Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The Superhero Event is upon us and Springfield has been invaded with Superheros, creeping Criminals & a whole new Comic Book look! In the second Issue of the Superhero Event, action will slow down a bit as Clownface takes over. You’ll see the questline require more prizes in order to progress…but don’t be discouraged. For the lull in the questline doesn’t mean a lull in the action. There’s plenty of Criminals to tap, Felons to clobber & pie, lots and lots of pie!
The Event is broken up into 4 Issues, with each Issue containing part of the Story. To help you along with the story line you’ll get at least 3 prizes per Issue. Each prize will help further move you through the story and uncover what comes next! For Issue 2 you’re tasked with collecting Pie Bombs to unlock each prize! The third Issue 2 prize awarded at 55,000 Pie Bombs is Dr. Colossus an all new character for your town!
So let’s take a closer look at this evil villain and just what happens when you unlock him in your Springfield!

Once you’ve collected 55,000 Pie Bombs you’ll automatically be awarded the Collector and you’ll see this message popup:
Once you’ve won Dr. Colossus some dialogue from Dr. C will start up immediately and the action in the event will continue again.
Dr. Colossus Returns!
Dr. Colossus: It is I – Dr Hector Von Colossus- the greatest evil genius of all time!
Fallout Boy: *gasp* Of course! Dr. Colossus must be behind Radioactive Man’s death!
Dr. Colossus: The Mind Control Ray I purchased online worked better than I’d dreamed. ANd it came with free shipping! I suppose we should now call him Radio-Inactive Man? HA HA HA HA!
Make Dr. Colossus Laugh Maniacally- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Dr. Colossus: With Radioactive Man out of the way, I have big plans for Springfield. Some might even call them…COLOSSAL… MUA HA HA HA!
So what happens next? You’ll have to wait until Issue 3 to find out…
But as you can see…Dr. Colossus is an important part of the story-line & will be needed for the start of Issue 3.
So What Can I Make Dr. Colossus Do?
Right now he doesn’t have a whole lot of tasks unlocked, as most of his questline will come with Issue 3 (like Clownface). However, he does have a few tasks he can do…unfortunately none of them earn event currency at the moment. But here’s a look at what he can do until Issue 3 Unlocks:

Currently he has more tasks that are locked…and will require a quest that will trigger once you reach Issue 3.
So for now…don’t stress about the locked tasks. They’ll unlock when Issue 3 hits…as more questline progresses.
Also…don’t panic about the story-line stopping for now. It’s supposed to. Once issue 3 hits it’ll pick back up, as long as you have Dr. Colossus.

I have gotten all the prizes but have not yet to build the news paper building that you build by collecting capes, handcuffs and phones. When the second event finishes, will I still be able to build in during the 3rd event? Thank you in advance.

I’m finding it odd that I have some friends who, despite the counter indicating they’ve been plaing regularly, refuse to clear the alarm calls. I can only capture criminals in their towns as there are no buildings to tap. It’s most frustrating; there is no benefit to them doing this. It’s almost like they are unaware that one of the goals is to clear these handshakes and collect the payouts in timely fashion.
Hey everyone. I have also earned more than 60 donuts during this event. I’m mostly a freemium player but since I was getting so many free, I bought $10 worth. I bought Bartman and his cave, choosing that instead of plopper. I am still surprised that plopper seems to be more popular than Bartman. I know Bartman is just a skin but it’s such a classic simpsons character. I haven’t ruled out getting plopper but even on an ipad he’s quite small.
Anyway, I have a question as I prepare for issue 3. I have stopped fighting felons so I can get freeze rays for them tomorrow. If I start fighting them before issue 2 ends, when I wake up in the morning and issue 3 has started, will I get freeze rays for them? Also, 6 is the limit of felons, correct? Thanx and have fun.
Yes, if you have completed all the collection of items for Issue 2, Issue 3 will start up… so the currency will change. 6 Felons.
Yay donuts, indeed. Question about the prizes for the next issue. With all this bonus currency, is there a chance many of us will unlock the first prize almost immediately?
I missed a few days because of the snow and stuff I’m still trying to get the collector , I don’t think imma get past the first prize of issue 3 since the event ends in 2 weeks not sure about issue 4 tho because it’s not revealed yet

Why? What happened? Did you meet the pie goals? If you did and you didn’t get your prizes (make sure to check your inventory to see if they’re in there!), then I think it’s time to contact EA!
I am loving that I finished this event 7 days earlier too (as others too have posted this). And I have been trying to get as many of the bonuses to rack in the those donuts. My 1.5 mil account has dropped really low, so now I am just focusing on building it back up.
Now I am trying to get Friendship lvl 15 so I can get back my donuts there too!
It’s been a great addictive event!!! I cannot wait to see what else is introduced.
Is anyone else concerned by the size of it blows and the ZC buildings??? Seems like they are sized way differently than the rest of the Springfield buildings. It blows and the store front are way too big. The ZC lofts are too small. Anyone contacted EA about keeping a sizing scale and ratio? I can’t find decent places to put these cuz of the scaling!!

I want to check if it is true that if you are playing for donuts bonus in this event, we must be careful when visiting friends. For example, if you are around 3990 pie bombs, we should not continue visiting friends as the bonus donuts may be cancelled if we crossed the 4000 mark?
I only know that points do not rollover and will reset to zero. I have been playing using the above assumption as I think I read it from someone.
It has happened in other events. The Bonus round it odd. You usually need to be home to collect or it don’t count. However there is a flip side people have run into. Since it doesn’t “count”…players have found they have been able to do the Bonus Round Twice. Lol.
If we’ve got Dr C, are we best holding off tapping criminals now until issue 3 hits to give a good head start?
Criminals you can keep clearing…Felons i’d leave a few 🙂
It would give you a jump start…just keep in mind that they spawn pretty fast and you can be MAX within a few hours.
Just wanted to add to the “Yay Donuts!!!” bandwagon, here.
A good thing with being able to completely clear my Springfield revenue signs is that I have a better cushion to absorb the occasional 150-300K hit, when necessary to get 3 doughnuts. I wouldn’t have been able to get Bartman for free without the Super Bonus.

I’ll second that! Between the first two issues I’m up to 15 free donuts. Should get 3 more tonight before issue 3 drops. As a freemium player, loving this bonus.
What happens if you don’t have Dr. Colossus yet when part 3 triggers?
Nothing, you’ll keep earning pie bombs until you get him. Even after Issue 3 hits

Is it just me or is everyone else also seeing a surge of criminals from issue 1 in addition to the clown wigs we have?
I see them. I see at least 5/30 without clown wigs. It’s weird.
However, it is also weird that I have never realized when you tap on the Fruit-Bat Signals, they light up for
3-4-5 seconds.
I see it too randomly. Yet it still gives you the pie currency.
I am as well, thought that was weird.
I have been looking everywhere for the trick as to how to increase the chance of getting 3 donuts on the bonus. Where is it?

What I look for in these events are things I can use after the event is over. For example, I really like the Springfield Bank. Once the event is over Krusty will go back to being Krusty. Comic Book guy and Homer the same. Some of these villians will go away. Entertaining enough even though. Keeping me busy which is good.
i love the fact that we get free donuts for every 4000 pies and can hardly wait to see whats the next item to unlock

Bunny has a trick to the donut payout. You click and hold the far right donut and wait for the lights to cycle through the three different patterns, then let go. I have a 50% success rate of getting 3 donuts with her method.
My first time that I won an additional 4000 pie bombs, I picked a box and got two donuts. I’m not willing to retry for V$150,000.00 (V$=Virtual Dollars).
I’m working on my second 4000 additional pie bombs and I want to buy more pie bombs (by speeding up the HQ). If I earned 2 donuts, I and use it on more pie bombs, I could waste donuts and get only one donut for my two donuts. In other words, fin611057840, you’re not the only one with donut trouble.
Bunny and Alissa have a trick for getting three donuts everytime. Maybe they can remind us..

I was able to capture 3 criminals that were harrassing, stealing and creating chaos in your town but unfortunately i have not been able to report any crimes that i witnessed and no one believes me! Your town is completely overrun with terrorists and criminals! I think Chief Wiggum and Mayor Quimby are utterly overwhelmed and crying for their Hand Of Justice! Oh, Krusty is hitting the bottle harder than usual too! 🙂
Loving the extra donuts, I’ve been in bonus mode for almost a week, and was getting it not quite daily at first, but the expansion of my tower and a little focus on timing and I am up to about 2x a day.
Right at the start of the event I predicted I’d get 15 goes at free donuts. With just a few hours to go that’s exactly what I’ll get. 45 from issue 2 to add to the 15 I got in issue 1. Nice.
I had a good run on donuts from visiting friends too just before they introduced the new FP prizes AND got 5 from Sideshow You (not my 300th go either).
All in all I’m on a good streak for the sprinklies. Long may it continue!
I hope issues 3 and 4 are as ‘easy’ to meet the targets cos I won’t be able to play as much over the next 3 weeks.

15 Bonuses in the 1st round + 45 Bonuses in the second round = 60 tries at 3 doughnuts each.
No, sadly not. In issue 2, 15 goes gave (or will give – 1 to come) 45 donuts. In issue 1, 6 goes gave 15 donuts – I didn’t have enough cash to get 3 every time.
No, he said 15 *goes* (45 donuts) from the second issue, plus 15 donuts from the first issue, for a total of 60 donuts.

I actually finished this one early enough that I’m raking in free sprinklies! Plus I have been squirreling away money so I pay for the attempts to get three without denting my savings!
I am loving the super hero event. I just long for more tasks that are event specific. Looking back… I think the super hero card for extra pies was a great donut buy. Haven’t done the math yet; but, earning prizes early and lots of free donuts is a nice payback.
Will Sky Police make it to our towns??? Mua ha ha ha!
The bonus currency you get from owning the card won’t add up to any additional free donuts. It only gives you 270 more donuts per day. It might give you enough event currency to get to your next set of super bonus donuts, but in order to pay for itself you would have to qualify for the super bonus 30 times over by it’s own earnings.
It could have gotten you the Arbitrarium a little bit earlier( maybe 34 criminals tapped to unlock the Arbitrarium could have been tapped to give a chance at earlier upgrades for the HQ which would give a very slight edge for the event), and the prison could have been unlocked for an additional felon or two, However you would have needed to get somewhere around 1,500 carbon rods from those slightly earlier unlocked achievements in order to get the one additional shot of free donuts.
It might make a difference for those people that can’t check into the game very often, but there is no way it can get anywhere near recovering the donut cost for the item.
However, since there seems to be no information on Issue 4 I have no comment on whether or not it will prove to be a worthwhile investment.
Free doughnuts! I’ve had the Dr for a week now and those pies are so easy to collect I’ve been getting 6-9 doughnuts a day! So the way I see it, I got Bartman for free. Although I would love to progress in the story, I could wait another week.
