Note: Make sure you get another in-game update download screen. If you don’t see it, hard close and restart TSTO.
UPDATE BUNNY: We do not know if it is due to the major issues with Apple Market Down or something else, but Gil was pulled from the game again. For those that bought the car and had it taken away (mine is still there) please contact EA right away if your donuts were taken and not returned.
In the meantime, we will keep an eye out to see if the Gil Deal makes a return.

Our old friend Gil is back in Springfield and this time he’s selling “The Homer” Car! How awesome is that?
This is an in game update that will hit your devices bringing Gil back to Springfield! Note: I had to hard close and restart TSTO to see the update, so if you’re not seeing it try hard closing and restarting TSTO…
So just what’s the deal this time? Let’s take a look…
For those that don’t remember “The Homer” is the car Homer created for his brother Herb Powell….could this mean Herb is coming soon? I certainly hope so!
When you tap on Gil in your town he’ll start up some dialogue:
Gil: Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf Ball. This car’ll get ya anywhere you want to go!
Homer: No way!
Gil: Yes way! Also, it was design by a former metal patient! And believe me, it shows!
So for 82 donuts you can own this epic failure!
If you purchase it you’ll see…
Gil: Congratulations on your purchase. Did I mention it comes with somebody’s garage door opener?
If you decide against it you’ll see…
Gil: This deathtrap of a car is going to be the ruin of old Gil!
If you don’t purchase it you’ll still be able to access it from your store menu (or from Gil walking around)..
Here are a few quick specs on “The Homer”:
The Homer is 5×3 in size. It’s an animated decoration, when you tap on it the lights flash. Also, it adds a 3% bonus to all cash and XP

Homer: You sound just like Marge when she accepts my apologies.
Now….time for a little speculation. This Addict (along with Bunny) both think this means we could see Herb in the very near future! How awesome would that be?

Why does game crash ever 5 seconds makes it hard to play when this happens also how do I get some of my donuts back from the previous event on the credit card thing as it ended before it was worth it I seen somewhere that players were complaining to EA and getting 15 donuts back as the math wasn’t adding up let me know and thanks in advance

this is bullcrap old gil just showed up today in my Springfield and i turned down his offer and went back mins later to get the car and it was gone
Should be in your store, if you don’t see it contact EA
Before jumping right to “bullcrap,” maybe you should check and see if you’re right, first (which you’re not, unless there’s a problem with your installation). Go into the store and tap on the golden Buddha statue icon and you should find it in there. If it’s not there, and you’ve tried the usual troubleshooting steps (hard closing, uninstall/ reinstall, etc.), then call EA and I’m sure they’ll fix your problem for you.
I find it’s much better for my own happiness to assume the best of intentions of others (including a company like EA), until they’ve proven that they’re untrustworthy.
I’m not sure if this is to do with this update but my SideshowYou suddenly stored working again XD it says “requirements not found” I think. Everything else seems to be fine.

It’d be great if Herb returns in game, but he’s rich again. How? How is he rich? Because so many “Sky Fingers” ordered The Homer, it put him back in business.
I can see a story like that unfolding.
This is must buy for any True Simpsons period.
So frustrating! Can’t access the game until I update and so I have to download using cell data if I want to tap bad guys at all for the next 8 hours. A cell signal that sometimes gets 1 bar signal if I prop my phone in the window at work, takes forever, and loses connection frequently… Only to have to do it all again today for the same offer I don’t want. It would be nice if they had the update show up before I left my nice speedy wifi at home.
Thanks for the update about it being pulled by apple, so I can hope it doesn’t happen again tomorrow.

Does anyone know if or when the homer car will be released back. I really really wanted to get it and didn’t have the chance to and now it’s gone and I’m just really mad at ea right now because I really want to buy the homer car.
It’s back now. I think yesterday’s issue had more to do with the iTunes issue than anything…

begin rant – every time he’s back? My game network cr@ps out (I get the Bart Screen), or my Game Screen freezes (has new Moto X, this shouldn’t be happening on any game app that’s in its 3rd year, contacting EA doesn’t help me) – end rant!
By the time i had boughtbought a Google play card I had missed the deal I thought it went a bit early I wasn’t too upset its expensive and doesn’t give a great return and Herman appears but should have been part of an update. I would love the Powell car factory and a billboard advertising the homer and an infantile speech translators quest to hold Maggie above his head and the Monorail.
