Should I Spend Donuts on the Farming License?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Harvest time in Springfield!  And nothing says you’re a successful farmer than a farming license, right?  Now I know many of you are trying to decide if this license is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to help you decide what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if the Monsarno Farming License is right for you?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of becoming a card carrying member of the Monsarno Farmers club in YOUR Springfield!

Item: Farming License
Donut Price: 90 Donuts
What Does it Do?: So, basically this license that helps you earn MORE game currency when tapping Mutant Vegetables in your neighbors towns.  With out the license you’ll earn 1 Shovel (Even though Bunny keeps reminding me they’re Spades, I like using the term Shovel…so I’m sticking with it.  To me a spade is a suit in a deck of cards and I’m not a card carrying member of the FFA, so I think I’ll be forgiven 😉 Update: After some debate by you guys…it’s now going to be called a trowel…going forward.  Why?  Because it’s more fun to say than a shovel! (that and that’s actually what it is…) per Mutant Vegetable tapped, or 3 per town .  With the license you’ll earn 2 Shovels per Mutant Vegetable tapped, or 6 per town.

So basically this will double the amount of game currency you get from visiting friends.  Currently it caps at 90 actions, so with out the License that’s 90 Shovels (or the other currencies if/when they hit).  But WITH the license it’s 180 Shovels (or the other currencies…).  Remember this is ONLY with Mutant Vegetable Tapes in neighbors towns.  You’ll still only be able to leave 10 Seedlings in each Neighbors town.  (5 in other Springfield)
This does NOT impact the amount you earn when tapping in your own town.

Pro
-Earns double game currency when tapping Mutant Vegetables in your neighbors towns.

Cons
-EXPENSIVE…
-Not an actual item so once the event is over, it’s gone.

Final Thought:
Premium
For this event, I’m passing on the license.  Since it only doubles from 1 to 2, I just don’t think it’s worth it.  In past events I’ve picked it up because I can’t always tap as often as I’d like to and it’s benefited me.  (Superheros was one of those events)  But because this only takes it from 1 to 2, I just don’t see enough of a jump for it to me worth my donuts.
Before you purchase/don’t purchase it I would say take a look at how often you can get into TSTO to tap during this event.  If you’re a diligent tapper this is something that really isn’t necessary since it’s pretty easy to earn currency throughout the event.  However,  if you’re someone who won’t be able to get into your town frequently during the event this might be something you want to consider getting.  It may only be a little boost, but it can still give you a boost.
Of course, don’t buy it if neighbor visits are difficult for you to make on a daily basis, since that’s the only place it will help you.

Freemium
Honestly, this is one you may want to pass on.  90 d0nuts is pricey for something that won’t be tangible in your Springfield once the event ends.  Plus you can earn currency fairly quickly if you tap frequently.  So if you’re a diligent tapper, save your donuts and pass on this one.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do, and this is something I plan on taking a pass on.  Whatever you decide, just remember this is one item for the event that’s better the earlier you purchase it.  So if you’re on the fence, I’d say try to make your final decision by this weekend…this way you can get the most benefit over the rest of the event!

And that’s it my friends…the full rundown and pros and cons of the Monsaro Farming License.

What do YOU think of the Farming License?  Are you still thinking about purchasing it or wanting to see how the event pans out the next couple of days before you make a decision?  Thoughts on tapping Mutant Vegetables?  How’s your Shovel count doing?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. I can’t find where to purchase the license? I only see three limited time items in the store (just bldgs). I came in late and need all the help I can get – did I miss the opportunity?

  2. Monsarno Farming License
I guess if a Tapper needs more daily crafting supplies, they will choose to spend donuts on obtaining the Monsarno Farming License (expedite obtaining those items you want during this new Event) ….

  3. the card is a rip off. I do not usually buy them ever but this time I had too because I go away and have to accumulate as much as possible before then as my time will be reduced to a minimum once on holidays.
I am in a pickle upgrade the Monsarno centre or accumulate points to buy the farmer’s market. Will I be able to do both? It does not look like it in ten days! Please help if you have any clues on that one. Thanks, i enjoy this blog

  4. On topic…. if it helps anyone who is new….. in the last event, I managed to collect everything without the licence, and I usually only tap morning & evening with 12 hours at work in between. So in my opinion, it would be a waste of your donuts. ♠🌽🍩
