This weekend we’ll be doing another edition of Springfield Showoff! Where we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
And since Easter just ended I figured now would be the perfect time to show us what you’ve done with your Easter stuff! We’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs on Saturday (4/11). So show us what you’ve done with all that Easter stuff…
and more…
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure it is there by about 8pm EDT Friday (4/10). Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

I couldn’t think of too much to do with the easter stuff, I did use the coloured picket fence to replace the bogstandard fence I had around my Springfield Elementary playground.
My favourite change was changing the iron railings I had around my Writer’s Building. I swapped it for the easter fences 🙂 It’s my tribute to Binky and Bongo seeing as it’s Matt Groening’s building 🙂

This is my ‘Easter Island’. I only put the little park with the Easter float and egg hunt in it for this picture to make it a bit more Eastery, the rest is permanent.

i got a few easter fences and pastel picket fences in there! also some superhero stuff, which i dropped the ball on sharing in the previous showoff post. below is a dropbox link for the full size resolution, if you’d to view in all its glory, as services like flickr and google photos restrict the viewing display size of the images (to 2048×2048 i think).

I love your town Tapebelt, it’s good to know there are others out there just as addicted as me ;).
I needed to lower the amount of hedges on my Easter Island so decided to put something on the slopes. It ended up looking pretty similar to yours, I’m not sure how much influence you had but it was probably a fair amount. I did it without Inspecting yours first but did after I was done. Ended up borrowing your snapdragon idea for lining the walkway up to my statue, thanks :).
love that easter area, and you designing of residential and commercial properties in general. and if you happened to get inspired (unconsciously or otherwise) by anything in my or anybody else’s town, more power to you for successfully adapting it to yours. most of the design ideas in my town have come from things i’ve seen in other towns; there are only so many ways to do certain things in this game, so there’s no shame in utilizing ideas and making it your own.
now that i’ve got my valley and embankment project pretty much completed, i wanna start planning an elevated area similar to what you did for your easter stuff. i’ve still got areas being redeveloped in other parts of my town that i need to complete first though.. and then there is the whole lack of space issue i’m now facing, combined with the threat of my object count rising to dangerous levels…. #virtualworldproblems

Oops, I am guilty of sending to many photos. It was my first time ever submitting screenshots. I’m sorry and I will remember to send way less the next time.
It’s not a problem, we love seeing your towns. Just gets difficult to display more than 2 photos from each tapper when we have so many submissions 🙂

We don’t put them on on dropbox, flickr etc for showoff. They just get posted in the post as regular images.
you must use google or facebook or something like this already right? it’s easy enough to post the photos there and link it in your post here. services like google photos will actually show a preview of the post right here in the wordpress comments.
I only post from my phone, and send the odd image to the email address via secure PC… I don’t use any social networking sites or apps, I limit my “internet presence” 😉
Ah well, the challenges of the 1st world…
well it’s certainly your choice to remain off the grid, so to speak. i was only suggesting google or fb because most people have one or both of those already. if you really don’t want to be a part of those, you can always create a quick account on a site like photobucket or imgur, for the sole purpose of sharing random pics. either way, if we wanna share our towns on here (and you got an awesome town, i strongly encourage it!), it’s only fair to put in the tiny amount of work necessary to make that happen. and if you need assistance setting up any of those, i’d be glad to help!
Thanks Tape, means a bit coming from a legend of TSTO design 😉 This is the first site I’ve ever blogged and commented on, a bit new to the whole thing. If there was an app or something I could load to the phone (Samsung Galaxy S3, unrooted but up to date androidness…) to embed images that would be great, but I haven’t really researched what’s best.
How do I screen print I have Asus tablet and HTC one mini phone
Honestly I don’t know off hand. Usually it’s a combination of the home and power button. Try doing a web search and see what comes up.
I don’t have the same tablet so I’m not sure if this will even help. With my Le Pan I have to hit the power and volume button at the same time and hold them for a few seconds to take a screenshot.
