Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
This weekend we’ll be doing another edition of Springfield Showoff! Where we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
With all the additional farm items that the Terwilliger Event has brought us (Willie’s Tractor, Old Simpson’s Farm House) I thought now would be a great time to show us your farms! We’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on Saturday (5/2). So show us what you’ve done with your TSTO Farms!
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure it is there by about 8pm EDT Friday (5/1). Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

my farmland/rural area. must admit campground overlooking the airport is less than ideal, but when i originally planned out and created my valley, i had a windmill farm where the airport now is. after purchasing the up up and buffet this past vday though, i determined that the best (and really only) place left to put a full blown airport in my town was where that windmill farm stood. so i tore it down and built the airport, not even considering the campground until after the fact. may try to move the campground elsewhere and enlarge it at some point (have 6 more tents), but too much other stuff going on right now to give it any thought.
set back into the forest is the muntz house, outfitted with an illegal grow op that is run by fat tony, who keeps an eye out on his operation while chillin in his compound on the hillside above. as for what they are growing… could be some of springfield’s ooh wee, or it could be some of bunny’s love karats!
as for cletus’ farm, all i really did with the recent farm items was replace a windmill with the crap silo and hitched a hay wagon to willy’s tractor. fortunately the tractor fit perfectly in the existing driveway, so i didn’t have to alter anything (love how the red of that tractor makes that whole area more vibrant).
and despite my game glitching and giving me two old simpsons farms, i have yet to know what to do with them. i couldn’t figure out any way to fit them into my existing farm to my satisfaction, so i may just leave them for when/if i rebuild my windmill farm.

While on a rebuild of my whole town I recently did this area. Decided I’d put there rest of the forest in it as well to give a better overview.

Looks really cool! I especially like the river divide and pond placement. Really adds to the rural, large acreage feel, like the farmers carved out their homesteads in the forest.

I’ve never done this before but how do I take picture of my favorite area of the town? I see that you can’t just screenshot it because of all extra things on the screen, so little help would be much appreciated 🙂
go to that area, and get it in the zoomed in area you want…then wait a few seconds. All that extra stuff will go off the screen (if you don’t touch it) and then you can screenshot.

I know you can’t do anything about it, but we need a barn for our farms. And an old pickup truck would be nice to.

LOL – I just recently discovered two statues in front of my courthouse are animated. Who knew? It makes me zoom in and tap on a bunch of stuff just to remember, and maybe discover something new. Go to love it!
