Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Since the craziness of “event season” is over (you know where we have back to back to back to back events…October-now) we figured it’s the prefect time to bring back Springfield Showoff! Where we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
And since the Superheros Event just ended last week I figured now would be the perfect time to show us what you’ve done with your Superheros stuff! We’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs next week. So show us what you’ve done with all that Superhero Stuff…

So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure it is there by about noon EDT Tuesday. Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

Ok I just mapped my whole town, turned out to be 40Mb so I won’t post it here. I used Blustacks & Photoshop this time, only took me about an hour. I have uploaded it to the Flikr group if anyone is interested. For this post I just cut out the two applicabable areas.
First off is my Zenith city, it’s pretty big so you will probably need to click through to the image to see it properly. I wanted it seperate from the rest of my Springfield, as you can see I ‘lowered’ it, took me forever. I still have some minor tweaking to do but it’s pretty much done.

Second is my little hero area, good guys on the Right, bad guys on the left (hopefully this is obvious). I decided the Fortress of Choclitude was evil 😉 I am not really happy with this area, I have incorporated the basic design elements that I’m after but optimally I would have double the amount of space to do it in. For now it will have to do. I could really use more land…

That looks cool, the Radioactive Man statue fits in perfectly with it.

Won’t be putting pics up of my town I’ve had to squeeze everything in as can’t afford any land So my towns a mess haha. Trying to get through all the levels (I’m level 31) and will worry about making my town look nice once im higher level. Now that we can’t do house farms though I don’t know how people are meant to build up any money to get anywhere!!
I got to the max level no problem without any farming. Just use the shortest tasks you possibly can and be sure to have 100 neighbors and visit them all every day. (I think there was a third thing, but I’m drawing a blank at the moment…)
I never had any house farms, also until I hit about level 42 I didn’t have very many neighbours. The key for me was optimal task farming, I set all my characters the same length of time job (the shorter the better), set my alarm and collected all at once then started them again. The only exception to this was the characters doing mission tasks. Now I don’t have any problems with money, I make about 500K a day and the few houses I have are just somewhere that I keep uncollected for neighbours to tap on.

I integrated Burns’ prison into an overall Felon Throughput System that delivers criminals to a designated dumping grounds:

Well, I couldn’t get my entire Zenith City stitched together in one photo (odd overlap), but I just emailed 2 pics of my ZC and one of the bank in my Springfield area. Yay! I love seeing what people do with their designs. Maybe that’s why it takes me 2 hours to visit my neighbors every day! 😉
Out of curiosity: does anybody have a preferred photo stitching app? I downloaded AutoStitch, and it seems to work fairly well, even if the details are a little fuzzy. Recommendations, anyone?

I also love the way Burns’ Penitentiary color coordinates with Krustylu Studios (and I expanded the purple theme with the Zenith City Lofts).

I like to integrate buildings as best I can into my Springfield, one I was particularly pleased with was using the botanical gardens as a part of the High School complex. It’s in my “posh” area of town, as is the Burns State Prison which you can see a corner of, seeing as it used to be an opera house and all 😛

And here’s where I incorporated the bank (which I was so happy we finally have!) into my Springfield town square. So yeah not very exciting designs necessarily, but I’m all for integration 😉

I did something similar with my Zenith city, I used the water to separate it from the rest of Springfield. Looks awesome!
Here are my superhero areas. By the way I used an app called autostitch to stitch the images together in less than 10 seconds. It may not be perfect but it saves so much time

I emailed them. Mine is the one with rad man statue next to superhero ha and burns state prison and kane anor next to bank. I forgot to put name in the email.
I lined up a bunch of gas pumps and put Homer’s car in front of the Zenith city store front so it looks like a gas station now.

Lol my superhero area takes up almost half my town. I think I will just do the whole map, I can easily cut stuff sections from it later. Might start doing it tonight, I have almost finished my renovations 🙂

Havent’ done it yet, but I’m thinking of using the “Destroyed” Radioactiveman Statue as sort of a junk yard behind the Electronics shop (Forget what its called, the one with the man holding up the big tire, at least I think its an electronics shop lol)

Your Radioactive Man Statue is punching the bottom of the Radstation Air Fortress.
All the buildings are heterogenous and do NOT fit together !!!
I don’t know how someone will “win” this contest, considering how each building looks completely independent from the others in terms of design…but good luck to you all.
I have a REALLY nice event area for Halloween, a crappy but homogenous event area for this last Xmas event…but this event, I just placed the buildings randomly, trying to fit them where they looked best. They all don’t fit well together, as I’ve previously said.
No one wins and there’s nothing to win. It’s not a contest. It’s a way for everyone to show off what they did

I like what you did with the fences. It seems to fit right into the style of kane manor.

I used the Stonecutters fence with my Kane major, but I used the other side of them, so it would look different than the fence around my Stonecutters Lodge, which is just across the street.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what others have done, because I have no idea what to do with Death Mountain or the giant Radioactive Man statue. Right now, they’re shoved in a far corner of my town away from everything else because they’re too big and unsightly (IMO). I don’t want to store them away due to losing characters/tasks, but I am at a loss as to how to integrate them nicely.
