Hey hey hey! You know my friends, it’s been too long since I did one of these What a Wookiee Wants posts about future stuff and with the TSTO Holiday Event coming to a close, I thought it was high time. In the past, the snow thaws and the next event brings us Cupid and lots of stupid pink to TSTO. That’s right fellow Addicts, I’m talking about Valentine’s Day.
In past events we’ve seen different items and characters grace our Springfields but of course the thing we care about most is characters and buildings. We could explore different Valentine’s concept from the show and figure out what we’d like to see…
Well… I guess we could go with the love, feelings and emotions bit. Last year I cam up with a bunch of ideas so if you’re interested check out Part I and Part II.
I went back and forth with what I’d like to see and then was inspired by reader dwsresin490. What TSTO needs is some Puppy Love. Also known as a simple infatuation, a crush, calf love, or kitten love, what I’m talking about is love interests for the kiddos. With this theme in mind, I decided to highlight possible interests for Bart and Lisa. First up… El Barto:

Mary Spuckler – “Apocalypse Cow” (S19:E17), “Moonshine River” (S24:E1), “Love is a Many Splintered Thing” (S24:E12)
Jenny – “The Good, the Sad and the Drugly” (S20:E17)
Nikki McKenna – “Stealing First Base” (S21:E15)
Melody Juniper – “Flaming Moe” (S22:E11)
Zhenya – “The Fabulous Faker Boy” (S24:E20)
Sherri, Terri, Shauna and Greta Wolfcastle have also been love interests. From this list, I could see them bringing in Jessica Lovejoy and her mom and doing a swell VD update. Of all of them though, I’d really love to see Mary Spuckler. I’ve said before I really think she is Bart’s one true love and I just like their interaction. Laura Powers could also be fun and maybe get a task to beat up that hussy Shauna.

Of all of these boys, Colin is at the top of my list but Lucas is up there too. Alas, I think EA would show Bart puppy love first but I always root for Lisa even if it would make poor Milhouse sad to have another beau roaming my Springfield.
NOTE: For the above lists, I left out Jenda and Hugh Parkfield just because they’re future love interests. As we all learned in X-Men:Days of Future Past… the future is not set so there’s no guarantee of them and really they don’t make any sense in our TSTO.
Just to fill out this list of wants, Valentine’s Day could also finally give Milhouse some love. It’s always nice when things come out Milhouse (especially for us nerds) so how about Samantha Stankey showing up in TSTO?
Ultimately I’m just dreaming and only Jebus knows what EA has planned for us but those are some of my thoughts. Got anything special you want for Valentine’s Day? Any specific puppy love interest you’d like to see? Sound off below in the comments and stay classy.

I think a return to community prizes and enough time to complete the tasks for when the server goes down.
I want an animal that hangs out in the ocean. Maybe a sea lion for the pier? I love the ideas of swimming pools, dirt roads and cobblestone. I want more swimming options for my Springfielders with that money pool!
I’d love to be able to trade items with other players. I think people would love to see the Mapple store return. 😀
It’s high time?
While I do hope EA adds the different roads and decorations, I’m learning towards more classic characters. The Powers would be cool, if they had a quest were Rose and Marge go on the lam lol. Other than that Rose isn’t someone I’m pressed about. Lunch Lady Doris, the College Homer attended, don’t care to much for the nerds but we have every other level of education. Maggie needs to make her appearance already, hopefully making us wait this long means she’ll enter with a BANG. Why are there no babies in Springfield :/ a lard lad NPC like the one from THT. With that being said I’m glad there’s a lull going on right now, and personally I could use an extra 2 weeks before something big happens. My corn just finished this morning and now nothing is stopping me from nuking..
Everything, except for pink and heart-shaped stuff, I still have enough decoration from last year!
I remember, back in the day when we would express what we would love to see in the game, and some of those things would show up. Maybe it was coincidence, but I think EA actually checks these kinds of blogs. But, it seems like requests mostly go denied now. How long have people been asking for dirt roads and paths, or cobblestone roads, etc? Or desert or West Springfield style stuff? Manhole covers and stop lights and more flexibility with Krustyland or Squidport? Ignored.
Sorry to be a downer lately, but I used to just love this game. This past event I have put almost all of the prizes in storage because they are just weird. Sequel Shop? Really? Weird.
Green camping tents in the files? Why not just release them for us to use? Why not release the potted ficus bush in the files? Or the manhole covers?
I have a feeling Valentines will be mostly old, returning items. Just seems to be the way the games goes, now.

I wouldnt give up hope. Remember some things are more to do with it being a coding nightmare, not an “ignoring your thoughts” issue. 😉

She was for a short short time.
I would love to see different types of streets available, like cobblestones (for all of the castles that now exist in the game) and dirt roads (Kamp Krusty, Cleatus’ Farm) for the both the regular game and Krustyland. Also, Clash of Clones buildings should be available for placement in Krustyland. Oh, and MORE Krustyland stuff…lots more.
I would LOVE to see a prize in whatever they do to be a “zoom in/out slider tool” … I would love to see what my town looks like zoomed out! Even if you had to be zoomed in to take care of the tasks… I wouldn’t care! Well, maybe a little… :-). Another prize I would like to get is a way to chat with your neighbors! Ok… I know I’m just dreaming… sigh….

One thing not related to the event that we seriously need is a change-up with the five day login bonus. I’m over the 500 money/tree/fence that seems to be set on a 3 day never ending loop! I think, ahem, that the wheel would be a great option for the 5th day login bonus! It would give us more winning options and it would be great to see a donut option (1-3 donuts??) on the wheel as well as either items exclusive to the wheel or regular items in exclusive colors/ combinations.
For Valentines Day, I would like to see EA move back to the event format from last year. I miss the “community” goals. I liked that we were working to attain items together, but then I have a more global community mindset. I am in my game a lot and it didn’t really change anything for me. After the event ended a few days ago, I blew up my town. We really need some new house options; even the same houses in new colors would help. Also, more flowers, new ground options (hello dirt and dirt roads!!!), the ability to place cars on the roads… It’s really silly to have all kinds of road for our springfielders to walk on and grass to put our cars??? New pond/water options, some different trees, and as always, new fences.
It would be great to have Colin for Lisa. Hopefully he would be voiced (sooo loved his voice and accent), and there could be an ‘environmental’ theme to the quests and the event.
I’d like to see the return of Brandine. I’d also like to see Little Vicki Valentine and her school of dance! C’mon it’s an obvious connection. Lisa could tap dance uncontrollably across Springfield. Frink could have those weasel chasing toys. Ralph could dress up in a Martian outfit, and Vicki can Tappa Tappa.

Here’s a Valentine’s day task smithers spends the night with Mr burns 24 hr task , 12 hour task Mr burns fires smithers as he can’t have a relationship with co worker, 8hr tasks Mr burns sets the hounds on smithers as he believes he is cheating on him, 4hr task yes man chaperones a dinner date with burns and smithers, 1hr task smithers gets down on one knee and proposes to Mr burns,
Seems like EA has moved away from events where all players chip in to help earn new community prizes. Was the last one the Christmas 2013 event? Even 2 or 3 building and a skin would be nice. Personal prizes too of course. Maybe task currency and neighbor visits would result in candy hearts.
As far as who the questline could follow… Marge is probably due for some attention. Maybe Willie could look for love in all the wrong places??
I think the Community Prizes didn’t quite work as intended as those that were in the games daily or even hourly felt it unfair they “did all the work” while those that just popped in or just joined were able to get the items without doing a thing. (At least that was the feedback I saw.) Cool idea though. I personally didn’t mind the Community Prizes. I think the daily “tunnels” and “tasks” replaced them. Christmas was the last time we saw them.
Yes, that is a good point about participation levels. I guess I’d consider myself somewhere in the middle, tapping a couple times/ day. It just always seemed like we got all the prizes (and if I recall, one event where we didn’t, EA adjusted the numbers to make it attainable). Could just be a few nice bonus items on top of the regular questline/ prizes.
Either way, can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. 🙂

I started playing during the Stonecutter Event. I don’t think I’d mind a community prize. It’s a way for everyone to benefit from the communal gameplay, and it’s a nice way to welcome new players into the fold, so to speak. And why should people mind if some play more than others? It’s a game and not everyone has the same amount of time to devote to it. Maybe a combination would good? Community prizes, but also with individual prizes to reward those that play more?
Like I said, I didn’t mind it. But I am also one of those that likes to help others (our site pretty much shows that. Lol)… sadly there are those that don’t want to.
Still interested to see what they have up their sleeves for us this year. 😉

I think Springfield needs new types of houses…and also needs swimming pools! C’mon already!!!!
I was just thinking this over the past few days as I did a redesign of my town. Even one or two more houses and DEFINITELY swimming pools, that we can size-select, would be awesome. Backyard sized ones, and community sized ones would be great.
Yeah I hate having to have several of the same house. I try to spread them out so it’s not as noticeable.Only in the last couple weeks I bought duplicate houses, I’ve spent all my time playing only having one of each because I didn’t want more than one haha
More flower options and no stupid pink fences and benches! One of my fav eps with Lisa is when she falls for Nelson. I know we already have him but it would be a cute little quest line. Lisa could make Nelson dress up and they could go on a picnic. Milhouse could pass notes. So many options!
They have addressed Nelson and Lisa’s romance, in the Krustyland quests.

What I need most is a 4-hour task (I’d even settle for a 3-hour) task that Bernice Hibbert could do that doesn’t require Marge. Since she’s always fighting with her husband and drinking (and drinking can cause one think make poor choices), maybe she could have an affair with someone?
Sorry – not feeling all that well this morning, so I guess I’m in a dark mood…. The other thought that came to me had something to do with lovable Valentine’s Day teddy bears that suddenly go on an evil rampage through the town…better? No? I thought not…. 😉

I wasn’t playing last V-day, so I’m hoping for some return items, too. Mainly Howard’s Flowers and the KL ride, plus any characters I’ve missed from days of yore. I’d love to get Kumiko for CBG…
New, though, I’d love to see a task for Homer and Marge at the mini golf course, and the hot air balloon, and Duff Stadium, since they’re all in (or available in) our towns now. Heh.
I’d love to see the character that Helen Hunt(?) played who dated Moe, but then ran off with Snake. And any of the Spucklers, since I only have Cletus. Also, Mr. Burns has had the occasional love interest, too. Even old men need some love.
Would love to see the Love-Matic Grandpa, a chore for Moe where he has to drag it through Springfield on a dolly.

There had been a bit of shuffling in the character box, but I think the next update would include some that were shuffled; ) Maybe some new quests, but please no Valentines! (Ugly duckling ytalking ; p)
I want a more common character like Jessica Lovejoy. Her and her mom would be a great addition! They are reoccurring characters in the show; I don’t like one time characters like Mindy in the game.
Mindy was a great character to add. But I agree with the other one time characters that serve little purpose.
What I REALLY want is some new decos. With v day and spring on the horizon it would b a great time for EA to release some new flowers. Some white, yellow or thr blue mutant roses could b done and some tulips and other springtime plants for Easter. My fave part of the game is decorating my town. We really need some new decorating options
