Love is in the air in Springfield! And while our stores are mostly full of premium items from Valentines past, there’s still one new item in the stores catching a lot of attention, the Animatronic Bears. Now I know you may be trying to decide if these singing bears are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Animatronic Bears to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button…let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these singing bears to your Springfield and see if these items are worth YOUR donuts!

Bonus %: 2.5% on all cash and XP
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +50
Pros
-Animated decoration, when tapped the bears will play their instruments and sing
-Good bonus % for donuts spend
Cons
-Pretty large for just a decoration
-Really doesn’t fit in well with Springfield
-Animation/singing is short.
Final Thought
Premium
If you want something strictly for the bonus % this isn’t a bad buy, but personally this is one I’d pass on. To me it just doesn’t offer enough Real Springfield fit for my town. I just think it’d be hard to fit into my Springfield..
Freemium
Definitely pass on this one. Despite it’s decent bonus %, in my opinion this one just isn’t worth it if you’re a freemium player. My best advice is to save your donuts for something better down the line, or use them towards Brandine. Otherwise, skip the bears.
As always we can’t tell you what to do. In the end it’s you’re call, we can only tell you what we did & didn’t do. In this case I fully intend on passing on these guys in my town. Just remember..whatever you decide do so before February 17th, as these bears will then disappear from the store forever! (or at least until next Valentine’s Day)

I had to have this little string quartet. Thay are playing music in the park right now! I can see how the musical bears would not be for everyone, but I can imagine lots of places for them.

I got the bears partly because I’m a bit of a completionist these days, and partly because I did have a good spot for them, down in the ‘Stranger Danger’ section of town I built around Susan the Witch’s house. I had a notion that one of these days I build an entire theme park titled “Totally Not KrustyLand”, which would include all of the non-KL attractions such as Susan’s house, the bears, the Great Pumpkin, the Alien Queen and Rigel Village, Sir Putts-a-Lot, Santa’s Village, and so on. It’d take some major town redesigning though…

I bought it, and put it with my Queen Helvetica Castle. Now all I need are a few ponies and kittens and cute singing birds 😉

I personally passed on the Bears, too pricy for what it offers. Plus I really couldn’t think of a place to put it. I was thinking daycare or Squidport but just didn’t like the fit, seems out of place.

I think the Bears are not unique. Once I bought one and it wasn’t available for purchase anymore. I would also have preferred to be able to use it in Krustyland. It’s a better fit with the Tunnel of Love or the Happy Little Elves in Panda Land if you have it.

Even though I am a freemium player, I bought it along with Brandine and I have to say its actually worth it. I am a FNAF fan and I made a nice design with the bears to make it look romantic.
I love them, because the whole “Love Day” thing is one of my fave Simpsons moments. <3
I wasn’t sure if I should get them, but I’m too much of a completist and had to go for it. Thought they’d make a nice attraction for the kids on Squidport.

Too funny! I did pretty much the exact same thing. I think it fits pretty well in SP — cheesy little attraction for the kids.

I have had the benches for quite a while now, can’t remember when I got them. I have been playing for just over 2 years so it was most likely a past valentines event. I only have three of them, wish I had more 🙁
those are the valentines benches, got them during the 2014 vday event… i was hoping they’d bring those and the fences back for purchase, because i have so few of each. oh well.
I think it’s pretty cute, especially the music and animations when you tap on it.
Haven’t checked to see if you could place it in Krustyland, but doesn’t that seem like a natural fit? Then again the castles would work in Krustyland too and we never got to move them there either..
Oh thanks for the write up. I bought it yesterday. I am a freenium player. I like the classical music it plays. One of my favorite decorations at the moment.
I was totally planning on skipping the Bears until I checked their size and found they fit perfectly in the food court area of my Springfield Mall 🙂

brandine….would u send her on the 90day task to have a spuckler? Are the benefits just what’s stated? Or do we also gain the baby as a new character?

Yes, it earns a ton of cash and xp & avoids you having to send Brandine on daily tasks. Also, once done you’ve got a Spuckler kid walking around your town that will earn you additional cash and xp. It’s an NPC but will still earn you money (like visitors in K-Land). So yes, totally worth birthing the spuckler kids
It takes a full 270 days to birth all three Spuckler kids (unless you hurry ’em along with donuts…). But each kid produces a fair amount of money on an ongoing basis (in a manner not unlike a building, save the kids are mobile and wander around). I guess the lore is they’re busking in the streets, playing music for money and pickpocketing. Totally worth it.
I picked up Brandine this time last year, and now she and three Spucklers are in my A-game town.

this is the sole reason i bought brandine. i am not a completionist or preemo player, but i like the unique characters that can generate things, like akira and his bonsai plants. in this case, brandine can create 3 npc characters that cannot be purchased or gotten any other way in the game, essentially giving you a taskable character and 3 “buildings” for 100 donuts… which is a steal no matter how you look at it.
