  1. With Monsarno at level 15 and the squirter at 13 is it going to be possible for me to save up corn and DNA for Dr Robert? I don’t know if I should keep upgrading them to get better payouts and more jobs or just try to save for him with where they are now.

    • That is really hard to say as it will depend on how often YOU are in your game, putting Characters on tasks, and how many Characters you have for those tasks.

  2. I lost Dr Robert for 400 gas masks 😱

Theres another way to get it now????

  3. A quick question. I have no friends to visit other Springfield’s. Except for a second account, I started, just to be able to visit another Springfield. I feel the lack of visitable towns is hurting my chances of earning corn, gas masks, etc. since no mutant strains are being released in my Springfield by friends. I play my characters as requested by tasks. Yet I feel I’m constantly behind. Like, way, way, way, behind those who have posted abt the Terwillinger event.
Am I correct in assuming that, not having friends to visit their Springfield’s, leaves me at a disadvantage? If so how do I obtain friends?

  4. Do I have to start the malpractice makes perfect tasks? Or is it a side quest I can start later so I don’t have to stop earning craft able currency? I hate how they add meaningless tasks during events. I have at least 3 in my task book. One Is a 24 hour duff man that showed up the day the event started. If you don’t read every comment on every site like this you can go days down the wrong track. So annoying.

  5. I’ve seen sideshow bobs in other towns
(Not the squishables) how do you get him

    • You get sideshow bob, when you get and build the opera house. Which you get by completing the main act 2 storyline

Seems to be about 4-5 days of tasks (the way I play), so, if I start it by 5 days before the end of the event (not Act 2, right?), I should be okay. So, I’m thinking that I’ll see where I am at that point vis-a-vis earning craftables, and then decide whether I can afford to pull currency-earning characters away from earning currency to do this questline.

As for the bonut rounds…does anyone else think that it’s seeming to take a bit longer to earn enough event currency (in this case, the gas masks) to get to those rounds than it has before? I think I earned the doctor a couple of days ago, and I still haven’t reached my first round of bonuts (although I’m pretty sure I will today!). Maybe that’s the reason they slowed down the Cob rates…they figured a lot of folks would have earned the doctor by now (which they wanted to help folks be sure to do) and they don’t want to make getting those bonuts too easy!

    • Less Cobs to tap will obviously affect things but I’m earning at about the same rate as in Act 1 – but my, erm, ‘unusual’ strategy means I’m less dependant on the Cobs for gas masks – but I’m more dependant on them for crafting materials, so I’m suffering there.

  7. When & where does Dr. Robert have the “Mr. Hyde” animation?
I’ve been too busy with event-currency earning tasks that I don’t think I’ve seen him do that yet.

  8. Bangles Dupree

I don’t have the Farmer’s Market yet, but I still think this event is the best ever! There’s so much going on and it is fun collecting several kinds of currency. I am a big fan of squishing mutant Bobs. I love seeing what my friends have done with their Monsarno complex designs too! 😀

  9. I have unlocked Dr but there are no quest line. Who must be free to unlock the quest line?

  10. Hi! Have you noticed an issue with the pay out for DNA with Monsarno Research center?

  11. cjbrownlv788

Dr. Robert Terwilliger unlocked and its fun sending Springfield Characters on Mini Quests from this dubious Quack 🙂

  12. Perfect! ive been trying to find those posts. Thank you Alissa. Youre the Best!! So I will upgrade the Monsarno building and Hope for the best. Thanks again. Your infinite Simpsons Wisdom is Appreciated.

  13. If I don’t get dr. Robert by the end of this act, am I still able to get him in act 3?

  14. Was Happy to receive Dr. Robert this am without having to purchase a building!!! Am having trouble keeping up with the event and making enough cash to buy the ever increasing prices of the land. So adding buildings is getting cramped. lol I am wondering if its more important to upgrade Monsario research and the little cannon thing? if I keep upgrading, I will never earn the Farmers market, or the gas and grub. I am putting all my characters to work for this task that is possible. But the price is just impossible it seems! So which is more important? That I upgrade the building and cannon? or save and purchase the farmers market, and gas and grub? Since it is a task to get these two items, its really bugging me. lol

  15. Ugh the simpsonswiki said in the changes for level 52 that bob clones spawn every 10 minutes 🙁

    Bye bye more currency

    • Yea it’s true…just checked the files as well. Bunny’s working on the random changes post and it’ll have it in there as well.

      • are they back to being 5 drops instead of 3? Can’t say I noticed either way, just wondering. Thought this update might have fixed that issue if Bob’s spawn every 10 minutes now.

      • That’s why I thought it may have gone back to 5 in this update, if less spawn, should go back to the way it was, unless maybe we on average are further than they think we should be, prize wise I’m guessing.

      • That’s really, really sucky. Fair enough if they change it when Act 3 drops, but to change it in the middle of an Act – twice now – is really unfair, especially for those of us that have done a few calculations and modified our gameplay based on those. The spawn rate doesn’t change the calculations much, but it *does* change them and means I did one upgrade too many on my research centre. Although, tbh, it’s so close that it doesn’t really make any difference – it still sucks though.

      • Swiss – So how fast would you have upgraded had you known about this decrease? I think I’m behind you and I want to make sure I don’t go too far…

      • My research centre is at level 22 (higher than Alissa recommends!), I probably should have stopped at 21.

I wouldn’t go that high if I were upgrading today though, the extra days taking advantage of the upgrades make all the difference.
I can’t say how far you should go, it depends what you want to craft and how quickly you’re collecting the materials.
For me it made sense to go that high when I did.

My pesticide squirter is at level 15.
I think it will almost certainly make sense for you to go to 15 too.

      • As for “how fast” – as fast as I could. I upgraded before crafting anything and always upgraded as soon as I could – usually stockpiling a full town of mutant corn when I was close to affording an upgrade.

    • EA sucks…

    • Peppermallow

      Oh that sucks…. 🙁

    • Crusty Krusty

What the heck? I understand decreasing gas masks from 5 to 3, but that is ridiculous!! Now I’m considering buying the 25 donuts DNA special. Is the bonus 40% part of the 700 DNA or on top of it?
      Need. More. D.N.A.

      • Jsander321 (Julie)

This is the second time I’ve seen a question on whether or not to purchase DNA. Personally I wouldn’t do that, I want to spend my donuts on buildings and the like … I’ve yet to see DNA for sale in my purchase area. When did that become available? Hopefully I’m not missing anything else for sale.

  16. Can I wait on this quest line & the new rolling on quest line? It requires homer & Lisa which I need to earn current currency. Also do you think the mutan seed will carry on to act 3? I’m thinking of saving them for act 3. That way I can load up on the new currency. I figured it makes no difference to send them now since my neighbors have not sent me any. Other than the 4 friends who send me some once or twice a week.

  17. Is Plopper part of Springfielders? 🙂

  18. Will this questline still be available after the event? I’m at part 3 right now, but I can’t miss Lisa and dr Roberts another 12 hours

    • Hard to say, it’s not critical to the event so you don’t have to do it. But I have a feeling it’ll be pulled when the event Kill date hits in the files (which is usually what happens to all questlines). But again…it doesn’t get you anything (no extra event currency). It’s just a side quest and not required, so I wouldn’t worry if you finish it or not.

      • Sandra Shill

It kills me, but I think I may just have to skip this questline, since it’s “all hands on deck” for earning event currency. Good thing I could always come back to this site to read any fun dialog I had to miss! 🙂

I suppose there’s also the chance that I’ll make enough progress that I’ll be able to circle back to this closer to the end of the event. But, as far as you can tell, we don’t need this questline to prepare for Act 3, right?

  19. Today was very low with walking mais in my town… EA at work (again) ?

  20. Got him today! Sweet😊

  21. Thanks! Only 208 gas masks away!
