FYI… If you did NOT complete a task from the prior day, it rolls over to be the FIRST task of the next day. You will lose the higher payout. So finish them BEFORE the reset or you will have it become the next day’s task.

2-4-4-6 tasks on the last task now
Since I can’t ever manage a 16-hour day, having a day with much shorter times the next day is really like rubbing salt in the wound, since the previous day’s last task rolls over, leaving me only three tasks I would need to do that day anyway. Now, if I could use the extra time to get a jump on the next 16-hour day, then that would be okay!
I hope they go back to the 24-hour relative clock approach (like with the elf caves) next time…
On the positive side, yesterday I rolled through a whole bunch of red-box tasks, since I kept getting one for tasks that I already had characters about to be done with. 🙂 It would be great if Cecil’s tasks were from the regular bunch of tasks too, so we could have the same kind of advantage with those!
I forgot to start mine last night. I’ll barely be able to make it today. I’ll have to set my alarm to switch out tasks.
This whole starting at midnight is getting ridiculous. I know you don’t have to finish them and they roll over. But the average player who has to work and everything will be asleep and have trouble with 16hours of tasks.
Oh good grief…yeah I’m unlikely to finish this today!
Today mine was the same which hasn’t happened that often before. They do roll over sometimes, which does make the next day easier as one task is already more or less done. I often do start at midnight and today I’m pretty glad I did, because it wouldn’t have been possible otherwise…. Hoping for the Farmers Market this evening or tomorrow morning 🙂
I had 4,2,2,6 today. One of my cats woke me at 5 am which was nice timing, so I was able to start the 2nd task early and the 3rd when I normally get up for the day. I’ve already started my 6 hour final task. Yay!
I’ve even managed to craft the farmer’s market and I’m slowly saving up for the gas and grub.
Ha! Hurray for cats! 🙂 Wish mine had woken me up this morning for the second task, or work for that matter (overslept for that, too). He has woken me up at 5 before, of course. Sometimes on the weekend unfortunately.
I’m in the same boat: finally have enough for the FM and slowly saving up for the Gas n Grub.

My task times today were 4 hrs, 2 hrs, 2 hrs, and 6 hrs.
My first task was a 4 hour task. On a side note….I got 30 doughnuts from the Mystery box today!!!! I’m super happy. 😍
It’s days like this that I start to hate EA. The 16 hour task days is just killing me.
They will be getting more frequent too. There was a post on the EA Help forum where a guy posted all the task times for the whole event. He posted a few days ago and the times he posted match what I’ve had, so it looks like he knows what he’s on about.
Anyway, from here on in, it looks like we’re getting 16hr days every other day – with one exception. The totals he posted (starting with tomorrow’s) are:
11, 16, 9, 16, 13, 16, 10, 12, 14, 16, 9, 16, 11, 16, 13, 16
It’s gonna be tough!

I still haven’t crafted any items because I am upgrading. Should I change my focus at this point? Working on the gas and grub.
How far have you upgraded? Don’t upgrade Monsarno past 19
Oh oh I’m at level 22 for mosarno and level 15 for the herbicide. Any chance I can still craft grab and grub before the next set of prizes?
I have no idea. Too many missing variables. Like how much DNA you have, how much corn you have. How many characters you have. How often you play. It’s an individual thing…depends on how fast you’re earning. Lots of variables. I’d say if you’re within a couple thousand, you should have no problem getting it before act 3 starts.
These days with 2 – 6 hr tasks are rather difficult unless you start them in the middle of the night or stay up late. Any chance we can get this changed? Do we complain to EA? Thanks
16 hour of tasks!? Why doesn’t EA want us to sleep?
I fought to stay awake past midnight to kick off the first job, and it really was a fight.
It was a 6hr one, like yours. If the rest are the same – which they usually are – then I’m *really* glad I did, it would have been a huge struggle to complete the tasks otherwise.
Just got an, interesting, update… Mr. Burns’ money pile (paraphrasing, sorry). Anyone else?

My first task this morning was a 4-hour one. Looks like I’ll be sleeping early tomorrow with the 6-hour you have listed.
