In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?
This post I will be going over the Origin of the Museum of Swordfish. Introduced into our games with the Terwilliger Event as an item for Donuts. What on earth is this doing in our game? When did it show up in the Simpsons? Anything cool happen there? Let’s take a look at the TV Series to find out.
Season 14, Episode 6: Great Louse Detective
The Family have got an invitation in the mail for a free weekend at Stagnant Springs Health Spa. While there, it looks like someone tries to kill off Homer.
While intestigavting who it could possibly be, Wiggum figures they need help from someone that can think like the attacker. So he takes them to the Campbell’s Chunky Soup Maximum Security Prison to talk to Sideshow Bob. He ends up moving in with the Simpsons to “help” them.
Later on, Homer ends up being elected the Mardi Gras King and is put on top of the Parade Float. The float starts to go off on its own. Sideshow realizes the float has been tampered with. He hollers at Homer to watch out as the brake line has been cut. He is heading right toward the Museum of Swordfish. That place has been nothing but trouble since they built it.
Sideshow Bob ends up saving him just before the float smashes into the Museum and is speared by all the Swordfish hanging out.
There you have it. A silly building from a silly scene and it is now in our games. Do YOU remember who Homer’s attacker was? Did you get the Museum? If so, where did you put it? Let us know.

Umm, not to get off topic but my Marge suddenly got a new task that I don’t recall ever seeing before on her menu called “go for a romantic stroll with Homer”. Definitely not complaining, it’s a super cute visual outdoor task, just wondering where it came from?
Valentine’s day. Never cleared out.
Hey everyone, I know this is not on topic but I didn’t know where to post it.
Any word on the mystery box? Is it sticking around? I hope they put in new premium prizes with the same odds. I don’t mind the prizes that have a bonus multiplyer but I now have 3 lard lads and they take up a lot of space. Even if they added some premium boardwalk performers, maybe something like police cars or ambulances. Maybe bumble bee man or even the rich Texan. In my dreams I wish they would add the springfield mountain sign, but that’s probably unrealistic, although I was surprised lard lad was so easy to win. Anyway, thanx and have fun.
It’s still there…it looks like it’s just as I suspected from the start. It’s the questline (giving you the free box) that disappeared, not the box itself.
Is there any word on Homer Buddha’s returning?
Nothing yet.
The killer is Frank Grimes’s illegitimate son, Frank Grimes Jr., who was a mechanic, and Homer was actually met with him when he was fixing his car.
I have it tandem to my ‘Frying Dutchman’ on Squidport across from ‘It’s a Wonderful Knife’. I think they compliment each other nicely. I’m not a completionist, but it was one of those buildings that I knew if I didn’t get it, I’d wish later that I had-it’s kitschy cool
I had to get this one immediately, it was too awesome for words with all the spears sticking out. And, I just can’t resist a good swordfish (although I like mine with a little butter and lemon).
I put it in my “culture” corner of Springfield with the Knowledgeum, the Botanical Garden, the Museum of Natural History, the Wax Museum (well, it is a museum after all) and I threw in the Farmer’s Market because I felt it also had that kind of intelligentsia hipster vibe. Of course, I’m going to have to do a major redesign when I get the Opera House!
I have a question. I’m lacking DNA. I’m a freemium player so I have a lot of the characters that earn currency. However only a few earn DNA. For every 10 sideshow bob I tap only 2 have DNA. I’m about 2800 DNA. I want more items than the act 1. Will DNA still be available when act 3 arrives? Also can you please tell me which characters earn DNA so that I can decide to buy the ones I don’t already have?
Yup, it’ll still be around.
What level is your Monsarno? Keep upgrading it to unlock more DNA tasks.
Level 17. I can upgrade all the way to level 19 but I think I should wait. I have lots of corn since that’s what comes out most of the time when I tap sideshow Bob and I bought the corn when it was on sale. As for the fertilizer I’m all ready at 5,500 even thou I upgraded so much without getting the farmers market. I’m concerned about the DNA since it seems to not be adding up to good. Can you please tell me which characters earn DNA. Thanks again for all your help.
This post will break it all down for you, at each level

Ah, how is old grimey anyway
I remember another appearance besides great louvre detective like possibly changing of the guardian.
Another dumb prize in this boring, drawn out event. Who’s with me?
Except…this wasn’t a prize. This was a premium item. So i’m pretty sure the people that have it don’t think it’s dumb…considering they spent donuts on it.
Rather than being rude and critical, why not just keep it to yourself? If you are unhappy with a building, don’t buy it. If you are unhappy with the game, stop playing. It is that simple.
Yes, I got it, and I put it together with the the Swanky Fish Restaurant
I still remember Lisa thought Bumble Bee man was trying to kill Homer..LOL
