FYI… If you did NOT complete a task from the prior day, it rolls over to be the FIRST task of the next day. You will lose the higher payout. So finish them BEFORE the reset or you will have it become the next day’s task.

Anyone else noticed that when you upgrade, the number of corn you have collected above the required amount is ok – but the fertiliser in excess disappears and is defaulted back to zero?
Will it reset if you are in the process of completing a task?? So for example you started a 2 hr task and it resets in 40min will it still count your progress??
If you take a peek at the bottom of this very post you are commenting on… you will see my notes in regards to “rollover” on a task not completed. 😉
Ahh I missed it again by 2 hours, I wish that the clock reset it 24 hours at the end when you click the hand, because it is killing me this is the third time I haven’t completed my tasks. I’m here in Phoenix Arizona and at about 11-12 o’clock whatever 12 I believe and so right there if I fall asleep in 6-8 hours already off the clock and then I gotta hurry and try to squish everything in there to do it, oh well very irritating though. I’m right on the heels of the calendar but I’m 2000 spades behind. just got a tweak and switch it up a bit come up with a different plan set an alarm or something I don’t know. but there is a question in this not only is it is that going to hinder me when it comes to prizes and also fertilizer upgrade or is there something that I’m missing. Unrelated but, I just clicked on the Lady Justice Statue and found out she was animated! Is this a new thing or has it always been this way?? Does Little Lady Justice move too?
Always… it is a cool animation. I do not think the lil one does. I will have to double check.
Have to admit that I’ve had to use donuts to expedite a daily task in order to complete them on time (no thanks to game network problems – again!) but the extra fertilizer, corn, shovels are necessary in order to complete these Quests within this Event ….
Looks like they recycled a bug from Stonecutters. That bug was that if you started the tasks right after your reset time (midnight for me), but before the code switches to the new day (in Stonecutters that was 3am for me) then you get task hours from the previous day. So for today’s example, if I started after midnight, and before 3am, I’d get a one hour task for the first task. But if after 3am then I’d get a 4 hour task for the first task. This is all assuming that you finished all the tasks from the previous day. Exactly this scenario happened today to my wife and I. She started at 1am and got a one-hour task as the first. I started at 7:30am and got a 4-hour task.
Yea i thought that originally, but then i started 5 games at the same time of day…all after 8am EDT. 4 of them matched the calendar, 1 of them was slightly off.
Hmmm… That may be the reason why my list of tasks finally matched the ones Bunny listed for the day.
Either way, today was a good day for the longer tasks. I started a few hours later that previous days; yet, I could still get some sleep and work done without any worry of running out of time.
If there is a glitch (and I am affected), I should expect a 6-hour first task.
I’ll wait for Bunny’s post to see if waiting to start makes any more sense.
BTW, is Bunny posting from an Eastern time zone?
I am all over the USA. I am on the west coast now, but the site is set to run on East Coast. Lol.

I guess I was mistaken about how the bug worked. I was thinking a repeat of the time for the previous day’s 4th task, not the previous day’s 1st task.

Whether it’s a bug or glitch, I figure that it doesn’t really matter in the end as I am usually up at midnight anyway, LOL!
If the first task is and hour or two, I can usually get it cleared before sleeping. If it’s a 4 or 6 hour task. I can get even more sleep. Either way, I can get at least one task done before heading to work!

Just keep sending your characters on tasks.
Seems like it’s meant to be acquired later on as your progress and level up. My guess is as long as we keep sending our characters on tasks like alissa said and keep checking on our game every 2-4 hours, we should easily be able to craft the farmers market sometime further into the event.
Anyone think it is worth hoarding corn and fertilizer for act 2 or craft some of the craftable items available now. Sorry if you all have addressed this already. Thanks!
I believe new items will be introduced for Act 2, and should require different currency. I wouldn’t hoard it, if you have the amounts and there’s something you want I say craft ahead. 🙂
Just completed today’s final task, hopefully we’ll now get a few easier days
I know this is a post about Cecil’s daily tasks, but don’t know where to ask this. I’ve reached level 7 and yet I have a message there is an upgrade available. I even have the hammer & saw icon with an up arrow, but when I tap it it says something about waiting for part two. The upgrade icon is still there. Is this a glitch? I hope the upgrade icon doesn’t interfere with collecting hand spades from the building.
Yea, it just keeps showing up. But you can’t upgrade past level 7 until Act 2 starts.
I was able to collect the event currency, but the hand spade icon was underneath the upgrade icon making it difficult to see.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m finding this update a little confusing since a lot of my characters have 2 highlighted tasks most of the time. So far, I am up to level 5 by simply going through the motions. I also don’t receive the items or prizes that I am working to collect out of the 4 brackets. I visit my neighbors but it is only for friend points and currency. I’m not seeing the little veggies. I’m going to reread the instructions again. I feel like something is not clicking so I’m getting disinterested unlike with the previous updates. BTW: Im on twice a day at the very minimum everyday, collecting and getting everyone on their task. Thanks.
I find I’m always needing more fertilizer than corn so if a character has more than 1 task I pick the task that rewards what I need which is fertilizer in my game.
Hate it when a day ends with a 6 hour task. Started at 6:30 this morning, missed just 2 hours due to other commitments and started the last task with just 5 hours left before midnight. So I won’t get the final pay out. D’oh!
16 hours……. Too long to complete in one day
I finished my tasks yesterday and happened to be up at midnight. So far I’ve had a 1 hour, 2 hour, and now a 4 hour for 4/19… I was on track with you guys until not completing my tasks Friday.
I have Monsarno Research upgraded to Level 7. I also have the Chimp Resources and the Cafeteria built. BUT I only have 779 fertilizer right now (noon on 4/19/15). I don’t see any way that I will be able to craft the Farmer’s Market, Smokehouse and Cane Field in 8 days (I calculate I would need about 3400 fertlizer per day). Even assuming those prizes are still available during phase two, it looks like more prizes will be added that require fertlizer at that time. I can buy corn now, but it doesn’t look like I need corn. I need fertilizer. Suggestions?
Just keep grinding out character tasks. You’ll get there…
I was in my game 4/19 12 hours ago now my google has stopped and i can’t get back into my game. It says will not connect to server. Cleared all my caches and rebooted my phone. I’m on level 51 and am frustated about this ,i have invested money in this game and have been playing this game for over a year. Please help me fix this problem ! I have already reported thus and also checked my WiFi in my home. I have wireless so whats the problem here…….
That could just be an EA issue, they could have the servers down in various sections.

I’m sure you have addressed this but I’m not able to locate it in older post. I have an upgrade available for level seven. When I try to complete it,the next message is telling me to complete the story line in act two. Have I gotten ahead of myself somewhere?
Just ignore it. It’s going around. You can’t upgrade till act 2 starts.
Weird glitch in my game and I wonder if anyone else has it. My lab is upgraded to level 7 but last night the upgrade icon appeared over it (as if to tell me I have the resources needed to upgrade) and it just continues to sit there. It’s not bothering anything, just thought it was odd.

Lucky me, my first daily task was 1hr, 2nd 2hrs…and I don’t know about the rest.
I’m wondering if the farmers market will be available until the end of the event or if it will disappear when act 1 ends in 8 days? I’m playing like crazy. I have tons of characters since I’m such an addict. I’m barely in level 7 I just don’t see how I’m supposed to get $15 k for the market let alone all the other goodies.
It says new prizes added…i interpret that to mean that it will remain. (also based on previous events)
You guys are on point today. I started late and got a 4hr and a 2 hr so far…I actually have things to do today so I won’t get get all 4 events finished if #4 is 6hrs…..but I’m way ahead of schedule with 8500 shovels!
I personally feel like Krusty is a better choice to keep out than wolf castle. Really all you need him for is celebrity since the others cover the other things. And currently wolfcastle has an 8 hour donation to science for fertilizer and Krusty has no event task as of now.
At least my first time was different. Got an hour task for the first, either a2 or 4 hour for the second, which was overnight so didn’t care, and currently on task 3 which was the same 4 hour duration.
My first task was to make a Dimwit Herd Corn (1hr).
Second task – make a Senior Pick up a Mysterious Package (2hr)
Third task, High Roller Clean Up the Brown House (4hr)
Fourth task for me today was to send a Criminal to Plant Sterlized Seeds (6hr)
So for me it was 1,2,4,6
I won’t make today’s 320 spades reward. But that’s okay because I’m doing great with the spades.
I hope tomorrow will have some shorter tasks. I have school so not enough time to do all the tasks.
Is this for everyone? So far today I’ve had a 1hr and a 2hr. And yesterday’s tasks didn’t match up either.
