It’s Superhero time in Springfield! And there’s a new “superhero” in Springfield to help clean up crime! Fruit Bat-Man has arrived! While he’s a fairly new addition to The Simpsons (original Episode aired in 2013) many of you have been asking just when he’d be brought back to Springfield…well he’s finally here! Now I know many of you are trying to decide if this winded superhero is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to help you decide what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Fruit Bat-Man to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this senior citizen crusader to YOUR Springfield!
Character/Skins: Fruit Bat-Man
Donut Price: 90 Donuts
Originally Released: 2013, during the Dark Knight Court Episode tie-in. And yes, when he was originally released he was premium for the same 90 donuts.
Pros
-Premium skin earns 50% more cash and XP on all Jobs
-Can help attack Felons, in fact he’ll attack a felon in 3hrs
-Comes with a questline
-Returning costume from the early days of TSTO, a chance for newer players to pick it up.
Cons
-A skin for Mr. Burns, not an independent character. So you’ll have to have Mr. Burns available to use.
-Doesn’t come with a building/decoration
-Does not have a event currency earning task, beyond attacking a Felon. So if you have no Felons available in your town…he won’t earn event currency.
Final Thoughts
Premium
This one, in my opinion, is a premium toss-up. If you’re a completionest this is one you’ve probably been looking forward to EA bringing back for a while (I know a few of you who couldn’t wait for this one), however if you don’t really feel an attachment to the character you may want to pass on it. Still lots of cool things coming to the game & this one doesn’t add a tremendous benefit to the Superhero Event, beyond attacking Felons. So if you weren’t instantly wanting this one, I’d say pass on it.
For the record….I do own Fruit Bat-Man and have had him since he originally was released. So I purchased him way back then when there was no event for him to benefit (I just thought he was cool)
Freemium
I’d pass on this one. It may be tempting, since he’s from way back in 2013 and this is the first time they’ve brought him back, but I’d still pass if I were a freemium player. Your donuts are better spent on Spider Pig or Bartman. Pass on Fruit Bat-Man and save those sprinkles for something better….
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ve purchased him way back when he first came out! However, whatever you decide remember this is a limited-time item and will disappear when the event ends. So make sure you make your final decision before March 31st or he’ll disappear from the store!

Skins aren’t worth that much
I had been looking forward to this for a long time but feel EA got a bit greedy with the price. I’ll have to pass on principle…
I’ve spent more donuts on this event than any other event, but I had to pass on this. My primary reasoning, though, is that I already have a premium skin for Mr. Burns now that the Stonecutters skins are premium (for the most part– some still pay out normal rates for some reason). So I wouldn’t benefit from the premium skin aspect after this event, and I’d just be getting this skin for the skin itself, the quest line, and nostalgia. It was a pass for me, but I didn’t make my final decision until this post. Thanks for helping out!
I finally earned enough donuts playing this Event to purchase the Bart Man skin for Bart Simpson (I feel that if you have earned enough free donuts playing? it’s your right to purchase what you want).
As cool as Fruit Bat Man looks? his skin isn’t earning freeze rays with a task (which is lame), he just allows one more character to fight a felon (by now? you should have enough characters to do this).
I still think Bart Man should have come with his Lair vs purchased separate (but I’m sure it would have cost more donuts and the free ones I earned would not have been enough). I am kind of surprised that Fruit Bat Man did not come with a Vehicle (but this Event is not over, so who knows what will arrive and the game app store next). 😉
Originally his signal was kind of his extra item, but coin buy… so they kept that the same. 😉
Been going a little donut crazy during this event, had to have Bartman, Fruit Bat Man, Spider Pig, (lvl 50 Jessica Lovejoy) didn’t even hesitate on The Homer! Passed on the Bartcave and the flying Fortress. Pretty sure Death Mountain will being going straight into inventory until Halloween…
I already have Burns’s stonecutter outfit; this pays out premium, so I passed on this skin.
I enjoyed this episode with him, so I had been looking forward to this skin returning to the game. I got it right away.
I dont know where to ask this, but will we be able to keep Superhero HQ , Death Mountain Burns state penetentiary and Springfield bank?

I’m a completionist and I couldn’t wait, as soon as he appeared I shelled out the sprinklies and now I have every character and every skin. All I need now to have the complete total everything set is the Mapple Store. Please Please Please EA….
I agree!! All I’m missing is the Mapple store. I was really upset this Christmas when they didn’t release it. However, the other previous Christmas items were released. Hopefully this Christmas?…

I am obsessed with the first maybe 12 seasons of the Simpsons.. That’s why Bartman was a no brainer for me… FruitBatMan? I honestly did not watch that episode, so I won’t be buying this.
For me.. the Simpsons is the first 10 seasons. Those were the best, everything to come after, is ok. I still watch- but I am not going crazy over buying there related game tie-in’s.
Stonecutter doesn’t have a 4 hr task though, which is the length I use most often. Not enough by itself to justify a buy, but I do find value in this over the stonecutter skin. I mainly bought it because it looks cool though :o)
burns’ stonecutter skin does have a 4 hour task, it just requires the money pool to go swimming in it.
Ahh, I missed the first stonecutters event and the money pool didn’t come up in the recent re-run

To bad none of his outdoor tasks involved walking around, especially the flying one. Still funny though, as long as you don’t activate them while he’s behind a building.

I bought him because I loved the irony of Mr. Burns as a hero. Plus I love his animated task!
If there was no other premium earning skin for Mr. Burns, I would go for it. But there is – stonecutter and vampire skin. So pass for me. Would better buy Rich Texasan or Lawyer for these donuts (or save some more for Disco Stue or Crazy Cat Lady.
