UPDATE #2: Looks like EA sent another patch out to fix the lock out. So check your games and see if you can now log in. Be sure to claim your free gifts! (Extra gift if you have Duff Brewery.)
UPDATE: I know many of you are currently locked out of your games. It either refuses to sign in (Bart screen) or crashes before it loads. It’s happening to us too…and many other players. EA is currently closed for the holiday…but you should still report the issue (and continue trying). This way you can still get the gift after Christmas…hopefully.

It’s FINALLY Christmas Day and you know what that means……SANTA’S HERE!!!! You may notice things a little quiet around here today (you can always find the latest on the Christmas Update here), as the Addicts staff celebrates Christmas by tearing open packages, over indulging on Christmas cookies…oh and I guess spending time with our families too! 😉
Short Story Long… We are pre-occupied today and hope YOU are too. I think all of us need a day to step away and just relax, unwind, and enjoy those around us. So you won’t see much going on here. Your comments will sit in moderation. Pretty much it is going to be a quiet day on the Addicts sites while we….BRACE YOURSELVES…take a day off. SHOCKING I KNOW!!!
No worries, we promise all won’t be lost in a day. We always have our eyes and ears open. Even if you do not see or hear from us, does not mean we aren’t watching out for you. We will return in full force tomorrow with any changes and info you have come to expect from us. SO ENJOY THE SILENCE! Hey guys, first of all I hope each and every person on the Addicts team had a wonderful, merryChristmas yesterday! I have a slight concern… Last night, after finally being able to log back in, I sent Duffman on his quest to make his gift, but this morning after tapping his thumbs-up nothing happened. It doesn’t sound like I need Homer to trigger the rest (he’s at Duff Stadium yelling at the Ump), so could it be that I missed the Duff Beer Tree by timing? And would this be something to contact EA about? <=/ Thanks in advance for YOUR feedback XD
Not sure on that one. Usually Xmas items are a 24hr thing for that day only. However, it should have just popped up. NO task needed. It did that in my games. Just popped up.
I had a heck of a time waiting and being erroniously disconnected (entirely on my part) from the line for EA’s livechat multiple times, but the one time I got through they helped me and added it for me. Problem solved!
Ok, I have a jingle bells question! Are there any characters that work to get bells?? Not the task way. are all of the hands (friends visit) suposed to give out bells?? THANK YOU!!

I have the duff brewery and completed the task but didn’t get the tree. Really really frustrated with all the EA issues over the last two days as have also been charged for an ingame donut purchase that never materialised due to game crashing.
Good morning, I haven’t seen my issue posted yet. I can’t buy donuts from Gil, no matter what denomination I select my game crashes. I’m on a kindle fire (I take advantage of the Amazon coin discount to buy donuts) would this be an EA issue or an Amazon issue?

Could be either. Try to exit game, log out of app market. Restart device. Log back in to app market, relaunch TSTO, try again.

Love catching up on the Every Simpsons Christmas ever😜 incase some didn’t know it was playing (dish has been playing it on 240 in the evenings) just an fyi 😁.
Almost thought I lost my Christmas Simpsons. Updates started & my Christmas scene went away but came back after closing it out & jumping back in. THEN on 12/26 I played for a bit, stepped away & it started crashing out for about an hour or so. That’s when the panic set in lol, all is good now. I’m back on😎

What i’m saying is thanks for taking time out from Cmas to let us know what’s going on. Running a blog like this is great every other day of the year, but to haqve to maintain it on holidays has to be a real pain in the butt. So, Thanks much!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I was able to get into my Springfield late last night and so Duffman didn’t get done with his task until this morning. I did not get the tree so didbi have to finish the task yesterday to get it even though I was locked out?
Contact EA. Good idea to wait to the 9am – 9pm EST time to do so… that should trigger the “Call me” option.

I’m at max friends points but this happened to me 2 times yesterday, I clear a handshake on my elf cannon and I got a donut, yes it was in MY town. So far it’s only happened on the cannon. 😀

Since the update yesterday that fixed the connection problems, I’ve had two different countdowns in my game for part 2. The countdown in the prizes part (trophy sign, bottom right) indicates 18 days from today so the end will come on the 13th of January but the countdown on the guide part (question mark, bottom left) indicates 23 days so 18th of January…
Is that normal ? Which one is correct ?

Usually there are multiple things going on. At times, EA will shut down certain areas of an event at specific time. Like the event is still going, but phase 1 is shut down. So pay attention to each timer. The event itself looks to mainly shut down on the 13th. The other date, they may be giving a lil extra time to finish questlines. That, or they are looking to possible extend it due to issue. But…they are not even back from Holiday yet. Its only 7am there. So when they return, I am sure more clarification and patches will come our way.

I’m not sure if I’m a little slow or if there’s any kind of connection between the elf canon and our cute little North Pole sign. Professor Frink stated the canon shoots the elves to the North Pole for the Polar bears. We get a North Pole sign for collecting so many bells…. So I’m watching my town and several JARS smash before my eyes (giggle) and elves shoot out in different directions. Why am I giggling? Ironically those particular ones hit near my North Pole sign! Now is this a Frink joke and we are really shooting elves at each other because we now have posted North Pole signs? Which according to Nelson’s mother, for five dollars she could show us how useful that pole can really be. Or did we just confuse the canon?!?
