Level 51/Kids Are All Fight and the Conform-O-Meter

Now I know we’re in the middle of the Terwilliger Event, but I figured now was as good a time as any to post the Level 51 Conform-o-Meter Requirements (that I wrote up before Terwilligers hit).  I’ve also added details about the Kids Are All Fight Episode Tie-in items that hit our games earlier this week.  Check out the bottom of the post for details on those.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 51 arrived in Springfield a few weeks ago and with it arrives a couple of previously deceased characters (back from the dead) as well as some new buildings & decorations to help improve our Conform-O-Meters!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

Of course with the release of Level 51 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed, so let’s check it out and see what the new requirements are.  So now you’ll have all the information you need to maintain that 5-Star Springfield!

Here are the new requirements to maintain a 5-Star Springfield for Level 51

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
    Gluttony
51    560      330       368/391
Tree-hugging
     /Vanity
Righteousness Socialism
40,465/59,420        305     3,168

Indolence, Obedience & Gluttony saw no increase from Level 50 to Level 51, however every other area increase.  Consumerism saw a 20 point increase, while Tree-hugging increased 1,770 points.  Vanity also saw an increase, this time of 2,400 points.  Righteousness also increased, about 12 points…which could explain why some of your Righteousness levels dropped.  And rounding out the list Socialism  saw a 138 point increase.

So now let’s take a look at how these new buildings and decorations Level 51 dropped in impact our Conform-o-Meter:

Item  Cost Category Points
Monroe Family Therapy Center $300,000
(Base)
Consumerism 10
Walk-In Therapy Stand $50,000 Consumerism 10
Forgotten Grave 160 Donuts Indolence 10
Marvin Monroe’s Tombstone 40 Donuts Indolence 10

As you can see everything in the Level 51 update impacts the conform-o-meter in one way or another (well Consumerism and Indolence).

And that’s the latest on the Conform-O-Meter requirements for Level 51!

And as promised at the top here are the quick details about the 3 items that hit our game for the Kids Are All Fight episode tie-in:

Item Cost Category Points
Bart’s Three-Wheeler $7,500 Vanity 250
Lisa’s Car Free Vanity 250
Nightmare Pile 100 Donuts Vanity 1,000

How is YOUR town doing?  Are you maxed out?  If not what area(s) currently needs a boost?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. My righteousness dropped from 5 to 1 star. It has happened before and I have got it back reasonable fast. This time I cannot get it higher than 3 stars. I’ve been sending criminals to jail but it’s just not improving.

  2. Haven’t even made it lvl 51 but my righteousness I’d down from five stars to two. A few of my neighbors keep vandalizing me and it’s irritating me. And I can’t find the training wall in the store.

  3. Sorry it’s another post for you to have to moderate, but I just wanted to say thanks again for all you do to Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee, and an even bigger thanks for your seemingly INFINITE patience! 😀
    Was it a patch? 😉

  4. Mairead E Harvey

my over all stars are 4.5

  5. Any one know that when we got sideshow Bob as proper character, will he still pop out as random as well?

  6. I’m half a star short on my conform-o-meter because I’m half a star short on gluttony. I have every freemium item in the store in my town and I still cannot get that extra half star. Anyone have a tip or two for me that can get me over the hump?

  7. I’ve been half a Consumerism star away from finally getting to five stars overall. Was excited that Dr. Monroe’s building and stand wetter going to add to that…figured I’d finally maybe get to max stars! But, no…they just moved the goalposts. 🙁

I may be wrong, but I think that Consumerism is the one rating that you can’t max out with only freemium items.

    • You actually can max it out – using Kwik-e markets

    • Sandra, I just commented on that last night! I was saying I think EA gets a good little chuckle out of it. Consumerism: “get suckers to drop more dough”? Of COURSE that’s the one they’d make impossible to max out without spending dough for donuts. 😉
      Well, aside from Kwik-E-farms, anyway…

      • I only had to use 4 Kwik E Marts to fill mine up.

      • Bryan- are you freemium or premium, what level, and how long have you been playing? All of those are factors in how many Kwik-E-Marts you’d need to bring your Consumerism rating to 5 stars. If I knew those answers, it would help me figure out if I’m on the right track or not. 🙂 I posted a reeeaaallly long reply to leelosikes below on this thread that includes all my info, if you want to see any of that for comparison. But really, just a reply on your stats would help me out. Thanks in advance!! 🙂

  8. I need gluttony and consumerism, I have been sitting at 4.5 stars for a while now. I can’t really afford to spend too many donuts on premium items. What are some good suggestions to help raise these two categories?

    • Consumerism is tough, because the only thing you can really add multiples of is Kwik E Marts.

As far as Gluttony add stands…Khlav Kalash Stand and Coffee Carts

    • Jo Ann- quick example: I’ve got 9 Khlav Kalash stands hidden just behind my writers’ building alone. If you don’t like the look or want too many, they’re easy to hide. 😉

  9. Game still as sluggish as ever on my numerous devices since this event started and same problems with tasks menu. Way to go EA giving these issues with your latest patch(!). Ahem.

  10. Off topic.

Today is the 100th Anniversary of the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) landing at Gallipoli in Turkey. Australians mark the day in rememberence of all Service men and women who have laid down their lives for their country. On this important day,we also pay tribute to those in the Turkish Army who also lost their lives. As an ex serving member this is a significant day for me.

They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them

    Lest we Forget

  11. Teeny has jobs now!

  12. So I guess if I’m understanding you correctly Alyssa, its just a patch? 😀 sorry couldn’t resist.

  13. I just got an update… Any ideas of what it was for?

  14. Is 100% conformity the most xp boost you can get?

  15. my righteousness level drops randomly everytime i get vandalized or bob shows up. i say random cause the drop doesnt happen right away… it happens afterwards.

the good thing is that even if i dont do anything, it would revert back to its previous 5 star rating after a while. is this normal?

  16. Did anyone else just get another update? I have no idea what it’s for yet as nothing happened with it.

  17. In game update about an hour back. Haven’t noticed any changes. Anyone else? Not talking about the tie-in update.

  18. just got a new update, quite a big one in the game as well,

this isn’t the tie in update I had that already in the game the other day,

monsarto can’t be placed on concrete still either, I can’t see any other updates and it was a big update, i’m on an iPhone.

  19. Had an update when I logged in today. Any idea what it was? And thank you addicts. Enjoy your weekend 😉

  20. Level 51- a very necessary update by EA and this is a very important article that all Tappers should take a look at; as your Conform-o-Meter Levels have changed to reflect the new Level (fortunately, most of the Freemium content versus the Premium content helps keep certain Levels within their 5 Star Ratings) …

I think of importance, also (even though it wasn’t mentioned in this article) are what a Tapper earns (prize wise) during this latest Event (and how it impacts the ratings of one’s Conform-o-Meter Levels) 🙂

  21. What about more boardwalk tiles? I’ve maxed out and the updates have expanded the land a few times.

  22. I’m at Level 30, and I got 3 and half star on the conform-o-meter, but I have a 8.50 bonus, and recently reached $300000, completed the prize/upgrade line for now in the Terwilliger event.
The pet mutant seems to be an oddball 🙂

  23. Tonight for the first time I heard Homer uttered : Don’t Kill Me, Kill the Boy!
This seemed to coincide with side show bob appearance. My push notification was turned off in the game and yet this quote came through. Luckily no one is around me.

  24. Sorry if this has been asked/explained before but is there any way to see what your current “score” is for each item? IE, if it takes 560 points to get a 5 star consumerism rating, how do I find my current points? Do you just have to count up your buildings/decorations/whatever and know (from the wonderful Addicts) how many points each item is?

    • You won’t see your current points, just how many stars you have in each. Only way to see your current points is to count everything

    • Leelosikes-
I was actually working on solving the same question you’re asking! I haven’t gotten it all yet, but here’s how I’ve gotten a ballpark estimate, until I can try NOT doing this on an iPhone 5 screen and use something a bit bigger.
      This post http://tstoaddicts.com/2013/09/09/shop-till-you-drop-maximizing-your-conform-o-meter-consumerism-rating/
has the best info on consumerism, through Level 45. (If link doesn’t post, it’s from this site, dated 2013/09/09, regarding “shop til you drop, maximizing your conform-o-meter consumerism rating.”) Each building that contributes to consumerism adds 10 points, and there’s a breakdown of how many points you’ll need to achieve 5 stars in Consumerism at each level. There’s also a list of all things consumerism, again, through Level 45. 6 more have been added since then, and going through posts for each level (46-51), those are: Classy Girls Strip Club, Little Black Box, Florence of Arabia (premium), Gold Navy, Walk-in Therapy Stand, and the Monroe Family Therapy Center. (If there are more than 6 and I missed one, someone please post it here. I tried to be thorough, but hey, I’m not NEARLY as good at sifting through info as Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee!! Thanks, guys!!!)
Personally, I’m now at Level 51, and since we need 368 points to max it out at this level, you’d have to have 37 buildings (at 10 C-points each) to max it.
I’ve got 27 buildings which contribute to Consumerism, so according to that link, I’m only maxed out to level 39, and according to THIS post, I’ll need 10 more (to hit the 37 required). I’ve got all the freemium ones (with the exception of some freemiums that were limited time availability, but I’ve only played about 8 months so far), and several premiums, but most of the remaining Consumerism premiums don’t really interest me. So that leaves me with a choice: buy some more premiums, wait for more freemiums and hope the consumerism rating doesn’t rise again with the release of new ones (pretty unlikely, I think), or add multiples of freemiums that can be duplicated, namely, Kwik-E-Mart.
I like to make my Springfield look as realistic as possible. (A friend of mine asked me last week, “What, are you going for your freaking masters in civil engineering with this game or something?!?!” Lol, YES.) In that case, I’ll probably end up holding off until some more Consumerism premium items come into the game that I prefer and buying those then, but that’s just my choice. I’m cool with having a 4.5 star town until then. (Actually, I’m not, but I’m trying to be patient, haha.)
So go to that link, or search consumerism on here and then find the one with the title I mentioned, and that will be your gateway, in addition to the new 6 I mentioned from various other posts. I hope some of this was helpful!! Happy tapping. 🙂

Oh, and P.S.- it’s interesting to me that I haven’t seen this mentioned or commented upon anywhere, but… Consumerism rating? “Get suckers to drop more dough”? And it’s the hardest to max out, almost requiring some premium purchases (unless we build Kwik-E-farms)… Methinks EA has a good little chuckle at getting us to spend our dough for donuts for this one. 😉
Apologies to Alissa for having to read this whole comment to approve. I’m a lot of things, but succinct ain’t one of ’em. 😉 Thanks for all your hard work!!

      • Ooh! Also for consumerism: It’s a Wonderful Knife. Yay!! (Premium item, but I got it right away so I can complete my Terwilliger set.)

  25. My OCD and I thank you, once again, for your posting of this information.

Have a great weekend, and Happy Tapping! 🙂

  26. -JohnBostonHippy

I haven’t had to adjust/fix anything to maintain 5 stars since about level 45. Don’t know why really. The only time I dropped is when I had some neighbors (ex neighbors now) vandalize me. Took care of that by hiding some training walls. 😀 I’m getting impatient waiting for act 2 of our current event. I finished act one very early and have only the farmers market left to craft (50% there) Got 6 donuts for bonuses. Ready to move on. I think they stretched this one out a little to much.

  27. I received Bart’s three wheeler a couple of days ago and the Nightmare Pile today, but I haven’t seen anything about Lisa’s car. When is it suppose to show up?

  28. I hit level 51 today. My monroe family therapy centre is priced at 1200000 😮

    • Sorry just looked at the ‘base’ post 😳

    • Yea im building the therapy center now finally! Took me a week to save for it. Im gonna start saving for next from now😇

      • I was semi-saving for the therapy center in that the event was keeping me occupied enough to not spend, but now the Monsarno event is contributing to the gentrification of my Springfield, last night I blew my savings on fat plots of land and Cletus’es clan followed their dream to more spacious, rural landscapes becoming neighbors with the old Simpson farmhouse. The Muntze’s are currently bereft until I decide if they follow suit. In the meantime cartooney family therapy is going to have to wait (they’d probably be better off waiting for the Relation-Ship anyway)

  29. Glad to see non-premium items introduced that boost consumerism!

  30. For me, Indolence and Consumerism are the two in need they’re at 3.5 stars. All the rest are maxed out. Funny part is, I’ve been leaving Bob alone when I get notified of his presence in my town because it’s been every other day just about, and this morning I checked my Conform-O-Meter and my Righteousness rating was down a star. Nothing a few Training Walls didn’t fix :).
