I bought his boatload+700 donut deal. It sounded too good to pass up! Unfortunately, I suppose I let those free 700 donuts go to my head…I have no more land to put new stuff on! Lol! Oh well, I’ll just keep hoping that we’ll get new land sometime in the future. 😊

I’ve been trying to buy donuts on and off between my Christmas activities but I got booted every time I’d try to purchase. I was traveling all day yesterday so could not contact EA, and today I can’t open the game at all. It’d be so much better if they’d eiither make the sale longer or not have most of it running when their support is closed. I have to give up now because I can’t possibly resolve all the issues in the next hour before I leave for appointments and work.
Never mind — I got a Christmas miracle just in time, I tried one last time to log in and everything worked – I got 10000 amazon coins for $70.00 and spent them on a boatload of donuts. So I got 3100 donuts for a $70.00 + tax, plus a bonus of 2500 Amazon coins. I’ll never buy donuts again, but these should last a good long time.
Yep they took my money for 300 donut special BUT no donuts. I have contacted EA and without taking my username or any account info I was told this is a problem and that I should be patient, it will all work out, and there was nothing he could do to help me. Now isn’t that just dandy.

Hello, I just bought some donuts and I’ve decided on getting the cracker factory after jealously seeing luan in her hamster ball task (I don’t think it’s called that but that’s what it reminds me of! ) in my friends town. As this is my first Christmas with tapped out I just wanted to check if there were ever any Gil’s deals around New Year’s? I would be gutted if it went on deal next week and if already bought it! I know it’s a long shot tho.

It’s hard to say what might come back. 1 year there were 2 deals…but this is the same deal we got last year.
I started this little game for the first time at Easter 2014. Since then I have steadily (and enjoyably) progressed through all the levels and all the special events that EA have thrown my way. I’ve had the odd minor problem along the way, a hard reset here, a full reinstall there, but nothing that I couldn’t handle or that spoilt the whole experience… Until now! I know it’s Christmas and that I should be full of good will and cheer to all men but that finally dried up yesterday when I had to deal with EA. after dropping £34.99 on donuts, I got all the usual messages but no donuts. Aaaaaaaargh! A quick reset and reinstall later, still no donuts. Panic and contact EA, wait 45 minutes for someone to chat with. After 15 minutes be told that I need to contact them again the following day with proof from iTunes that money has left my account. Then get thank you email from them saying case closed! So no donuts, gils deal is finishing today. And on top of all this glitch after glitch after glitch, and looking at all the forums I am not the only one having these problems. Why has part 2 gone so very very wrong?
Sorry for the rant but I was really looking forward to my first Christmas in Springfield and now it feels like it’s all gone wrong. Off to fire an elf cannon to get rid of my frustration (let’s hope I’m not locked out again)
Oh come on ea you really are taking the piss now 1 donut per ice block wall thing , we never had to pay out for spooky wall, or stone cutter wall, I would suggest on people not buying these yet, they look lovely but first we need to find out if they are permanent or will they melt away like our snowmen, imagine buying 60 of them only to watch them dissaper/melt when the event is over, with all the people being locked out of games and paying for donuts only to have the game crash you could at least give us the ice blocks free,
Actually…the spooky walls WERE a donut purchase last Halloween.
Oh I wasn’t here until last xmas that’s still bad as this Halloween the spooky walls were free I guess next year they will be free, but anyway sorry to moan but as a freemium player my donuts are to precious to waste on a possible decoration that’s only good for Xmas if it does melt hmmmm ice blocks for Buddha temple but no doubt homer will try to eat the ice!!!
But we do NOT know if they will. So why stress over something that has not even happened? 😉
And finally, I was waiting for the ubiquitous fence, a block of ice (and all the Simpsons Snowmen at 20 sprinkles ;)! I only have 10 donuts left as a freemium player but seriously willing to shed two for a couple of icecubes! Thoughts :)?
I want to thank EA for finally setting me free. Up until this event I have been a premium player (completist) and purchased every premium item. But after numerous contacts with EA, I still don’t have Zutroy. At first I was angry, but now I have let it go and no longer care about buying donuts so that I can collect every item in the game. I had bought some iTunes cards waiting for Gil, but now I will let him go without getting the sale. It is just peaceful to have broken the habit (addiction) to this game.
I guess it is just an early jump on my New Year resolution. So now I will enjoy what the game offers as a freemium player. And get a lot more sleep…

I bought Costington’s last minute.
I purchased a boat load and did not receive my donuts. It’s been 28 hours since my purchase. After spending HOURS waiting to chat and having three different people help me, I got a supervisor who said that EA is having MAJOR issues with donuts being credited to accounts and they are VERY aware of it and that the ability to manually add donuts to people’s accounts has been removed till the development team can fix the problem. They encouraged patience and assured me that my missing donuts will at SOME point show up. So if people are having the same problem, let them KNOW but be patient because they are working hard to fix it.

3 hours later and still no call back. Thinking of reversing credit card charge and make not playing this game anymore my new years resolution.
I just done chatting with EA and was told that nothing is going to happen until an investigation is finished and then I will get a refund. Not the most satisfactory process.
Try going directly through your App market. It’s really annoying I know.
Decided to call as you,ve been suggesting. Got a call back in about 3 hours and after sending 1 screenshot of the iTunes receipt, I had my donuts in 5 minutes. I won’t be bothering with Chat anymore. Thanks for your advice.
Hey labrat, Will you please stop spray painting (vandalizing my buildings), Every building you “tag” causes my Righteousness rating to drop 5 points. So if you vandalize 3 buildings in my town, that’s a drop of 15 points.
Purchased a boatload through android phone. Donuts did not show up. Contacted EA and received a call around 6 pm. Transferred over to the donut tool team and was told that my wait would be 5 minutes with one person ahead of me. I stayed on hold for 75 minutes with no response before I hung up. Still no donuts. Will try again tomorrow.
I was lucky my SLF gave me a boatload of donuts! Worked great. Also got the cards at Costco so got $100 for $85. So my $/donut was $.027 per donut. Oddly my Sideshow You (popping balloons in Krustyland) promptly broke. I need to contact EA I guess.

$75 in ITunes cards for xmas so splurged for a boatload. In ap through an iPhone 5s , booted me out the first time to purchase, same thing a 2nd time so just confirmed the purchase & when I logged back in thankful they were there. Had purchased Cossingtons & ski lift/SSF earlier & have most premium stuff already so these should be a years worth if not more. EA called me back also & added Zutrov plus a wonderful extra I had asked about. Very positive experience with them.

I didn’t receive my donuts yesterday (the 25th) so I sent off a email to eamobile@ea.com, the email that is actually given in the game, and I still haven’t heard a word back from them. I wanted to get Costingtons and few others. Should I send another email with my receipt?

Wait until tomorrow morning (after 9am EST) and try to contact support directly. Try to get the Call Me option to trigger.
It seems like the game crashing when buying donuts is a common occurrence. I tried purchasing a boatload earlier tonight and the game crashed but all the confirm purchase stuff still popped up so I just continued as usual. When I tried getting back in the game, it wouldn’t load so I powered down my device and when I got back in the game, the Gil quote popped up after you make a purchase and all my donuts were there! I bought Stupid Sexy Flanders with the Ski Lift right away and I am probably going to get the Ice Castle too as I find it hard to pass up those cool limited time items. It feels really good to have so many donuts at once. Happy holidays fellow tappers!

What time does the deal end?
1pm EST is what the files are showing.
I tried the Gil deal multiple times by clicking on his icon to get to them. It crashed each time. I went another route by clicking on the donut icon in the lower left corner of the app and purchased them that way. Worked like a charm the first time. Maybe give that a try if Gil is still crashing for you.

Thanks. I was having the same issue with it crashing every attempt I made to take advantage of Gil’s offer. It was happening on two different devices no matter what I did, but I tried the lower left corner route as you suggested instead and it didn’t crash. I didn’t pull the trigger yet on the donuts as I am still going back and forth on which option (how much) to get. Just when I thought I decided, I started reconsidering. I think I know which way to go now. Anyway, thanks again for the heads up about using the lower left option to do it without crashing.

Had the same problem as most other users when it came to not getting the donuts purchased from the Gil deal. Just to let everyone know be patient, contact EA. It will take a while (started at 9am, didn’t get resolved until 6pm) but you will get your donuts. The only thing you might want to do to save some time is attached a screen shot of proof of purchase. That’s the only thing they really needed before they could fix the issue…hope this helps:)
I tried to buy $50 worth of donuts with iTunes gift cards but whenever I hit purchase, it crashes the app on my iPod. I can’t do that through my phone since it’s an Android.
Oh well, maybe it’s saving me from myself, lmao.
If that happens on mine…I log out of the game. Log out of my iTunes app. Restart the device. Log back into iTunes. Log back into the game. Then try again

I can’t believe I did it, but I did take advantage of Gil’s deal and Amazon’s deal and bought 150 donuts for what amounted to be $7.50. My DH had given me an Amazon gift card for my holiday present, so I let myself succumb to that little treat!
The shame! Hehehe I don’t blame you, was wondering how you leaped ahead… Ah well the loss of another freemium 😉 Hey, if I had generous friends like that I’d do it too 🙂

Actually, the only “leaping ahead” I did was to spend 2 donuts to rush Homer’s 16-hour task at the beginning, so I could start collecting elves. Otherwise, I’ve still been playing entirely freemium (I bought the donuts after that and haven’t used any of them yet.)
What helped me get a good strong start was figuring out, pretty early on, the strategy of only tapping caves and cannons in friendvilles and playing obsessively ask day long (to make sure my cave and cannon were kept cleared and all elves in my town collected). I also try to remember not to fire my cannon first thing in the morning until AFTER I’ve collected all of my elves, to see if I can upgrade the cannon BERFORE firing it.
Well, $7.50 isn’t exactly a major purchase, and, actually, I had enough Amazon coins around (none of which I had ever paid to get) to make the purchase without even using the Amazon gift card (although it did make it easier, psychologically).
But, yes…I do feel Life a bit of a traitor to the freemium cause LOL!

I just splurged and went for the 900 donut deal for £34.99 with the 200 free donuts. I’m using the iphone. I have put in my details, got a message saying it was successful and … No donuts!!! What do I do?? Don’t want to miss the deal if it hasn’t gone through. I only bought them for the deal. :-/. Help!

I got the Gil deal, but my game crashed so I never received my donuts. I am also one of the seemingly lucky few who is still completely locked out. I’ve tried all the trouble shooting and multiple devices and still nothing. Been waiting on a call from EA for maybe 6 hours, after email failed to produce any results. (thanks Dinesh) It’s beyond frustrating.
Gil’s deal has me soured quite a bit. I purchased, it didn’t show up, and now I am awaiting a call back from EA. Other than that, Christmas has been great. I’m really liking the game. What is a good suggestion on what to buy with the Donuts? I’m thinking at least one barbecue pig, but I don’t have very much premium stuff
