Level 49 and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 49 arrived in town late last week and brought with it 2 new Characters, some new buildings & decorations to help improve our Conform-O-Meters!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

Of course with the release of Levels 49 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed, so let’s check it out and see what the new requirements are.  So now you’ll have all the information you need to maintain that 5-Star Springfield!

Here are the new requirements to maintain a 5-Star Springfield for Level 49

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
    Gluttony
49     550      330       348/381
Tree-hugging
     /Vanity
Righteousness Socialism
36,965/54,670        282     2,898

Indolence, Obedience, Consumerism and Gluttony saw no increase from Level 48 to Level 49, however every other area increase.  Tree-Hugging increased by 1,690 points and Vanity saw a 2,300 point increase.  While Righteousness increased by 11 points and Socialism increased by 132 points.

So now let’s take a look at how these new buildings and decorations Level 49 dropped in impact our Conform-o-Meter:

Item Cost Category Points
D’Amico Summer Home $273,000
(Base)
Indolence 10
Old Abandoned Warehoue $177,000
(Base)
n/a n/a
Rancho Relaxo 130 Donuts n/a n/a
Chalk Outline 5 Donuts n/a n/a
Fat Chalk Outline 5 Donuts n/a n/a
Suspicious Dirt Pile 10 Donuts n/a n/a

As you can see only the D’Amico Summer Home will have a Conform-O-Meter Impact.  The others are just nice to look at (or provide a bonus %) but do nothing towards your Conform-o-Meter.  So make sure you use other buildings (and training walls) to balance out increase in Conform-O-Meter requirements.

And that’s the latest on the Conform-O-Meter requirements for Level 49!

How is YOUR town doing?  Are you maxed out?  If not what area(s) currently needs a boost?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. I have a question – the answer may be elsewhere on the site but I couldn’t locate it!
In the early days of the game, I bought several Kwik-e-Marts to boost consumerism, but now I have enough buildings to not need so many. I know if you try to store any of the Kwik-es in inventory, it warns you that you will also store Apu, and obviously that’s not especially desirable. But what if you sell one? Will Apu also disappear from your game..?

  2. I wondered why I had a consumerism drop even though the numbers didn’t change…. But I figured it out. In order to build the abandoned warehouse I had stored the Malaria Zone as I needed to build more tiles…. So it should be ok the moment I’ll put it back.

  3. I had the full five stars on my town, but since the L49, my righteusness has plummeted down to half a star !!! whats all that about, and what can i do to correct that, I have not removed any of my buildings, or done anything other than add a nice flower garden… LOL…

  4. well, i lost the elf cannon somebow and spoke to EA , who compensated me 100 donuts for my troubles! As far as conformity, all i can say is stay diligent and persistant! Over time, all will work out! I was envious for a long time and swore i would only be freemium until i bought a couple things and swore no more then the rest was history

    • A few other tappers reported theirs missing too. Very odd thing. I think the elves are rebelling…

      • Hmmmmmmm……I would have thought those little green twerps would have been down in Key West, toes in the sand and sipping pina coladas by now!

  5. Is there a way to see the actual points for each conform-o-meter in the game? When I tap indolence, socialism etc, all I see are the stars, but not the actual points accumulated for that area

  6. I surely don’t want to belabour anyone or anything, but I’d love to see a list of all of those things in my (and others’) Springfields that can be safely entombed in my inventory with no loss of Indolence, Righteousness, etc…

Some of the free “gifts” of late don’t belong in Springfield (Donut Torture Machine? Really??) or anywhere else, but I’m always reluctant to warehouse them for fear of losing some incremental bonus.

  7. Just curious with a question……
Do you know if it is possible to recieve the random doughnuts while visiting a neighbours Krustyland, or only in their Springfield?
I like to visit Krystylands and save the tickets as kind of a reserve fund, currently have about 500,000K worth of tickets saved up.
    Thanks for your time….
    Dave

  8. A couple of *new* things which I’d like to be present in this year’s Valentine’s Day Event are:
    (1) A building or decoration that counts towards CONSUMERISM.
    (2) A building (could be the same one above) that has great animation and a PERMANENT task associated with it.

Oh and KUMIKO for free or in-game cash would be cool, too!

    • I’d like to see more freemium items that contribute to gluttony and consumerism — shouldn’t have to load up on duplicates to max out these ratings.

  9. My B and C games both needed some more greenery. Everything else was still okay.

  10. Both my indolence and consumerism levels went down half a star when I got to level 49 bringing my Total level down to 4,5 stars again… I dont really want to build more kwikemarts and houses anymore to keep this up, I like the Michael story line but how do you check your levels? Is there an easy way beside counting?

  11. Thanks again for this info, Addicts!

BTW, I know it was part of the Tie-in, not L49, but can you provide the Conformity info for the Manual Power Generator that unlocked Slave Labor Willie? My guess is it’ll be none or Vanity. But I could see Obedience or Righteousness working, too.

    Please? Thanks, in advance!

  12. Why does the post say 5% when my town is at 3.5 stars and I receive 10.80% bonus? This has always confused me. Thanks.

    • There are items in your town adding to the bonus. You get a bonus % for your stars and then additional bonus % for premium items in your town.

    • Just to add on to what Alissa said, you may have premium items even if you’ve never actually spent donuts to buy anything. For example, the suspicious dirt pile you get at the end of this questline adds .5% to your bonus multiplier.

      • When I played the game long ago I didn’t know donuts are so precious and bought a performer and a lollipop man that offers nothing except their performance 🙂

    • It seems that the bonus is linear, i.e. you’ll be getting 3.5% from your three and a half stars and, therefore, 7.3% from other things.

For example, I think the totem pole we got at Christmas/Thanksgiving (?) give 2%, the Spooky walls we got at Halloween give 0.05% each, the bits of burning bush that occasionally come with new land give 0.25%, etc.
