Looks like we’ve got ourselves an Episode Tie-in!
This is for Sunday’s episode, The Musk Who Fell to Earth.
More details as we go through them…but for now know that Homer starts part 1 and will have a 3m task. Followed by Lisa starting part 2. For part 2 you’ll have to send 5 Springfielders on a 3m task. So make sure you’ve got free characters to send. Once you start part 2 you’ll unlock some premium goodies in the store. More details are on the way.
For those that don’t like spoilers….here’s a quick rundown:
Part 1 Homer starts
Part 2 Lisa starts, you’ll need 5 Springfielders for the task
Part 3 Lisa starts, but you’ll need Willie to complete
Part 4 Lisa starts
Part 5 Lisa starts, again you’ll need 5 Springfielders for the task
Part 6 Mr. Burns starts
WARNING…Mild Spoilers below…
Ok so with this Episode tie-in you’ll see the option to purchase Premium Electric cars in the build menu after you’ve completed part 1 of the questline. Your options are:
Red Electric Car- 35 Donuts, Earns 0.75% bonus on all cash and XP
Yellow Electric Car- 40 Donuts, Earns 2% bonus on all cash and XP
Blue Electric Car- 45 Donuts, Earns 2.25% Bonus on all cash and XP
Note: the cars are not animated.
After you completed part 3, with Willie, you’ll unlock the option to purchase…
Manual Power Generator- $2,000, comes with Slave Labor Willie Skin (it’s 5×5 in size)
This does come with a questline…it’s only 2 parts though.

I own a Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid so as soon as I saw the electric cars, I knew I had to have one in my game. Now if I could only get a hyperloop / monorail in my TSTO game. Wohoo!

Not bothering with the cars would rather spend my saved donuts on a new premium character when I have enough! I love the new willie skin as he’s one of my favourites in the show. I placed him next to the escalator to nowhere as looks like he’s powering the thing as it goes up at same motion rate as he turns the wheel!
Well, I got all three cars and 3% added to my cash and xp. I put the generator behind the Hungry Hun because for some reason it fits the theme of the building.
Will Rex banner return in the 4th of July update this year?

And the red walls are back to normal thank you EA for listening and acting on our request and to those tappers who responded to the EA forum post all of you.
For me personally I do like these Episode Tie-In events as its little fun and little Nostalgia when I look back in few mouths and remember few of the jokes from the show.
Hello fellow tappers, the red brick walls are back to normal. Maybe EA does listen to us when we complain. I just wish they offered an electric car for in game cash, even if it was just a decoration and didn’t add a bonus %. I can’t complain too much though with the power generator being so cheap and coming with a free willie skin and quest line. Any thoughts on when level 49 might come out?
The cars are not a bad price for the bonus percent that they give. As I do not want to give EA, Fox, Musk, or Tesla the impression that I approve of Musk, Tesla, or any electric vehicle I am in a conundrum as to purchase or not to purchase such items.
Hey Clayton, I was just wondering why you don’t want to give the impression that you approve of any electric vehicle? I think electric cars are the wave of the future. I doubt if they put electric cars in TSTO as a sort of secret poll to see how popular they might be in real life. I understand how personal beliefs can carry over to the game(I’m a strict vegetarian(vegan) and I would have never bought something like the poor caged tom turkey at thanksgiving), but I was just wondering what yr thoughts were about electric cars. It’s a step in the wrong direction that has been under development for the past 100 years with little improvement. Lets just leave it at that since this is not the place to get into such discussions.
i had a feeling my original comment would be “moderated”… if you guys are going to let users express their opinion/belief one way or another about a particular item, allowing them to leave it at “it’s a step in the wrong direction…” it seems only fair to allow others to respond to that. conversely, if you have to resort to removing the “reply” button from a particular post, perhaps that post should have been the one censored in the first place…
There is a difference of constructive criticism and blatant attacks. If a comment starts name calling, pointing fingers, or singling out an individual person…we will NOT allow it. That is exactly what your comment did. The original poster was very vague in their post and spoke in a manner in which did not incite hate or anger towards another. They instead took their opinion and understood this was not the place for such discussion and kindly bowed out.

As far as the “reply” button. WE do not control that. It is an auto setting by those that created WordPress. WE don’t tell them how to run their sites. They control those settings. I kindly ask in the future to look at things through different eyes and instead of forming a comment in “attack” mode, step away for a bit and think over what you want to say. Think how others will perceive it. Kindness goes a long way. 🙂

That’s Kodos’ 24hr task, Act Harmless. Kodos was available during Halloween 2014 and 2013…if you purchased the Ray Gun.
Is there a time limit on when this must be completed?
It looks like you have until the 28th to start it and until the end of February to finish the questline before it’s pulled from your game. But you’ll have to make all purchases before it leaves on the 28th of January.

My friend is having an error where cannot buy anymore donuts and the option has disappeared form the menu, is anyone else experiencing this?
Have them log out of their game. Log out of their app market. Restart their device. Go back to the App market as soon as the devices powers back up. Sign back in to the app Market. THEN launch the game again. See if that helps.

I saw an update, got excited and then soon found out that it wasn’t a level. I felt like Bart and Lisa, getting in the cart thinking they’re going to Disneyland, but really they were just headed for the dentist. 🙁
Gotta love new skins and questlines! As a freemium player I’ll pass on the electric cars but everything else with this episode tie in looks great!
lol strange update. Good to see more vehicles being added, but still no way of adding them to roads without a hack.

I make parking lots out of pavement, rather than road. Looks great, and you can make it look seamless if you make the transition from road to pavement hidden behind a building!
I don’t understand why EA doesn’t allow us to park vehicles on top of the parking lot tiles. Come on, if that isn’t the most obvious placement for them… Granted, they may not fit into the spaces on them, but let Police Chief Wiggum and company worry about parking violations.
I put them on pavement and put a random parking lot by… gives the “appearance” they are parked in stalls.
