Hey Howdy Hey New Year’s Party Animals!
Well it’s officially midnight here on the east coast and that means….hello 2015!! Are any of our favorite Tappers still sober?! Are we?! 😉
As with all major holidays around here we thought it’d be fun to take a look into our personal lives and share with our favorite Addicts our resolutions for 2015! Hey maybe this will force us to all stick to them! (you can check out our resolutions from 2014 and see if we stuck to them here)
So here goes…first up Wookiee’s plans for 2015:
Wow… another year gone by. They go so fast. One of my friends has a theory that they go faster in areas with great weather so maybe that’s why since I live in beautiful Southern California? 2015 is the year of the new Star Wars and Jurassic Park movies so there’s that bonus. Can you resolve to make the weather warmer?
People make resolutions every year to be better and some succeed while others fail. I find it much more productive to resolve to be a better something year round. Endeavoring to be better is admirable. Lose weight if you want to, stop smoking, drink less, love more.go to Finland… just DO IT! If you backslide, who cares? Try and try again. Maybe January 1st should officially be declared something like an unbirthday so we can make resolutions every day. How about Happy New Day?
I’m rambling because I don’t like New Year’s resolutions. I said the same thing last year and gave you definitions of the word resolution lol. I honestly considered just copy and pasting the whole blurb. I hate to see people set themselves up for failure. Maybe we should all resolve to not resolve? Damn the ssytem… up with the people lol.
Anywho… Every year I always promise to remember the people I love that love me in return. Daily I strive to be the best me I can be and I think that’s what matters. Resolute… I choose to be me and love those who like whatever that is. My Wookieemama always says to resolve to get to the things that you talked about last year that you were supposed to do the previous that were written about before and talked about even earlier. Sometimes she’s deep and funny like that.
So here’s my resolution… I will be a better something. Much love and I hope 2015 is even better than 2014. Good luck with all your resolutions and know I love ya all even if you resolve again the next year.

Bunny hopping on by here to take some reservations from Readers for the New Years. Huh? Wait? WHAT??!! OH!! MAKE SOME RESOLUTIONS!! That makes a LOT more sense.
Got it. Well, since these “Resolutions” are basically “dreams” that just ain’t gonna happen, So… why not have a lil fun with it. Now if THESE come true…well that’ll be ONE HECK OF A YEAR. Let’s mix in some fun and some possibilities. WHY NOT??!!
#1: Get 10 Kisses from Cute Guys from the U.K. (They GOTTA be taller than me. They GOTTA have a cool accent. A girl can dream, right?)
#2: Go for a ride in the T.A.R.D.I.S. (Cuz Timey Whimey Travel is cool.)
#3: Explore Ireland, Scotland, New Zeland. (Because it seems like some beautiful country there.)
#4: Meet at least 100 New people in person. (I get nervous as heck in public, you wouldn’t know it…but I do. So I challenge myself.)
#5: Get 50 Letters written to me. (Because, why not. NO ONE writes letters anymore. So much more personal, but a forgotten trait.)
#6: Do stuff. (Stuff is important)
#7: Lose Weight. (Gotta have that one there.)
#8: Get new glasses and contacts. (More a reminder to me. Lol.)
#9: Donate more time. (I love working with Charities)
#10: Donate more money. (I just never feel like I gave enough. Always wish I had more so I could give more.)
I think that is a good set there, don’t you? Have a fantastic New Year Everyone. You KNOW how much I adore you all. 🙂

So I guess it’s my turn huh?
Like Wookiee I hate making resolutions. Mostly because I never stick to them…but if I make the others do it I’ve gotta do one too right? So here goes….
Last year I “resolved”, among other things, to lighten up a bit and share more of my cheesy side with you guys. And I think (and of course you guys can let me know) I did pretty good at sticking to it. But there’s always room for improvement…so this year I “resolve”:
-To get better at time management. With two blogs, a full time job & a husband I’ve got a lot of “balls in the air” at any given time. Some retooling and organizing of my time is better for everyone (especially me!)
-To let a lot of the “little stuff” go. 2014 saw a lot of drama behind the scenes and as the year moved on it got better. So here’s hoping we’ll continue on that drama free path in 2015…
-To go to the gym more. Time management comes into play here too. I’ve had a gym membership for the last several months but I’ve barely had the time to go. Time to start making the time….
-To spend more time with my two favorite nuts…Bunny & Wookiee. And meet more of YOU in 2015!!
2014 has truly been an amazing year for us and we can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store! We also can’t wait to share with all of you the great plans we have in store for the coming year! (SPOILER ALERT: it includes completing one of my resolutions, MORE contests & some other things you guys have been requesting for a long time!)
We hope you all have a phenomenal New Year & where ever you are tonight get home safe!

It varies. The whole thing is your cool down time lowers as you level up but the number of elves you get doesn’t increase…which results in it feeling like you don’t have enough elves.

Good for you, the only downside is that I hate the people who try to guilt you when you are already donating time. Grrrr…

The sad thing here is that the less money people have, the greater percentage they give. Oh, for 2015 being the year THAT starts balancing out…

Has anyone else been able to log into game? Since the free donuts are only today will it be available tomorrow for those who can’t get in? I tried from midnight til 2am. Nothing😢 then @ 7 am til 2:30 nothing again. I got to get in for 15 min before it crashed again. Now I stil can’t get on. EA should give us 100 donuts for all the issues it’s had since Christmas.
Server issues all day…
I feel a New Years observation is called for… I believe the addicts have called for some patience with EA (and on another site, TinyCo), however I don’t know that we should be that forgiving.
Now, I don’t have a lot of sympathy reserved for freemium players who have problems, after all, they haven’t paid for play.
But by my estimation there are many people who have likely paid more (sometimes far more) than they paid for the platform they are playing on! Not so sure about Android/Kindle/Windows players, but I know that Apple users demand their devices always work, and there are headline stories when they don’t. Shouldn’t people who have spent 100’s of dollars on a game expect them to have less problems (especially repetitive problems)?
E/A get on the ball and buy a few dozen more TSTO dedicated servers! And use the 100,000s you make per week on a couple more dedicated programmers!
Patience goes more to those trying to help. The frontline customer service agents who are just there to do their job. As far as the Company, yes… there are expectations on THIS game that is over 2 years old. I would hope they got some things right by now. If a mass amount of customers are impacted, don’t let up on them. Keep emailing, calling, messaging until the issue is resolved.
I do get somethings will take time to resolve, so again patience will be needed… but realistic patience. Players voices do need to be heard on valid issues. “I want it all free”…well, that one is another story in itself. Lol. 😉

Happy Nes Year hot to Himer platying Simpsons Tapped Out and like loads more cannot log back in. I think it is Homers fault causing it to not log on, he is trying to play the game and getting himself to play the game while is trying to play the game. My head is hurting trying to explain this. 😨
Yes, Homer is playing Simpsons. In doing so, he has been given the task to have Homer play Simpsons. He does, and that Homer is then given the same task, and so on and so on ad nauseam. Of course a server crash is inevitable.
To Alissa, Bunny, Wookiee, and all on TSTO Addicts site, I wish you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous new year. Thanks for everything in the past year (I know and appreciate the hard work that goes into the site behind the scenes).
Like many others have expressed today, I haven’t been able to connect to the server at all today so far. I only get Bart. Even last night night / this morning in the wee hours, when I was able to connect, it had synchronization issues. I kept on being kicked out becuase it wouldn’t synchronize.
Happy New Year! Thanks for a great site that’s heavy on useful information and light on RAM-choking ads and gewgaws. As for the EA servers being down, I’m looking at the bright side: when I do get back online there should be plenty of elves for me to launch – hopefully with gears in their pockets.
Im in Dublin its 18:35 i haven’t been able to log onto my game all day its hardly because of others trying to get in… Ea should just pull the game they cant seem to be able to get it right. Ive spent hundreds of euro on my game will they refund it since i spend most of the time unable to load the game

For what it’s worth, every MMPOG* (of any variety) that I’ve ever played, has had server issues from time to time– some more than others, perhaps — it’s the nature of the beast.
*MMPOG = Massive Multi-Player Online Game
Is the free gift the additional doughnuts that Homer pays out after the beer ice challenge? I sent him on his 24 hr Tapped Out task earlier. Was that the gift?

I was able to get on briefly this morning when I was up in the wee hours with the baby. I got Homer to complete a 3minute task and got 2 donuts. I shot some elves but I haven’t gotten back in since. I’m worried about my bell count as I was 300 behind the calendar last night. I haven’t had too many server outage issues so while this is disappointing I definitely have more days that I can connect. Worst part of today is my daughter and I woke up sick 🙁

One would think EA would realize that a one day special event will cause millions to try and log on. Its been shown the servers can not handle the traffic. This will put many well behind on bell collection. Hope EA notices.

EA started the year off with, surprise, ANOTHER SERVER SNAFU! At least they could come up with a new “Sorry, Cannot connect to server” screen, since we see it as often as we see the actual game. Thinking of deleting this app and the frustration that accompanies it’s seemingly constant glitches from my 2015. I SO regret jumping on Gil’s Xmas deal. Sitting on 300 something donuts and don’t even care. It’s just not worth the hassle. Here’s to a Tapped Out-free New Year…

I don’t know, there is a rumour floating around out there from some fairly reliable sources that they got hacked again.
Some people are able to get in still…which usually tells me they’re having spotty server outages.
I managed to get on once this morning, but kicked out after about three minutes. Haven’t been able to get back in since. Very frustrating. I keep trying, hoping server traffic will be lighter, but so far, no dice.
BTW, I really enjoyed this post. It’s nice to see the “you” side of the site. 🙂

Oddly enough… I had trouble last night getting in, until about 11pm EST. Then not a problem until this afternoon.
