Where Did THAT Come From: Springwood Minimum Security Prison

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?minimumsecurityprisonflipped

This post I will be going over the Origin of the Springwood Minimum Security Prison. Introduced into our games with the Terwilliger Event, Act Two 4th Prize. Why is there yet ANOTHER Prison being added to our games? What does it have to do with this Event? Let’s take a look at the TV Series to find out.

Season 6, Episode 5: Sideshow Bob Roberts
Sideshow Bob is elected Mayor thanks to the Republican Party and Birch Barlow. Shortly after, Lisa and Bart reveal the election to make Sideshow Bob Mayor was a scam (he made it so dead people voted for him), and Sideshow Bob ends up back at prison. But not just any Prison… according to Sideshow Bob it is a savage roach ridden cesspool. Such a horrific place that it is manicured beautifully, has no gates or bars keeping him in, and has a pond that he can have rowing competitions with places like Harvard on. So horrible indeed. 😉Springwood Minimum Security Prison

Season 7, Episode 9: Sideshow Bob’s Last Gleaming
While the family is sitting down watching Krusty, Homer made a comment asking what ever happened to Sideshow Bob. The kids once again remind him how he framed Krusty, tried to kill Selma, rigged an election, then tried to kill Bart. Oh yah. Homer wonders what he is up to, cut to Springwood Minimum Security Prison. It has a front gate, but it is wide open.Springwood Minimum Security Prison 2

There you have it. A simple location that temporarily housed Sideshow Bob is now in our games. What do you think of the Prison? Have you got to it yet? Did you find a place for it in your Springfield? Prefer it next to the other Prisons or does it look better by the houses? Let us know.

  1. Sideshow Bob and his Mutant Corn Selves need to go to Minimum Security Prison (to earn Donuts (lol)

The inside jokes during this latest Event are clever 🙂

  2. Does any one else seem to have the game move slow when moving around town or is it just me? What can I do?

    • I’ve got it too. There’s really nothing you can do at the moment. It’s a product of a lot going on the game at once.

  3. Umm I’m probably wrong on this, but Springwood? isn’t it Springfield?

  4. The Problem Child

Off topic, but I’m hoping for a sale or special this week or weekend because of The Simpsons season finale this Sunday.

  5. I kinda just had a vacant spot on my town that it fit into perfectly, dimensionally, so there it sits. It might get relocated at some point, but, if so, probably not until after the event is over.

  6. I was wondering if I send my mutants out tonight will I get the new currency when I wake up? Or should I wait & send them out in the morning? I’ve waited got 3 days to send them so I may have a lot for the new currency. I also heard we will be getting the springfield police blimp. I can’t wait to see what’s new. Thanks in advanced.

  7. Did just me noticed that the Springwood Minimum Security Prison has the nearly-same sound clip as Burns State Prison from the Superheroes event?

  8. Sorry, off-topic, but I just noticed that if someone plans on using donuts to fully unlock Dr. Robert, it seems to be cheaper to speed up tasks that produce gas masks than purchasing him on the Price panel. In my B-game, I still need about 1200 gas masks, and on the prizes, it says 80 donuts to get him now, but it would only cost 40 donuts to speed up the Monsarno Building 10 times to get 1200 gas masks.

  9. I put it by the other prisons to start with but it just didn’t look right. It’s now got a nice beachfront location with a handy hot-air balloon in case the prisoners prefer to escape that way.

    • 4kidsandacatdog

Yes mine seemed to look better in an oceanfront locale also.

    • I like it. If you’re going to just stroll out of prison, why wouldn’t you prefer a leisurely escape on a hot-air balloon?
