Holy 90’s Bartman! It’s Superhero time in Springfield! And when you think Superhero, how can you not think of Bartman?! While we’ve had Bartman in our games for a few days now (should I buy on him can be found here), many of you have been commenting “Where’s Bartman’s Cave?!”…well now it’s here! (for a LIMITED TIME) Now I know many of you are trying to decide if this superhero hangout is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to help you decide what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Bartman’s Cave to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this hideaway to YOUR Springfield!
Decoration/Building: Bartman’s Cave
Donut Price: 55 Donuts
Earns: $55, 5xp/1hr
Size: 6×8
Conform-O-Meter: Obedience +10
Pros
-Unlocks a 16hr task for Bart, Use the Bart Phone
-Animated, when in use the lights flash, video game blinks and the computer flashes. Also the flag waves.
Cons
-While Bartman has a task there, no other characters will use it.
– A payout of every 1hr is a little rough to build up decent income from it. (since most likely you won’t be in your game every hour tapping it)
Before I get into my final thoughts I’d like to mention something. I’ve seen a lot of you comment that you’re upset it’s not a combo for Bartman. Like the cave and Bartman should be a combo deal. Well here’s how you should look at it…for 115 donuts (60 for Bartman and 55 for the Cave) you’ve got a premium skin/building combo. And that’s a great price for a combo! So if you’re hell bent on it being a combo just buy both and tell yourself you paid 115 for it.
For those of you upset that the 60 donut price for Bartman didn’t include the building too, that would never happen. The cheapest character/building combo in the game is 90 donuts…and that’s Jub-Jub and the Petshop. Beyond that they’d never let a combo like Bartman and the Cave go for 60 donuts. If you look at it as a 115 donut combo, it’s a fair price for the two. Especially since the building will have task…(the same cannot be said for Jub and the Petshop)

Grab it! This should be an instant buy for you. It brings the total with Bartman up to 115 for the combo & that’s a fair price for the two. Not to mention the coolness factor of finally having Bartman’s Cave in your Springfield!

This one is a little tricky. I know many of you won’t have enough donuts to get Bartman, Bartman’s Cave AND Spider Pig. So here’s my ranking order for them….Spider Pig, Bartman, Bartman’s Cave. However, if you have the donuts (or think you will before the Cave is gone from the store)…it’s not a bad buy. But like I said…given the choice between Spider Pig, Bartman & the Cave I’d go Spider Pig, Bartman and then the Cave.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I picked Bartman’s Cave up right away! However, whatever you decide remember this is a limited-time item and will disappear next week. So make sure you make your final decision before March 10th otherwise it’ll disappear from the store!

Btw I dont know if anyone knows this BUT if you have the Bart cave then his 24 hour task also takes place in the Bart Cave.
Am level 50, have 57 donuts saved to get bartman, enjoying this event but spending all night clearing fb points and character tasking, would be nice to have a 4, 8, 12, 24 hour button for all and that way sending all characters on a task at the same time.

Freemium player and been saving doughnuts for ages to get Prof Frink – however after reading all the stuff about Spider Pig wondering whether I should go in that direction and start saving over – I have – 128 doughnuts presently.
Any suggestions please?!
It honestly is personal taste. Limited Time is just that, those that are around to stay you have all the time in the world to think on. Just ask yourself, 3 months from now will you still be happy with the purchase?

I think the animation is really cool. I have been keeping Bartman on a mission there just to keep it animated. If I had to choose between Bartman/Cave and Spider Pig, I would choose SP.
Kinda wish they’d split characters/buildings up more often, tbh. I’m way more interested in having, say, Barney or Stu at a reasonable price than another building. Perhaps EA could do this in the future, with an option to buy both for a slight donut discount.
used the cave to help finish off the edge of the map (after unlocking the most recent row of tiles). not shown in the pic is that it rests in the shadow of the super heroes hq, which is on an island in the water to the north. the most satisfying part was after i had finished completing that path through the trees to the left of the cave. eddie came along, twirling his baton, and walked right down it properly, avoiding all the trees! that’s when i knew my job here was done. 🙂

Was holding off on Bartman for a little and then the cave came out… I decided to wait for this post. I’m almost convinced and I’m not gonna lie, it’s partly because I’m a sucker for cabinet games, and also you make a good point about the 115 “combo” price. BUT, if I get both ill be out of donuts and I can’t really splurge on anymore right now. Unless Fruitbatman comes out. Now I know you’re uncertain about him and I know the policy of don’t tell unless it’s confirmed but my question is this: at the beginning of the event you guys said just wait, there are so many awesome things coming out to spend donuts on. So, Addicts team, in your all knowing, file searching powers and opinion, is there anything coming you think is even MORE worth waiting for? Maybe something with better payouts, gotta have limited time characters or bonuses? I have Spider pig and P-Rex, I passed on the floaty thing, while cool, it’s busy and I chose to enjoy it in neighboring towns. Obviously I don’t expect details but I guess I’m curious if there’s something you see that You’re excited to get your hands on and maybe why without breaking your rule.
There’s MORE coming….including something you’ll be REALLY happy about.
If you’re short on sprinkles I’d pass on the cave and wait. Bartman will be around until the end…so you can wait on him too. 🙂
I really appreciate this post, Alissa, and your hints at what’s to come. I’m sort of in the same decision boat as lekittynoir. I’m relatively new – started during the Christmas Aftermath (or whatever that event was called) and just breached level 34 this morning – and have nothing premium save for Spider Pig (whom I blew my Duff Brewery savings on). I was at 59 doughnuts when Bartman was released and have been teetering on that decision ever since. So it sounds like the cave is definitely a skip for me and I should probably hold out and see what else the event has in store before pulling the trigger on Bartman. Very much appreciative to EA for separating the decisions out for me.

I disagree with the assessment of looking at it as a 115 donut buy with bartman. It’s not. It’s a 60 donut but for a building. Not sure this one comes from an episode either (?).
Had it been a combo purchase I’d have bought it but thankfully it wasn’t 🙂
I passed on the cave, I passed on Bartman too so it didn’t make too much sense to have the cave then. Plus I really just want to get my consumerism up, especially without tons of Kwikis. Saving my donuts for independent, limited time characters. 🙂
Since I got Bartman, I felt I should also get the cave. That said, I’m not terribly excited about it. Though I don’t regret getting it, nor do I dislike it. I wish Bartman’s Bartcave tasks would divert to it now. I wish it had more than just one 16 hour task for it. That said, I believe I will enjoy it more once I relocate it in my town. In other words, I’m pretty sure I will move it to a place where I think it makes more sense.
Hey, wait a minute! I just sent Bartman on his 1 hour task at the Bartcave and indeed it is now diverted to the actual Bartcave! Cool. I’m liking it better already.
It IS cool, but doesn’t really earn much and wont help earn event currency. I think I will hold off and see if there are any other goodies coming our way during this event.
On the plus side I am earning 3 donuts a day from the event currency bonus.
This is a pass for me. I’m so glad Bart’s skin was separate because I would not have paid 115 donuts for a skin. This cave isn’t bad, just not for me.
Don’t even think the Bart Cave has an animated task. I got it but it is kind off a decoration and not one that is easy to make out unless you zoom up on it. Just a so-so item.

Bartman isn’t a separate character, he’s a skin for an existing character. That’s why he isn’t sold with the cave as a combo. 😉
Skins have been sold with buildings before..for example McBain and the Film set (which is 120 donuts btw..more than this one), Flanders and the SKi Lift to name a few
Plus also the Lisa and Castle. Bart and Kamp Krusty. Homer and Santa Village. There are plenty of skins/buildings combos.

I went for it and positioned the ‘cave’ directly behind the Flanders house. Because that’s exactly where Bart would’ve dug a gigantic ugly pit.
