanted, but I thought stuff was supposed to be around a little longer? Is this a glitch, or prep for part 2?
Items were limited time as they said. Getting ready for next phase.
New quest with Apu just hit my phone – Frankincense, Myrrh and Donuts Pt.1 – with donut symbol. Maybe some reward will come out of this quest.

Zutroy showed up right away, and I have him doing part 4 right now. It’s great that he pays at premium rate — with the price of new buildings now, everything helps!
This is definitely an odd prize for Christmas, though. I had convinced myself that everything in this event was leading toward Maggie being released as a playable character. The prize for 14K presents was the nativity scene, with an empty manger; and the prize for completing all the elf tunnels was an unnamed character. Put together, Maggie could fill the manger and be the new character won for completing all the tunnels! Of course, it would be better for Maggie to simply be released as part of a level update so that everyone who starts in the future, or who couldn’t play through the event, could also get her, but it was a nice dream while it lasted!
